VERY DISSATISFIED!! THIS WAS MY 3RD TIME ORDERING FROM CAFE EXPRESS ..I ALWAYS GET THE CHIPS AND AVOCADO, ROASTED HALF CHICKEN WITH GARLIC MASHED POTATOES AND ASPARAGUS..I WOULD ORDER ONLINE AND NEVER HAD A ISSUE THE FOOD WAS GREAT AS WELL PORTIONS UNTIL TODAY! I PLACED A TO- GO ORDER FOR PICK UP I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE FOOD BEFORE LEAVING !! MY 2 YEAR OLD SON KIDDIE PORTIONS WRRE BIGGER THAN MINE NOT TO MENTION THE ASPARAGUS WAS THE SIZE OF A ZIP TIE IT WAS VERY SKINNY AND BURNT! THE CHICKEN WAS VERY DRY AND I ONLY GOT A SPOON FULL OF MASHED POTATOES IN A MEDIUM SIZE CONDIMENT CUP THEY NEVER HAVE DONE THAT BEFORE . WHEN I CALLED THE RESTAURANT THEY CHUCKLED AND LAUGHED IT OFF SHOWED NO CONCERN ON FIXING THE ISSUE AND SAID THE SHIPMENT OF ASPARAGUS VARY..HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Have enjoyed every visit here. Really good food and salads are fresh and have great seasoning. Nothing bland! Love the free and thin breadsticks...sometimes I overfill on them before my food arrives. Took a point off for atmosphere. It feels a little like a cafeteria. Nothing that plush or inviting. I would compare it against Newks or Cracker Barrel..they have nothing fancy but atmosphere gives off some style and decor.

Ive always been a big fan of The Express but seems like this location just drops the ball on the food every time Ive ordered from here. There is no finesse, no seasoning. The flavors are just non existent. Its a huge place but always empty. Unfortunately this place does not fall on my list if Im ever eating out. Just go to the location on Memorial or westheimer and Voss. They put care in thier food.

I have to say that I am not at this restaurant often enough where anything stands out for me other than their outdoor sitting. The restaurant if in a good looking part of Eldridge, the views are enjoyable if there weather is enjoyable. The staff has always been good and never had a problem with the food. This is a typical restaurant in the chain, which is actually a compliment.

I love the food at Café express its always great. The reason for only getting two stars is the service at this location is horrible. We walked in there was no one at the counter no one to greet us No one to take our order after five or 10 minutes we finally opened up the kitchen door and requested some service. We can have a very grumpy young lady come out and take our order.

Ive had better mashed potatoes at a hospital. Watery, cold, and not even a full servings worth. But thats probably a good thing. Long wait at 9pm...Nobody was even there... Been to cafe express a lot of times before, this was by far the worst experience.

Not as good as other locations Ive been to, food was alright, bread was a bit stale. To be fair we dined near closing time, but our orders just werent made too carefully, seemed thrown together. On the upside, the staff was super friendly.

Cafe Express offers healthy options at a moderate price$$. For two people it can get up to $35-$40 for the whole meal with drinks. They offer a good selection of teas and coffee. All ingredients used are fresh!

Good salads, but too pricey if you add chicken. Condiments bar has many nice side items. Did take out a couple times and I swear my salad was much smaller than when dining in, so I stopped take out.
