I have been going into Red Robin since I was a little kid my parents have always been big fans of burger restaurants and so I have been in quite a lot of them but the Red Robin has always stood out as one of my favorites and so I have been going there for most of my life and recently I went in to the one on Foot Hill and had a burger with my dad and I would have to say that they get 3 and a 1/2 stars almost 4 but theres no way for me to rate it that way. The service was okay not the greatest the place was busy I will give them that but it wasnt a Friday night or even a weekend I think it was a Wednesday or a Thursday and they had places to sit at the bar but the hostess made my dad and I wait for a booth even though there was just the two of us and we straight said that the bar would be ok if thats all that was open and the waitress wasnt extremely helpful when it came down to ordering either so all in all I would have to give the Red Robin on Foot Hill a 3 and a 1/2 stars. I would have to say that almost all the other locations that I have been in have been at least a 4 star rating if not 4 and a 1/2 ,to 5 and like I said Ive been going to Red Robin most my life. I just wasnt all that impressed with this location especially if you just want a place to go watch the game grab a beer and have a quick burger all of that is understood in the bar area and should be understood throughout the rest of the place but that didnt seem to be the case no matter how much we tried to explain it to the girls that helped us right down to the two different waitresses that we had cause are original one decided to go on break half way through are meal it was just a lot of work to go watch a game and grab a beer and a quick burger.

My 85 year old father asked me to take him out to dinner at a place where he could order a martini. Well, the sign visible from Foothill Boulevard says "Gourmet Burgers and Spirits." We have eaten there before, and we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. But this time was different. The waitress asked to see our identification. This created a problem, because my father doesnt drive and he didnt bring his wallet. Still she took my ID with her, I guess to make a copy of it (that was weird, Ive never had a server EVER in my life take my ID away with her, EVER! and I am 54 and a lifelong resident of Utah. After a minute or two she came back and explained that she could not serve my father a martini because she couldnt record his ID. By now my father was visibly upset, and he demanded to talk to the manager (something I have NEVER seen him do! and Ive been around a while) The waitress said she would ask the manager if he could make an exception on the ID thing. When she came back she explained that it is the law in Utah, and that manager would not make an exception. My Dad said "Lets go." I said Ok Dad. So I got him up and his jacket on and cane in hand, his other hand on my shoulder and we walked out. We wasted 20 minutes of our short lives there. Never again. We chose another restaurant and had a fine meal. My Dad had his martini. I will never, ever, visit this restaurant or fly on United Airlines.

We went here a couple months ago and were excited to get our Red Robin on (who doesnt look forward to their spiked, freckled lemonade and bottomless fries?) when we were abruptly stopped in our tracks. First thing, we did get sat pretty quick, but once we were sat- we sat there for 30 minutes before being greeted by a server. I even noticed all the servers just sitting and chatting in the back, so I wasnt sure why the delay. We finally talked to the hostess who sat us and she just said "oh no one has taken your order?" as if we hadnt been staring her down 25 out of the 30 minutes. Then, when he finally took our drink order, they wouldnt accept a temporary ID since my boyfriend lost his and had to go get a new one a few days prior (A FEW DAYS PRIOR, I mean, you can tell by the picture it is clearly him and its a few days old- who is going to be using someone elses ID that they got a few days ago?!) even though I had my temporary ID for several MONTHS before getting my hard ID and many places (including bars with much higher percentage drinks than Red Robin) accepted it just fine. Honestly, our experience sucked because we were looking forward to a nice, Friday evening meal accompanied by good drinks and good food but we had to wait 30 minutes to even order our DRINKS- then had to get turned down on them. Plus the food was just "okay". Wasnt up to par to what it normally tastes like.

Last Saturday evening three of us went to the Foothill Red Robin. A place we go with some frequency. The place is always clean. The staff is always friendly, and efficient. But, this visit we had a problem. Our waiter short changed us by $1.75. When questioned, he said he did not have enough money to give us the correct change. Really? Red Robin handles money all day long and dont have cash on hand to give correct change? If that story is true, shame on Red Robin for making your employee a thief. If that employee has taken it upon himself to short change people for his own gain he needs to work a job where he is not trusted to handle money. Stealing from customers is NOT acceptable, ever. Some of you may say: "whats the big deal? It was only $1.75." True. It was only $1.75. This employee thinks its alright to steal money. That is the issue. 4 stars because all else was as good as ever.

Went in with a group of friends. It was moderately busy at around 830. Left alone for quite a while without even ordering drinks until someone went looking for a waiter. Food was delayed as well. Wedgie burger was nothing like the pictures (supposed to be wrapped, it was just half a head of iceberg lettuce on top and bottom with a toothpick through it). Manager offered a discount for the delay (relayed through the waiter), which was nice but not expected or requested. Got the final bill and noticed was overcharged on one of the items, ie ordered the basic version but charged for upgraded. Balanced out with the discount though, so whatever.

The food is okay. I would recommend the chicken breast. But not the turkey burger, because the texture is weird. The sweet potato fries are really good, just sometimes they get really burnt and you have to wait and wait to get ones that are edible. The wait staff are pretty much always nice and helpful, but since the resturant is busy, they have a lot of tables to cover. The menu has a lot of options and substitutions, which is nice, but is a bit overwhelming after a long day. Also, when it is busy, it is just so noisy and loud.
