Im a new york native and this is probably the worst chinese food ive had in my 10 years in houston. my neighbors swore this would be the best chinese ive ever had and i hate them now. i may even move to live near people who dont lie. no matter, i have major regrets and wish i could get my $20 back but instead ill just throw out the mushy spring rolls, bland fried rice and really horrible general tso chicken. thank goodness we didnt get the crab rangoons-i can only imagine. if youre in the area go to Great Wall on Aldine Westfield. The portions are smaller by comparison but the taste is spot on. i even am a fan of their egg foo yung which comes with an oyster sauce (west coast style) instead of brown gravy (east coast style). i know this wont matter to many but after spending days reading reviews online about how great this place is i figured id be the first to offer a truthful, flavor based one.

I live right in the neighborhood and remember the last time I ate here after reading the reviews. The food was bland now that Im thinking about it and the portions were small for the price. I called up there because the Wok is closed and asked the girl about the portions to see if the meals came in pints or quarts and she could not answer other than you get rice with it. She said just come up and see it only takes 5 minutes to make. After that answer I looked at the reviews and realized why I dont go here. I think Ive been here twice since they opened and was disappointed both times. If you want large portions and good food for the price go to Nee Hao, its a dump but turns out tons of great food. The Wok is the next best thing for fast food. And of course you never go wrong with Happy Family Buffet.

Im only writing this review because I am hoping the owner or the chef will read this and reconstruct their food, this place is less than 0.5 miles away from my house, which is very nice thats why I hope to see some change. We had a to go order last night for the first time we thought we would try this place, the order was placed very easily which was nice, we got the food home and it was hot and looked great-wish it would have tasted right- we ordered the General Tso chicken- it had NO flavor to it, and the chicken was grisly- like tough to chew- in all it was disgusting, the sweet and sour sauce was so watered down that it was pink, for ordering one appetizer and one dinner special and paying $20.00 you would think that the food would be fantastic.. sadly this was not the case at all.

I just moved into the neighborhood and I am trying out all types of resteraunts in the area. So you should see more than one posting of mine if you are searching through the area. First let me start off by saying that the resteraunt looks great. The staff are very nice and the resteraunt is very clean. We ordered take out and the food was not so great. I ordered the pepper steak meal. The fried rice had a blan flavor to it and I hardly had any meat in my plate. I wont be returning back... thats how bad my food was.

This place is basically a joke. Just ate here with my boyfriend and the food is mediocre in comparison to where we usually go. Rice Bowl on Rayford Rd is better in comparison food wise but lacks better customer service. We paid 30$ for small portions and their food is so bland it was literally watered down flavoring. I would give this place zero stars if I could. If you think this place is even decent you must not get out much.

I have lived in this area for close to 30 years. Dont remember when this restaurant opened but we have eaten there for many years. The food is always excellent and the service is great. We have watched their children grow up, and now they help in the restaurant. The best take out anywhere in this area as well. My wifes favorite is the triple delight, but my order changes every visit. We have never had a bad experience.

Have been coming here for years, never fails me. The food has always been tasty and the portions are enough to feed three people when ordering house fried rice + two choices. Seriously recommend it, awesome family business that takes care of you when youre in the restaurant and provides a super close place to enjoy a meal. Perfect for those Friday afternoons when you come home from work and dont want to cook as well.

This restaurant has an excellently comfortable dining atmosphere. With soft lighting and comfortable music, it makes for a pleasant family dining experience. The wait staff is attentive and very polite. Their menu offers a great selection of Chinese favorites. I believe they call their menu offering "New York" style. Their selection of ingredients is fresh and aromatic.

I only eat to go from here since its the closest chinese restaurant to my home. Really wished they had delivery available. The food does need some improvements. Especially the fried rice. It almost seems like they just season their steamed rice to change its color. Their sweat and sour soup is good.

Eating here for years...everything good..they dont do spicy here automatically...you have to ask...I am a regular they have always been nice...and will redo food if asked...and i always ways get to go instead and spice it up myself. They do basic...not fantasy cuisine.

This has been my favorite place to get Chinese food since I was in high school! They are pretty nice people, their daughter is a sweetheart. More/less watched her grow up helping out around there. Boyfriend loves the crab puffs, I am more partial to the fried shrimp.

Food is somewhat mediocre, but I like the people that work there and its very conveniently located. Theyve never gotten an order wrong, they make everything just the exact way I order it. I only wish the food had a little more flavor, and Id eat there more often.

The food was horrible. When I told the waitress, she smiled and walked away. The duck was prep made and you could tell it had been sitting. The rice tasted like a dish rag, and had no season on it. Half of my god was cold. The broccoli wasnt cooked and was cold.

Cheap food, paid for extra shrimp, received 6 salad shrimp. Everything taste like microwaved mush, drenched in soysauce. Im almost sure everything is reheated and served. Also they are rude. I said thank you, hi hello, no response. NEVER GOING BACK.

Excellent food. The General Tso chicken is great. The best Lo Mein I have ever had. Fresh made spring and egg rolls, and excellent egg drop soup. Overall, the best Chinese food I have had. My mom and brother agree.

We get to-go food from here all the time, twice a month or so. I love every dish I have tried here. I think they are a little bit pricey, but it is worth it for good food.
