Rough Morning Saved By a Friendly and Contrite Manager. It began with the Orange Juice. I arrived there at 11 to meet a friend for "brunch". The breakfast menu was still up, so I ordered a panini breakfast sandwich, potatoes, and an OJ. The young man that was taking my order acted like I asked for some rare island fruit juice. He got a concerned and confused look on his face and went back into the kitchen without saying a word. About forever later, he came back and said they didnt have any orange juice (YES, it is on the menu!). He had already rung the order, so he said I could just have another soft drink...no thanks, so we had to cancel that transaction and redo the deal. No biggie. We sat down with our number and waited...and waited and WAITED. 25 minutes go by so I went up to the counter to check on our order. My buddies pancakes are sitting there getting cold. The manager comes up, apologizes and said he will bring everything out shortly. Tick, tick, tick, tick... Nearly 15 minutes later I had enough and stormed back up to the counter. Pancakes still there, no sign of my sandwich. I get pretty openly upset and the girl behind the counter starts giving ME attitude and says "oh we told you there was a "bacon hold"...a what? Whatever the heck that is, I wasnt told about any "bacon hold". I asked her if they were slaughtering the pig. I tell her forget the freaking bacon and hand me my buddies pancakes before they are ICE cold, and make my damn sandwich without bacon. (We are 45 minutes in at this point). About the time my friend is done eating, my sandwich shows up- nearly an hour after we ordered, it had his cold bacon on the side (and as a kicker did not have the potatoes I ordered). This was a ZERO star disaster, but the manager delivered my sandwich, and was truly apologetic and admitted they did a horrible job with the order. I didnt have to listen to him drone out a million excuses about why. I didnt ask him to, but he comped the meal, and then brought a $10 gift certificate to the table before we (finally) left. That, and the fact that the food was good and reasonably priced make it a three star day. I think we caught them between the breakfast and lunch shifts- though we could only order what they had on the menu (all breakfast). We would have gladly ordered lunch if it were an option (or even if we had been warned about ordering breakfast). Bottom line is this was my first visit, and would have been my last but for a really good manager who understood its OK to blow an order here and there, but you need to just own the mistake, do what you can to fix it, and move on. We will try it again, and I will post an update.

Corner Bakery Cafe in The Woodlands Houston Texas. Its hard to see off of the road. The parking lot is large and easy to park it. In the afternoon it was not very crowded several tables had some crumbs on them. I read some of the other reviews and I did not smell anything musty in fact it smells like a nice Bakery inside. Whatever it was they must have fixed it because it looks nice and smells nice now. The employees were very helpful and accommodating. You stand up an order at the counter or you can take a menu and read through it and then go to the counter and Order. The food came out hot and quit. They do bring it to your table a nice touch. I had a coupon from the paper. Thats what got me to come in. The pasta with chicken in the large bowl was excellent and had more than I can eat and enough to take home. The meatball panini sandwich doesnt have a lot of meat balls on it but it has a lot of cheese and comes with dipping sauce it was very good. It also came with a pickle and a bag of chips. It really has nice views inside and out. It has outdoor seating and accommodates handicapped. If you have a large appetite or want some to take home go with the large sized pasta bowls. You serve yourself the drinks and there were tea and they were very good. They did come later and wipe all the tables off and clean them up so it may have just been they had a crowd earlier and couldnt get to it when I first walked in. The food was served hot and it was delicious this was my first time at this location and I will come back again. I highly recommend this to anyone. Do look for the paper coupons if you can. On a side note there is a walkway along research Forest that brings you to the lake which is right behind the building. Its a nice walk to look at the water. The area has a lot of nice-looking high-rise buildings around it and along the lake with fountains. You can rent Kayaks and canoes and go paddling on the lake.

Only giving 2 stars bc the food is so good. The customer service though is awful. On 8/18 we ordered at work and requested delivery. We are literally located 0.3 miles from the restaurant and the delivery person got lost.......... how? Idk. And then today at about 3pm, I came in to pick up an online order. Three ppl were standing up front. A woman bagging, a woman on the phone and a man JUST STANDING THERE. They were talking so me, being a polite person and not wanting to interrupt, I stood there and waited to be acknowledged. I wasnt. And then when I asked for my food I got SO much attitude from the woman who was bagging! She had the nerve to ask me if I had already paid????? Of course I paid, I ordered online! Like, is she rude AF to ALL the ppl that come in or just the black ppl? Im putting the dates and times in hopes that employees will be reprimanded bc, again, the food is amazing. I would hate to stop giving this place business bc of awful employees.

Wow... and not in a good way. I have eaten at several corner bakeries and throughly enjoyed the food and service. This was my first time to this location. I recommended it to my sister who has never eaten at a corner bakery before. It was a fisco. It was breakfast time and all coffee pots was out and had to wait 15 mins for more to be brewed. No creamer. Food late and cold. I was so hungry that ate it but my sister would not eat cold eggs so she took hers back. Solution by the staff was to microwave it. Basically unedible. Repeatably asked for butter for the unbuttered cold toast and never got it. The reason i gave 2 stars instead of one was the staff was friendly and pleasant but clearly either not trained well or under staffed. I am hoping i caught this restuarant location on a very bad day but it did not seem that busy....

We recently visited your woodlands location for the first time. Your employee Darian served us. He was by far one of the best employees I have encountered. He went above and beyond and his personality was amazing. I have never left a review in my life, but I will for this guy. If I had an opening in my company I would have gave him an offer he couldnt refuse to join me...and well, if that wasnt sort of an unethical type of thing to do, too....This was the first time meeting him in my life, and I have no connection to him. This guy is going to go far in life, enjoy your time in his presence. By the way, the food was great, but what mattered the most was the charming encounter that we had with such a great human being. We will visit again for that.
