The Delhi Club is my 2nd home! This restaurant is simply magnificent, the best of the best. The food is absolutely wonderful. The buffet is definitely the most generous and the most beautifully prepared Indian food you will find in the Washington, D.C. area. This restaurant is directly across the street from the Clarendon metro stop on the Orange and Silver line. The servers and management are very friendly people. For me, they are like my very own family. I have a favorite dish. The manager has told me that if I want that dish, Palak Paneer, they will prepare it for me. I sometimes call that saag (but saag can be a green that is spinach or other green leafy vegetable). The kind and smiling people make this a great place to eat. This is a 5-star restaurant. For me, it is my favorite restaurant in all of the world. I go to New York City and Philadelphia quite often. So, I eat at a lot of restaurants. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 10 years. If you come to the Delhi Club, you will fall in love. For me, the many flavors, spices, and food combinations make Indian food the best food in all the world. Each time I leave this restaurant, I feel a little sad, because I am leaving my family-friends. But, I know I will always return, again and again. So, my smile comes back. I hope you will come to experience this wonderful restaurant. It is truly a special place. Most sincerely, Bruce ----- The buffet is served from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. During the evening hours, they have a wonderful menu that you can order from.-----

Time to time, I stop by here to enjoy delicious Indian food with reasonable price. They have variety dishes with consistent taste, delicious. If you have had Indian dishes in different places before, you should stop by here for comparison. It will add unique signature to that collection. Thus, stop by and enjoy delicious dishes with reasonable price. Hope, you will agree with me. Con: they used to serve naan with fresh from stove, nice and crisp but now they put it along with dishes. Not sure why. Heat and moisture soak the naan making it soft, which I do not like. Hope, they will keep it same way.

I am reviewing only the lunch buffet** Today I had a very nice lunch at Delhi Club. During lunch there was only one choice, the buffet. The buffet is vast, enough choices for everyone. The butter chicken was very good, a little bland, but the chicken meat was tasty. There was chicken and lamb to choose from, for meats. The lamb dish was good, a little dry. The waiter was always refilling my glass and came quickly when my table needed the bill. The table comes with bread which goes well with the butter chicken and other curries from the buffet dishes.

We were looking forward to eating some good Indian food seeing the reviews on Google. However, we were terribly disappointed. We ordered tandoori chicken which was very dry and tasteless. The dal makhani and chicken curry barely had any flavor to it. The chicken was hard as well. This restaurant may be suited for people who are beginning to explore Indian cuisine. For those of us indians who still have penchant for authentic Indian food, this is a huge disappointment.

Ive been to many Indian restaurants in D.C. and northern Virginia, and this is the best. Dont let the relative lack of atmosphere fool you. The food itself is miraculous. You leave feeling not overly full, despite the generous portions. Make sure you try the bhel puri appetizer (ask for it spicy). The service is gracious and attentive. I cant believe the prices are so low for the quality youre getting here. If you like Indian food, you must give this restaurant a try.

Nice, courteous staff. The food was delicious. I ordered Chicken Vindaloo and was very pleased when it tasted just like it should: spicy. Was surprised it was very flavorful and my tastebuds enjoyed it so much! Im not new to Indian food but not an expert ether but this place is definitely worth a shot for first timers! Will be coming soon to eat here more often. Plus, the environment looks like a typical, autenthic Indian restaurant. Soon to try the buffet!

Great AYCE Indian lunch buffet! Super friendly staff and consistent fresh replenishment. Waiters came around every table offering fresh naan when the buffet station had run out. Water was always refilled. There wasnt a lot of buffet offerings but what they had were all delicious and flavorful. We also ordered a mango lassi that was a meal all in itself, after finishing the buffet me and my boyfriend had trouble finishing it. Another pro - clean bathrooms!

Spinach Pakoda $4 (3/5 NOMs) Crunchies munchies dipping. Its the little batter fried balls of spinach, onion and potatoes. its an interesting texture combination with a mix crunchy and gooshy. Predominately it consist of potatoes with spinach leaves. By it self it tasted a bit bland, but combine it with the spicy dipping sauce and its a whole new flavor. Its all about the dipping. Great way to start your Indian noming adventure.

They must have improved since the 2005 reviews because the food is good. My fiance and i have enjoyed the Saturday morning buffet so much that we travel at least once a month from maryland by metro to eat there (it is right down the street from the Clarendon metro stop). $9 buffet is priced very reasonable. The selection is not as extensive as other places but what they do make, they make very well.

Delhi Club is amazing, but this review is specifically for the lunch buffet. For $10 you get to fill as many plates as you want with delicious, delicious Indian food. They rotate the dishes, but there is always rice and lentils, and they usually have the classics like butter and tandoori chicken. Its all delicious, and I always eat more than I should. Its easily the best lunch deal in Clarendon!

Worst Indian Food I ever had in the States!!.. Its hard to believe that I got numerous small black stones in Dal Makhani!!..Because of late night, I took the dinner as take away to my hotel, otherwise I would have thrown the dal without paying a penny. I went there after reading the positive reviews of google, but really really I had worst food ever in any Indian restaurant.

We use this restaurant experience as the Gold Standard when we try any new indian restaurants in DC. This place has OK ambiance but the quick service and Great Feed more than make up for it... Lets face it - you go to a restaurant to get good food and a place to chat with friends/family. They provide this at its best! We go back whenever in the area! Lassis are GREAT!

This is hands down the best place for a mild Indian lunch. Everything is flavorful without having too much of the authentic spices. The buffet is delicious and the servers are very attentive when refilling water and clearing plates. Everything is clean and organized. It can get a little cramped after noon, so get there early or just go later. LOVE this place!
