Although normally an excellent experience and great food, we just had one of the worst experiences at union kitchen. We had our potsticker appetizer come out only partially cooked with flour still on half of them. The waiter took them back and apologized and returned the same food back simply thrown back in the frier some more, with the 2 we had tried half eaten. Less than impressive. My wife and I ordered steaks, both were undercooked, and although I could handle mine, my wifes was rare and inedible. It was returned and the same piece again was simply thrown back on the grill and cooked more. However since we had already cut the steak to check doneness in a couple areas, the steak came back cooked correctly in the center section and burned and crunchy on all the outer portions. By this point the kids had had enough and we had to eat what we got and leave. The manager was not notified until I called after leaving and to his credit was kind and apologetic, and genuinely seemed to want to correct the situation which I appreciated. I dont know what has happened but this was such a poor experience on multiple levels, and the only reason I didnt give it a single star was because of our previous experiences. Dont know if its new staff in the kitchen or new wait staff, but hopefully a fluke. However I wanted others to know if you are going anytime soon. I dont know that we will.

Last night was my first visit to the Union Kitchen on Memorial. From the moment we arrived, it was a very relaxing atmosphere that supported the casual to business attire. The waiters were receptive (not pushy) and did a very good job describing special menu items. We tried an appetizer that was a collage of jalapeno cheeseburger sticks, stuffed crab in avacodo, tenderloins and home cut fries. Note: Make sure if you order this that you have a big table as it can be your meal by itself. For dinner I order the "Peggys Scallops" and one of the other guests had the filet. Both were very good with a really nice presentation. The wine selection was very surprising as it was more like what you would expect at a higher $$$$$ restaurant; however the prices were reasonable. Dessert was another collage of great desserts. I would highly recommend The Union Kitchen. I look forward to going back.

Took my fiance here yesterday, enjoyed the food, management were polite, though the waiter and waitresses prejudge the patrons, looks like only a certain group is tht fits their ideal customer is welcomed , we had multiple ppl assisting with our table of two. Neither one returned to our table after their first visit, my lady and I just want to have a great experience for dinner, were not demanding customer but we both understand what great customer service looks like, my sample glasses where dirty, smeared with lipstick, I could go on, in all, we will not be returning, we will not recommend this location to our friends or followers. One star for seating, another for management , one for food but the glasses were dirty (minus)

Arrived at 4:15. 3 other patrons inside. Sat at bar ready to order. Bartender more focused on glassware. Order at 4:20. Spinach dip and burger. Spinach dip takes 18 mins. Bartender returns with dip upon first visit to kitchen. Dip has no flavor, lukewarm as if it sat on the line for a while. Push it forward after a taste and a second chance. Tender back to cleaning glasses does not notice for ten minutes. When he does, I ask him about my burger (its been almost thirty minutes) not ready. I cancel my order pay and leave hungry. No attempt by management to reconcile situation. Very low standard of service. Also: private WiFi not for customers.

A friend and I met up here for lunch. I enjoyed what we had; fried avocado appetizer, grill Margarita pizza, and for dessert Creme Brulee duo. My only complaint was that the cheese was unevenly distributed on the pizza. The dessert could easily be shared. As was the rest of our meal. Service was very prompt (and a little awkward, I think out waiter was new. When asked about a Thai option on the menu Umm? said he did not like "Indian" food and then backpedaled about it.) and the gentlemen at the desk was quick to make sure I parked in a proper space for the restaurant. Would definitely try this place again.

WOW! Above & Beyond Last night, I requested a box for leftovers, but then mistakenly forgot it when we left. We returned as soon as I realized my mistake in the hope that it might still be on the table. Our table had already been cleared, but our server and the hostess graciously looked around for it - no luck. They then told the general manager and before we knew it, TUK prepared an whole new order of the dish for us to take home. We enjoy our meals at TUK, and this story exemplifies the quality and caring they put into their restaurant. THANK YOU, it is great to have you in the neighborhood!

This restaurant is amazing. It is a hidden gem in the Bellaire area of Houston. The service is that of a five-star restaurant at very reasonable prices. The food is Southern comfort and it is amazing and very tasty. The artichoke and spinach dip is very tasty and the Trout is a very good serving for the price. Everything from the hostess, to the servers, to the food is absolutely amazing. The best part is the prices are very reasonable. They also have a huge outdoor sitting area for when the days and evenings are cooler. A must do for locals and for tourists as well.

The staff was very friendly, but our service very slow. They were busy, but it still shouldnt be that slow. The food was good, but my egg dish just wasnt very exciting or full of flavor. But Im going to be honest and say I probably lost my appetite as my daughters and I needed to go to the restroom before we ate. You had to wade through water on the floor. The floor mats were sopping wet, obviously not able to do their job. 2 restrooms for male or females and we waited in line for 10 minutes. This alone will keep me from going back, unfortunetly.

The restaurant is very quaint. Half of the seating is on an outdoor patio while the other half is inside. The food was great! My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza which easily fed both of us. I also ordered the "pillows of love" which tasted amazing! The only problem I had was I noticed the bartender drinking what looked like beer behind the counter. He was serving people while he drank his own beer which I found to be very unprofessional. Other than that this place is great! I will definitely be coming back!

Went there yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got there around 7:30PM (I already had a reservation and reservations are recommended, that place gets packed, even on weekdays) and was promptly seated. They have a good selection of items on the menu and the appetizers came out in about 10 minutes, which I thought was very fast. The soup and the entrees arrived soon after. The food was good, and our Chelsea C who was our server was awesome. Overall great experience!
