I seriously love the idea of Panera bread, but serious attention to detail would be noticed and appreciated. I have been there in the new Barre VT location 3 times. The first time was very good. They were brand new. The second and third time was takeout. I ordered salad and sandwich both times. I have the sandwich for dinner, the salad is next days lunch. The last two salads were ordered with chicken, there wasnt any chicken on it. I got charged for it, but not the benefit of it. I called the manager. I would want to know whats going on in my store, and I want to go back. The deadpan response gave me the impression as to why the salad was wrong not just once. The non-pulsed apology gave me an idea as to why the floors and the seats were covered with food in the takeout wait area. There is really no real engagement. Ill bet she wants to make more money though. Too bad theres no commitment to service there. Good luck to all of you. I hope you realize you have great potential...maybe you will start to care when you are another failed business along rt 302

Giving three stars to the Burlington panera because while their food is good, i am apalled at the service. I had ordered takeout and as I said nothing I listened to two girls, one with a lond dark ponytail, talk about politics and do nothing. Finally, when the ponytail girl realized I had been waiting for a while, she finally got my order together (i was the only take out waiting) and practically threw it at me. Then proceeded to give me an attitude while rolling her eyes after I asked if it was for me since she had called out the wrong name. Completely uncalled for. Thoroughly unimpressed.

I really love Panera but there is one cashier working here who I cannot understand at all due to the fact that he mutters. I cant hear a word he says and I have to ask him to repeat himself over and over again. He doesnt change the volume of his voice when I ask him what he said, but instead repeats it even quieter. I end up feeling super rude when I have to ask him over and over again what he said, and I feel bad but he wont speak up.

good and clean place in down town Burlington. Also they gave me a free month of free Bagel just because I signed up for the email! The first time that you sign up for the Panera bread mailing list they will text you a code that you can get a free cookie with. My wife loves their cheddar broccoli soup which is filled into a bread. To me the food price at this place can be a little bit cheaper but overall it is good.

Getting a bread bowl here is nearly impossible. My girlfriend and I love their bread bowls, yet nearly every time we go there, they are all out. We often stop by several hours before closing time to see if they have them, yet they almost never do.Otherwise the food is always pretty good and the restaurant is nicely designed.

I have no idea why people go here. Its the most "standard" place Ive ever been. The food is perfectly mediocre. Think Grand Union standard cold cuts on Grand Union bread. Its impressively not-exciting. The decor is like an old folks home. Also- overpriced.

Nothing is worse than a corporate giant pretending to be a hipster shop. The sandwiches are bland and quite overpriced, and the layout is confusing and nonsensical. Plus they have the chutzpah to have a "45 minute limit" sign posted. What a welcome!
