I came to visit my daughter from out of town. The only thing good was the food. I am not one to write reviews. However; the service we had tonight was not the best. My daughter ordered my grandsons food 1st thing. We then ordered our drinks a few minutes later the waiter came back with our drinks. We then ordered our food. Our waiter never came back to check on us to see if we wanted another beverage. Our food came out in a timely manner however my daughter had to ask about her sons food. During dinner we were never offered anything else to drink. My daughter had to get up and go ask for a water. We were placed by a window and it was so hot. I understand the heat but the Air Conditioning could have been a little cooler.

RAT INFESTED! Me and some friends came to Los cucos for lunch. We were already not too please with the waiters attitude with us, but we blew that off and purposed to still enjoy our lunch. That all changed when we saw a rat walking (yes, walking) from the kitchen to the bar! We were shocked. We told some of the waiters about the rat and it didnt even seem to phase them. One guy started laughing when we told them. Another waiter overheard our conversation and asked us if we wanted to be moved to a different table (as if that would help). We told him no and left. As gross as a rat infested restaurant is, its more gross that the workers didnt care.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They had no motivation to do their job and very quick to point the finger. The guy who brings out the drinks instantly had a chip on his shoulder, the waiter refused to give us extra salsa, poured us dirty water, and when asked to speak to a manager we were called "putos". The manager arrived at our table already on the defense and quick to blame us. Since it was very clear the issues were not going to be addressed we called corporate. We will never be back!!

Im a fan of Los Cucos in general and typically would give the chain a 4-star rating for food. This particular location, however, is far from my favorite. Ive found them to be slow, not to mention unreliable when it comes to properly preparing any order that has any alteration whatsoever from their menu standard. Despite the fact that I love Mexican food and this location is literally three minutes away, I probably dont eat there more than a couple times a year.

Our server had to be told to wait on us, the person who brings out the chips & salsa got our drinks because I ASKED him to do it. There were at least a dozen waitresses and waiters and we were 1 of 2 tables seated in the restaurant!! When the meal did come the flour tortillas were almost crispy hard, the rice bland & scorched to the hot plate and enough meat to feed a 2 yr old, not an adult. Needless to say, never coming here again nor recommending it.

Poor service: had to ask the waitresses multiple times for a lemon for water. The bus boy was eventually the one who brought it when asked. Bad food: food is bland at best and inedible at worst. The rice, beans, and specialty dishes taste especially bland. The chicken quesadillas use rubberized cheese product (think a shredded block of Kraft singles) and taste terrible. The food was also all cold. Would not recommend to my friends.

This local chain is probably one of Houstons most beloved Mexican restaurants. This particular location has been there since I can remember first moving to The Woodlands in the early 90s. The wait staff remembers you from your previous visits and they are some of the most considerate folks you will ever meet. I love this place and I highly recommend it to anyone who lives in the area or folks who are just passing through.

Honestly one of the worst Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to. I live 2 minutes from this place and got the food home and it was cold and felt like it had come out of the freezer section at Walmart. I even showed up 10 minutes early to ensure my food was hot! The lady that took my payment didnt say one word to me and was just laughing and joking with her co workers. Will not be returning.

My husband and I ate here tonight and it was one of the worst experiences weve ever had. The food was HORRIBLE. Looked like the meat had been warmed up in microwave. Dry, cold, and tasteless. The service is terrible. We both feel sick after eating. We will never be back. If you want good Mexican food, go to El Chapparal down the road.

The chips and salsa are outstanding as appetizers. Guacamole is made fresh at the table for you if you like. The fajitas a Los Cucos are outstanding and it is my favorite dish just make sure to order an extra bowl of Pachuca gravy. I have been eating at Cucos for about 12 years now and it is my favorite Tex-Mex food restaurant.

I go here because I really like the food and I think they have some of the best margaritas anywhere although a bit overpriced. typically the service is average and the food is always very good. Some friends say it is inconsistent but I havent seen that. Most of the time the service is really good, but there have been times...

My experience there was not that good first of my waiter was rude he acted like he didnt want to serve us. It was too hot where we got sat at and the prices are way to high for the food they serve got served more onion than actuall meat and shrimp got serve 3 pieces of chicken, fajita and shrimp wont be going there anymore.

I love this place, the decor is not all hyped up, it doesnt scream "mexico" but the food, oh my, the food!! Its one of the better places to go, and the staff/dining room is bether compaired to others beca use u can actually hear across the table and the wait staff actually come back. Get the El pabalno chicken, delish!!

The fajitas were great and the service was awesome! I also love the green and red salsa. I highly recommend the restaurant. The only downside is the chairs - theyre way too loud when pulled out. The owners really need to look at adding pads to the bottom of the chairs so its not so loud.

The portions are large and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is what youd expect for a Tex Mex place. I honestly cannot think of negative thing for this review. The food comes out quickly, it tastes great, and the chips are fresh. Its a great place overall to eat!

We had lunch here while in the Houston area for a wedding. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was authentic and amazing. Wife had the build-your-own ($9) and I had the tres amigos ($10). Both were more than we could eat. Highly recommend!

Food is good. Best to double check "TO GO" orders before you leave as I have noticed on multiple occasions that one item is always missing it seems. Also, their website isnt always current on prices. Best to call and verify if that is a concern.

Warning to anyone thats going to eat here. The food we received was bland and greasy, both plates were obviously heated in the microwave. I became sick less than an hour after eating. If you decide to ignore this review and eat here, GOOD LUCK!
