A great place to stop and eat when in Old Town Spring. Burgers are tasty, beer is cold, and a warm thick slice of beer bread will make your day! I am fan of their chicken fried chicken, sauerkraut balls, fried zucchini, and pretty much anything fried. Today, however, I wanted something a little lighter. I opted for the chicken salad with fruit. There were big chunks of chicken breast just lightly dressed. It was perfect. Service was excellent! My drink was constantly being refilled and at least three people asked me if everything tasted okay. I didnt get a glimpse of the ghost upstairs, but this is still a great place with lots of nostalgia. Oh and the chocolate cake is divine!

The food was as to be expected. Nothing great or bad, just a hamburger. Everything was kind of pricey, but doesnt look it on the menu. Not very kid friendly prices. Paying $2.00 for a kids drink is ridiculous. Would never come back. The service was friendly, but nothing about this place qualified it for the prices. Everything was at average except their service. That was great, but not enough to make me want to come out paying $12-15 per meal.. Then paying $3.99 for kids meals plus $2.00 drinks. My sisters bill came out to $71 for 5 people. 5 drinks. 3 adult meals. 2 kids meals. 1 appetizer. Is this really a place worth $71 for that much? Not for a young family of 5.

I have liked just about everything I have ordered. Here are my favorites: Chicken Fried Chicken - best in Houston. Mashed Potatoes & Cream Gravy - best in Houston. Carrots - excellent. Green Beans - excellent. Hamburger - very good. Dark Chocolate Cake - fantastic, and I am not a fan of dark chocolate. Fresh Beer Bread - delicious. Squash - not my favorite. I miss it all the time and wish I could get up there more often. Most restaurants mashed potatoes & gravy can not hold a candle to theirs. My husband is bringing me some To Go food from Wunsche Bros. tonight!!!

By the way, it wouldnt let me post a review unless I gave it 1 star, which in my opionion is 1 star to many .... Honestly besides the sauerkraut balls (and they where just okay), the place was awful. Way to long of wait both for a table and getting service. If you want more than one piece of there so-called world famous beer bread per person then you have to pay (and honestly I think free is to expensive). Just all and all not a great experience. Pretty sad since I live in Spring. I give it 5 thumbs down .... way down.

EXPENSIVE, my food was good (I had catfish), my boyfriend got the burger and it was the absolute worst burger he has ever had. I even tried it and had to spit it out. Other than that, catfish was the bomb. Waitress was nice, very packed but thats to be expected in Old Town Spring. We were there back in September 2011.

Love wunsche brothers! The atmosphere is extremely inviting and family oriented and felt as if i was in the 1900s. Lots of families with small children. Lacey provided excellent and friendly service. You gotta try the fried zucchini with ranch!

Char grilled Chicken sammich was mediocre at best. Nothing to write home to mom about. Wifes grilled catfish was large and well seasoned. No fishy flavor and was cooked correctly. Server was personable and attentive.

Very disappointed! Paid $15 for a burger onion rings and a beer. Burger is dry and and comparable to sonic except sonic might be better. Onion rings are soggy. Nothing like I remembered in my child hood.

Great food. Everything we ordered was yummy, especially the squash casserole. Prices are very reasonable too. Its in Old Town Spring so theres lots to do after you " stuff" yourself.

We had a hamburger and onion rings. The hamburger was like a sams pre made patty and dry! The rings were good. Ive also had chicken salad, dont waste your $.

Overpriced, untasteful food. Fries are horrible. Service is average -- adolescents who dont know much about service, but at least arent rude.

Food is always consistently good. Love the chicken sandwich and the way it is marinated. Historic place. Horrendous bathrooms!
