If Im being 100% Honest I had some really bad experiences with China Express 2 IN THE PAST. They USED to take 2 hours to deliver food or just completely forget, they USED to have the fakest tasting food you could imagine, they USED to deliver your food to you cold. YES, Im very serious about all that myself and plenty of fellow friends and family agreed....Something must have happened in the past year, year and a half though, whether it was new management, ownership, or a new company with different quality food, but I SWEAR. The place that gave westernized chinese food a horrible name is now my #1 favorite spot in burlington, and I will only exclusively buy my chinese with them and no one else. They are not amazingly 7 star emerald meals, no westernized chinese food restaurant is, if youre looking for more authenticity in your chinese food try Zen Gardens or better yet, A Single Pebble (that is also if youre looking for at least a $60.00 meal between 2) but china express, in my opinion, definitely NOW takes the cake for Burlingtons quick chinese. They look kinda rinky dinky and especially if you compare their appearance to a place like Asian Bistro, but seriously guys, trust me when I say that compared to any other Chinese in Burlington or even the surrounding area, possibly even all of Northern Vermont...China Express is a true David vs Goliath and consistently satisfies my hunger

I placed an order for delivery, was told 45min to 1hr. After 75mins I called the store & was told the driver would be there after 4 other stops he had to make. I asked if my food would still be warm and I was told yes. Well, after 90mins of waiting the food finally came and it was ICE COLD. I called the store to let them know. The OWNER got on the phone and I told him what happened and the guy literally flipped out and called me A LIAR! Then he told me to bag my food back up & the driver would come back to pick it up & the sale would not be charged to my credit card. The owner further stated he did not want my business because I was a liar! Can you believe it? As if I was trying to extort him for some Chicken Fried Rice or something! What a jerk! He is the type of person that would spit in your food if he is having a bad day. No great loss, their food is very low quality anyway. Their crab rangoons are totally hollow, no filling at all. If you want good Chinese food, go to Jin in Winooski, Jins food is great and Jin delivers on time! I cannot believe a business owner would talk to a customer that way, especially over something as small as cold food, jeeze you would think I accused him of shooting my dog! He will not get any more of my hard earned dollars!

A Pride Center group I am a part of often orders from this place of business and we had been regular customers. I attempted to make a personal order at 10:40pm via call in and found very short, passive aggressive, rude, and obfuscating remarks made towards me. I assume this person is the owner. He states that you are asking too many questions about everything. He proceeds to tell me I needed to look online for the menu. I had the online menu up as I called and proceeded to tell him that his online menu was not detailed which is why I was asking the questions. He accused me of taking to long to order and I informed him that we have been on the phone for less that five minutes in fact is was roughly 2mins and 50 seconds. I was astounded at the rudeness and plan to never order from this plan again. If this was an establishment in any other plan than Chittenden County Vermont they would be driven out of business. I will never order her again and will advise my Pride Center group to avoid making large catering orders from this establishment.

I just read all of the reviews, and my opinion stays unchanged... Ive been ordering food from these guys for the last 3 years Ive lived in Burlington. Though I have never been able to get a delivery because I always lived too far away I always thought it was worth it to pick it up. They are always busy, and yet always friendly. Pick ups are always on time if not earlier then expected. If you have ever seen their kitchen its one the cleanest I have ever seen which is 50% of the reason why I go there. The other part is that its DELICIOUS! I dont know what kind of Chinese food you guys have been eating but if you think their food is bad I think you need to readjust your taste buds... Its nice for a college kid because the food is actually very affordable. I usually get the pick 4 thing on the appetizer menu for like $7.50 I get two days worth of delicious food plus rice! Love Love Love this place.. in fact Im headed there now.. so hungry...

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I will never order from this place again. The food was greasy, the service poor. I specifically requested no plastic containers, and that request was completely ignored. We threw away half of the food we ordered. When I called, the owner was very rude and disrespectful, yelled at me, and told me to eat at home. Ive never come across such poor customer service. I will never eat there again, and will advise friends and family to avoid this place too. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID THIS PLACE. There are better places to get Chinese food, and china express 2 is NOT it.

I work at a concierge desk and was asked by a client to recommend a Chinese restaurant with delivery-- Ive eaten at China Express 2 a couple times with coupons and have enjoyed it in the past, so I recommended it to the client without hesitation. The client called China Express 2, and they refused to deliver to the client because they were calling from an international number. When the client assured the restaurant that theyd be waiting outside our establishment for delivery to arrive, China Express 2 still refused to deliver.

This place is horrible with customer service... I ordered a meal and it wasnt what I ordered, when I called them to get it fixed they refused to make it correct. they blamed me for the problem and said if I want it made I would have to pay for a whole new order plus the $5 delivery fee. A couple years ago my girlfriend ordered chicken wings and they were nasty, tasted like old dirty oil and also refused to make it right. On both occasions this was the owner of the business who refused to make things right.

Four score and seven years ago I ordered food from China Express 2. It had been a tough winter. Rations were running short. We were depending on supplies from China Express to make it through the night. After 1 hour 6 minutes, and 38 second our food finally arrived. Although it was very tasty the wait for it was excessive. Morale of the story: Dont order from China Express 2 when you are starving because by the time it arrives you will most likely have already started eating your friend.
