Fantastic sushi! Wide variety, super cheap, lovely calamari, and the service is quick and friendly. I have been about 8 times now to the downtown location and it is so amazing and very beautiful, always a good experience, plus Vegetarian options for NY Vegetarian friends :) and yummy things for not so fishy folks. I shun the haters. Obviously not as fresh as on the coast but pretty good c:

I was a regular at the 23rd location, and had the opportunity to attend the opening party for the downtown store. Food was excellent, atmosphere is awesome. The downtown restaurant is gorgeous. My favorite thing about this place is that non raw fish people can find something they enjoy there. Their signature rolls are so flavorful. Try the Jayhawk!

I lived in Japan for 1 year and ate sushi almost every day there. Ive longed for a place in the midwest that could serve decent sushi. Finally, I found Yokohama in Lawrence! They have a wonderful selection, and while the sushi isnt as fresh as in Nagoya, its the best sushi Ive tasted in Kansas. And the service is excellent!

The sushi was fine but the service was spotty. Perhaps they were under staffed on a weekend night. The hostess who greeted me was pleasant. My waiter not so nice. It seemed like I waited 10 minutes before he came to take my order. It seemed like another 10 minutes before I got my drink.

Heart Attack was amazing (if you like it HOT!). We eat a lot of sushi and this was pricey to be honest. The rolls are VERY large and difficult to eat, I am a one bite sushi person so these were not my type of rolls. On a positive note you get a lot of food and the people are nice.

went for lunch, I dont know what they did to the spicy tuna but Id never had it prepared that way before...not so good. prices are fair or sushi in KS, but the sushi wasnt that good. service was slow, but there was only one waitress...cant hold that against her.

Food was good, but it took a long time, due to them forgetting about my food allergies, (avocado), and then putting my remake after a large group that came in after I did. It took about 30 minutes to get the 2nd half of my order. Will I go back? Mabey.

Delicious sushi roll offerings (especially love the Crunchy Munchy and the Big Mouth) and yummy drinks. I would recommend the Mojitos to drink and adding some Miso soup to your order for a nice starter.

Slow service, rude people, no clue what they are doing. Two horrible experiences there, including a band aid in my food so Im never going back. Wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.
