This place is a GEM! We came to SLC for Christmas week and were staying close by to this cafe. The four of us came for brunch on Christmas Eve and they were already closing but were sweet enough to make us food - how thoughtful, really. They deserve 5 stars just for that sweet Christmas gesture. We ordered fried chicken waffles and the lazy day cafe breakfast that came with eggs - sausage - hashbrowns and shared a plain waffle that came with homemade jam and syrup. Oh My God! That waffle is too good! They only serve it on weekends so make sure to stop by. We were so pleased that we came for a 2nd time just before leaving SLC. Between the four of us we tried their amazing homemade biscuits and gravy that came with eggs and hashbrowns; their omelette with fried chicken; their eggs Benedict which were YUM and we all shared their lemon pancakes. Now, whats best after their incredible waffles? You got it! The freaking lemon pancakes - SO GOOD! Place is clean and the staff is really friendly and amazing energy. Clean bathrooms. Might wait a bit to get a table if you dont mind the old school bar eating style. If I come back to Salt Lake City, Ill make sure to get my breakfast love from Lazy Day Cafe. Thumbs up to all the hardworking team in the kitchen and on the floor. Keep it up guys!

LOVE this place! Im not usually a pancake person, but their lemon pancakes are UNBELIEVABLE! Im not exaggerating when I say that these are the best pancakes Ive ever had because they really are. They are light and fluffy and have just the perfect amount of lemon flavor; not too heavy and not too light. They offer a buttermilk syrup that goes over the top which just accentuates their perfection. A must-try for any new-comers. I like several things about this restaurant. Its cozy, welcoming and has such a great vibe. Its also very clean and it is evident when you dine there that they have several regular patrons (all of whom Candice - a co-owner/server knows by name). I also love that they serve breakfast ALL DAY. Their breakfast choices are sure to please most everyone and the prices cant be beat; especially when you consider the quality ingredients. This is absolutely one of my favorite breakfast places. If youre looking for something fresh and delicious, look no further!

This is my favorite breakfast place by a long shot. They have the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had - the pork chile verde burrito. This burrito is the size of my forearm and every ingredient in this burrito is so flavorful. Their eggs Benedict is also the best Ive tasted, the hollandaise sauce has such a fantastic flavor to it that Im positive I could eat anything were it covered in that sauce. And dont even get me started about the lemon pancakes, I cant come here without ordering at least 1 lemon pancake with my breakfast. The restaurant itself has a very comfortable homey feeling to it, and you can absolutely tell its a family run business because they make sure youre always taken care of without being too intrusive while youre eating. In the summer they also have covered outdoor seating.

Great hidden gem. The staff is very nice and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. Not a huge dining area, but the atmosphere is very cozy. The menu is not the largest in the world, but everything on it is good. They do not have a ton of options simply for the sake of variety. They know what they are good at only include those items. I have never had a bad experience and it is now the go to place for a weekend breakfast. They make a killer lemon pancake and the sauce that goes with it is a perfect compliment. I am not a big fan of lemon flavored food so I was skeptical. After giving it a try I am a fan for life. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

My partner suggested this place after hearing someone talking about it on X96. We have lived in the area for years, but didnt know the cafe existed. It is very well hidden, tucked away in the strip mall. There is a ton of parking which is a plus. We arrived around 10am on Sunday and waited about 15 min. Even though there were several parties ahead of us, the line moved quickly. The lemon pancakes are as delicious as everyone else has said. Prices are very reasonable. An entree and coffee will cost about $10-12. Im looking forward to eating here again soon. I wish I would have found the cafe sooner!

Id never heard of this place until I started looking for someplace to go for lunch in my area. It had excellent reviews so I went and boy was I impressed. Despite them being out of my first choice, the pulled pork sandwich was probably the best Ive ever had in my life. Service was great if a bit slow (the poor lady was slammed though so I dont blame her). The homemade chips were excellent. Im totally going back if Im ever in that area again. Tough to find! Its at the very back corner of this strip mall and hard to find but well worth the effort!

This is the best place in the valley for breakfast/brunch I have found thus far. Their smoked salmon Eggs Benedict is amazing and I dont typically like Eggs Benedict. Of course, you come for the lemon pancakes and perhaps the scones, but you stay for the delicious coffee, great service, and incredible menu. A must-eat spot in Salt Lake. (Its not the biggest space, so expect to wait a bit on the weekend. Totally worth it, however.)

The food here is amazing. The service was disappointing. When you get there be sure to find out where the pad of paper is. You have to write your name down but theres nothing telling you that. People that go here have no shame cutting you in the line and zero shame not telling you to write your name on the paper. Not a great place for a first timer but maybe thats just the way to stop more people from finding this amazing cafe.

After hearing rave reviews of this place from my co-workers, I was disappointed. The food was for-the-most-part tasty, but the portions were quite modest. For example, the "biscuits and gravy" should be renamed "biscuit and gravy", as my plate contained only one lonely biscuit. Surprisingly my request for a second biscuit cost me a whopping $4.50 a la carte! Quite disappointing :(

Cant believe how lucky I was to find this place so randomly nestled in the back of a not so inviting plaza. Didnt expect much going in but boy was I wrong! The lemon pancakes are to DIE FOR. My girlfriend and I have been there about 5 times now and have been very impressed with each entree weve received. The servers are friendly and laid back.

A rare find! Local, authentic, family-owned and operated, DELICIOUS friendly neighborhood spot. We have been there a hundred times and looking forward to more. Veggie Benedict (add bacon). LEMON PANCAKES better than Penny Anns and thats saying a lot. Shrimp and grits! Not like anyplace else. Love to Team Lazy Day!

This place really needs a host and a bigger place. I really like the breakfast here, but its hard to get a seat. I am willing to wait for their delicious food. However, since there is no host they dont get a proper order of who has walked in. My husband and I have been passed over many times.
