My experience with pane e vino... where to begin.. First off i really hate leaving a bad review of a business, especially if its the food which can be improved or a bad night, but this is different. This place definitely deserves this 1 star review on the owners actions alone. I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make their own decision whether or not this is the kind of place they really want to spend hard earned money. I hope everyone that takes the time to read this review can relate and understand. First the food is mediocre, yet overpriced (up until today i was a cook here). The wait staff is good. The owners, well thats where my opinion of this place is so justifiably low. First off, i was asked to come in as a cook for a couple of shifts as a favor by the owner and chef. Reluctantly i agreed because i was practically begged else they were possibly going to have to shut down temporarily as a couple of cooks had quit, and the other owner (husband to the owner i had interaction with) was rightfully deported the same month. Me being compassionate, and not wanting to see a business go through a temporary shut down because they didnt have enough people to keep the kitchen rolling and one of the owners being banned from the U.S, agreed to help out for a week or two.. huge mistake. The owner had been illegally living here for 20 years on expired visa, and was mainly being deported due to having multiple DUIs, obviously this person values a bottle more than anyone elses lives on the street (not the kind of person im keen to work for anyways). Despite this information, i still gave in to the begging, and the brown-nosing to do them a favor. I sacrificed a lot of my time to help this place stay afloat on top of working another full time job. After i was sure they were back on their feet i tried to put in my 2 weeks notice and was still begged to stay at least a little longer. A few months later they finally hired a new chef and new cooks, and once gillian and stuart no longer needed a favor from me the whole attitude changed from thankful and warm to completely shrill and passive aggressive. Today i was terminated for a bogus reason after having my hours cut back the last few weeks after being promised more hours when i addressed management about the fact that i was offered a much higher paying position elsewhere, which i turned down in response to the promise of more hours. These are the kind of people managing pane e vino, self-serving, abusive people who use others when their backs are against the wall, and then thanks that persons loyalty and compassion with lies and ultimately firing them for a completely made up reason. Spend your money elsewhere, there are plenty of local italian eateries with much more creative and good dishes at much lower prices, ones that respect their employees and dont treat most of the staff like expendable garbage (unless they need a favor from them of course)

Have been a regular customer for about 5 years. On Sunday evening we decided to sit in the bar where they have Happy Hour --every day of the year from 5 to 8pm. We ordered two appetizers from the Happy Hour men and two beers --all 50% . Then ordered two main courses from the regular menu and a $50 bottle of wine. We had a 20% off discount coupon which we gave the server at the end of the meal. She indicated that we probably "couldnt combine offers" implying that the Happy Hour was an offer. After they presented the bill a second time we were charged the regular price for the appetizers and the beers and the 20% was applied to the total bill. We told the server that this was very bad for their image and reputation as the coupon made no mention of the restriction. The owner then came to the table and we expressed our dissatisfaction in a very professional manner after which he shouted at us in a loud voice " GET OUT". We did and will never go back

This place is SLOOOOOOOOW, we waited 15 minutes before we got our menu. That being said, as long as you have time, the food was tasty, but the portions are fairly small especially for the price. This is a good place to go if you want a quiet place to have dinner with a few people. The place is small, so call ahead if you have a large group. Total cost for 6 people was $280 and included only entrees for each person two glasses of wine and one bottle of wine. This is also a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area, it is in a strip mall type area behind the Wal-Greens.

Absolutely fantastic... Again!! Must try the Bolognese! So meaty and just the right herbs and spices; Just like Moms! New desserts.. must try the tarfuto -- tried the lemon and the chocolate. Both were superb and each had a special treat inside. The cioppino was excellent... Again, and it is on the menu now! Try it... You will see what I mean. Our third visit and still wonderous things to discover. It is a true hidden gem. Ask for Mark... He knows everything.

Crab cakes have no crab in it. Should be called bread cakes instead. This was our first time. Our order was incomplete; we ordered chicken with the pasta and they forgot. There was no cheese with the pasta and no butter with the bread.

Love love love! Excellent food, great service, and the personal touch of the owners on the floor and going by every table to make sure everyone is enjoying their meal. Also - the tiramisu is a must!

Been here a few times. Great old school Italian restaurant with great Caesar Salad and a kick a** Chicken Parm. Dont forget to save room for the best Tiramisu. Staff was attentive and friendly.
