In the 30+ minutes there, we waited over 8 minutes for a server to acknowledge us, then once we placed our drink order, we waited another 5 minutes for the drink to show up. The waiter, different guy from the one who took our drinks stated that the drink I ordered wasnt place and asked me again what wanted. After a debate, explaining that someone took the order, and I felt he was coming with my drink, the waiter seemed adamant the I reorder. In the process of reordering, my drink showed up. No apology or acknowledgement we ordered our meal and the drinks eventually went dry. Not one server/waiter even looked in our direction. After another 20 minutes went by and we left 7 bucks on the table for the coke and tea and headed for the door. The waiter saw us then, and said your food is almost ready.... not the service one would tolerate on a Tuesday evening or any evening for that matter... may I suggest to you readers the neighboring restaurant "Los Tios". Hey Bombay, go see how its done.

Wonderful little Indian restaurant in the heart of Del Ray! My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night to grab some dinner. When we walked in, the place was packed and we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. For the duration of our meal, at least 8 more people walked in either to get a table or order carryout. So popular even on a Tuesday night! I ordered butter chicken with a side of dal makhani (black lentils). Both the chicken and the dal makhani were fantastic. Really buttery and creamy. We also ordered samosas and garlic naan. The samosas are so, so good. All the food I had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Im so glad to have found another quality Indian restaurant that isnt too far away from home. Highly recommend! Additionally, the service here is wonderful. Everyone is super polite, friendly, and helpful. If youre in the area and in search of some great Indian cuisine, stop on by.

Food was below average to be honest. Its surprising to see 4 stars here. Completely misleading the crowd. Server was accommodating but The owner was extremely rough, rude and unprofessional from the get go. He bluntly gave excuses on how he could not separate the bill when asked for and said something like "he needs an accountant" and "he is bad at maths" and therefore insisted us on paying on one bill. Its ridiculous to ask your customers for help with your bill. The whole experience was bad. And when we did provide tips (even after all this crap), the owner still had some complains that it wasnt enough tip ( is he crazy, who tells that to their customers ) and he was unhappy. We were the MOST UNHAPPIEST.

Food was great! My friend ordered the Curry Chicken and the server immediately suggested he try the Chicken... something (it had peppers, onion, and tomato in curry sauce). The waiter also suggested we try the onion stuffed naan instead of the garlic naan I traditionally get. Both suggestions were spot on. I got butter chicken with a side of Spinach paneer. Everything was great! Our server was funny but we had to wait at least 20 minutes for them to give and return our payment. Which is ironic, usually its slow service quick payment. But at any rate, I would come here anytime Im in the area!

Service is OBVIOUSLY trained to cater to customers based on skin pigmentation. Hence the positive reviews from some reviewers who may possess lower melanin levels. One of the waiters specifically has an extremely rude demeanor. To top it off, the hygiene of the place seems poor and I have gotten upset stomachs on more than one occasion after eating at this place.

Fantastic curries and biryani. The chicken curry is awesome and they have the best butter chicken Ive had aside from Rasika. The dal whali murghi is spicy and very good as well, and the biryani is most and so flavorful. Very nice new space since they moved from the old Calvert building, though they dont have high chairs--probably because it is fairly small.

Our group enjoyed every dish we were served today, including a moist and flavorful Tandoori chicken, a savory butter chicken, and a tasty Hydrabadi Keema, made with ground beef. With naan and beverages, we ate for far less than $10 a person (at lunch). Service was fine, and we look forward to a return trip to sample even more of the menus offerings.

I have loved this restaurant for years! There new location is awesime. I had kadai choke! Super awaesine. My favorite in the whole dc area. Highly recommend. The owner is a wonderful man so check out his great food.

The food is nice but bland. The curries had very little salt and were generally bland. Also, the food is pricey. I guess they cater to the local non-Indian clients mainly.
