Every once in a while I come across a disreputable restaurant. This is one of those. First of all, they refused to take my 100% valid Utah Happenings coupon. They said they didnt want to be in the book so they wouldnt honor it. Well, then have a sign on your door or something. Seems very fraudulent to me. They also barely give you any rice at all for your food then charge you $5 for another measly bowl of rice - yep, not a typo, $5. Their prices are already higher than competitors. If you order a single entree and want enough rice to go with it expect to be paying $20-$21 just for an entree and rice. On top of it all this is not good Indian food. For those who think its good, you really need to try out some of the other places around here. They blow this place out of the water. All the other places Ive been have much, MUCH better food and meat quality. Both the lamb and chicken at this place were very tough. We obviously will never go back.

Excuse the title of this review :) What got my wife and me in to Aroma was a gift certificate, and we were very happy we went. On this particular Friday evening around 8:00PM, every seat was filled and yet we had very punctual service from a nice young man who took the time to share what he enjoyed the most on the menu because we had no idea what was the best at this restaurant. In more plain terms, he was pleasantly helpful. The lamb chunks were firm, yet soft and juicy, nestled in a nicely spiced cream based sauce resembling tikka masala (Thats our usual dish, but we wanted to be adventurous today). And based on his personal suggestion of our favorite Saag Paneer, we delighted in those wonderful cheese cubes surrounded by the spinach sauce. The flavor of both dishes were wonderful. Now, I do have to mention the jasmine rice and Naan. Theyre wonderful, too! Great experience, thank you Aroma.

Had the lunch buffet, and to be fair it was right before they took it down to prepare for dinner menu items. But... there wasnt much rice left, so that made me sad. The food was pretty good, though they were all fairly similar items. Perhaps I just went on the wrong day, but I love to see some variation, like saag in there. But the food was decent. We were the only ones in there and the server was very friendly, walked us through all of the dishes on the buffet, made us some fresh naan (which was more like pizza crust in my opinion. Good, but not authentic tasting). And then left us to eat. So, it wasnt the best Indian food Ive ever had, but my friend licked her plate clean and this was her first experience with the cuisine, so to me that says a lot! Go, but dont expect to be blown away. Good thing is they are open for lunch, we were going to go to Bombay House but those buggers werent open.

Terrible!!! The worst place i have chosen to dine in my entire life, it is not only because of the food they serve but is also because of the rude and the most terrible customer service, here is an example, this guy who works there was compelling me to write the tip which he actually wanted and didnt take what I offered him which was pretty shocking to me because i have never seen a guy ask me like that, pretty cheap and worst behavior. Very high Pricing, not tastier, low quantity of food for the price they offer & again very rude customer service which i have never experienced in my life till now & never will I guess. I will never visit this place again and I recommend the same of all the people who loves quality food & humble I repeat "Humble" customer service. If you ask me to rate this place I will give 0 out of 10.

I am a bonafide foodie and I can say that I was truly impressed with Aroma tonight! The food was full of fantastic flavor, the decor was warm and inviting and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Sure it was a bit on the pricey side, but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. I would much rather pay a little more for something delicious than less money for something mediocre. The service was just the right pace to truly enjoy the food and hopefully the good company you have at dinner with you. I love that they customize the heat of the dishes to your pallate and the naan was incredible. Aroma just moved to the top of my places to frequent in Draper.

I moved to Utah 15 years ago, and yet Ive never been treated terribly like today. The food was terrible, since the chef used old meet, almost spoiled, and used fried ginger to hide the rancid tasted. Second, the guy who took the order claimed that I order four meals, while I ordered three. Third, he refused to refund me the money for the fourth meal, claiming "the refund machine is slow." Then, he gave me a gift card for the same price of the meal that he claims that I ordered. One other thing, I had to drive long ways to get to that restaurant in order to get lunch. He told me that the lunch is ready at 1130, and I got out the place at 1215.

I have been to many Indian restaurants and none compare to Aroma. Not only is the atmosphere quiet and authentic, but the service cant be beat. The owner was our waiter (on the last visit, weve been many times) he made excellent recommendations, shared information about the food and culture, and served us quickly. The food is always fresh and hot, with the most excellent flavor. Although it seems expensive at first, I always have a box to take home and it usually lasts me two more meals. I have not been to the buffet yet, Im not willing to give up my Chicken Makhani to try anything else! So delicious - its worth it!

This actually used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But over the past couple of months, they have lost my business. First, they raised prices to be one of the most expensive Indian restaurants in the valley. Second, they started to nickle and dime you - for example: we ordered dinner and were served a tiny amount of rice. When we asked for some more rice, they told us no at first then said they were going to charge us like $8 for more rice. Lastly, their service has gone to unhelpful and rude. The food is good, yes, but way over priced and just not worth going to anymore.

My first experience with Indian food. I cant confirm how authentic its supposed to taste. But Ill tell you something. This stuff was GOOD. I went for the lunch buffet and I tried everything they had. A lot of the food looks similar but has different tastes of course. Im pretty well blown away. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding. You can taste how much care went in to preparing these dishes. Also they serve different dishes every day. Ill be looking forward to coming here again and again. If youre hesitant, give it a try. You wont be disappointed!

After reading all the reviews of this place, it made me feel a little iffy, but when we got there, the people were totally friendly, so not to sure what the reviews were all about bad customer service, they were great, they came and ask if everything was good, if there was anything they could do for us, etc...the gentleman was very sweet and so was the hostess, And the food was amazing, we love Indian food, I love the chicken korma and my husband loves the lamb curry, we will totally be going back to this place!!
