Urban Bricks Pizza is like a cross between Subway or Chipotle and (Napoletana) pizza. You basically pick each component of your pizza and they make it for you in 6 to 8 minutes for about $7.99 + $2.00 if you add a salad. The crust is quite thin - taking from the Napoletana style of Italy - and cooks quickly. While you can have as many toppings as you want, less is almost always more at 3-4 toppings. Pro-tip: order the pizza and the salad, and youll have enough food to last you all day for $10. I decided to try my favorite type of pizza, which is just a spicy red sauce with mozzarella, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. Overall, the toppings seem fresh and they got my pepperoni crispy. The dough is made fresh there and mine was cooked just right - crispy but not burned. I like the spicy red sauce as it adds the right zip and isnt too sweet. The basic red sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste so Im glad I chose the spicy. The pizza isnt earth-shattering, but its good. In short, Urban Bricks fills a much needed fast-casual pizza niche that San Antonio needed to have filled. While the pizza isnt the best slice of pizza youll have in town, you can have a freshly-made, quickly-baked, pretty good slice of pizza for just $7.99. All in all, its a great value that any pizza lover - like myself - can appreciate.

I have gone here twice in the past two weeks and both times have been lacking in customer service and food quality. The first time, there was ashes on the bottoms of our pizza and the sauce tasted weird. The guy checking me out at the register has a thick accent so that, paired with the fact that they blare the music way louder than they need to, made it so hard to understand him and he quickly got annoyed. Also makes it hard to talk to anyone you are with in there because they play such loud dance music. Then this second time, they had a few extra people on hand who didnt really know how to put the toppings on the pizza. She barely put any cheese on mine. When she passed it down to the next guy, I told him, "that barely looks like any cheese". He gave me this annoyed look and asked if I wanted more cheese. I asked him "will you charge me more?" but again, because the music is so loud and this guy already lacks in customer service, I could barely understand him and he quickly got annoyed with me so I told him to just leave it. Im not going back to this Urban Pizza again. The one on Potranco always has good food and friendly people.

Good ideal quick customized pizza and salad, but they still have to work out the kinks for the gluten free pizza crust. At first I was in a panic at the amount of flower around the area. I have a gluten allergy so for me it is not a choice to eat gluten free. A small amount of gluten and I am very sick. I was pleasantly surprised to see the gluten free pizza crust was individually wrapped and the server changed her gloves and washed her hands. My pizza was hand carried through the process and not placed where it could be contaminated. The pizza was cooked in a community oven with other gluten crusts but was on its own cooking pan and never touched the surface of the oven. The down side the pizza cooks so quick it burned quickly and they made another one to my specifications. It was not cooked as long but the nature of the crust lent it to burning. So outside was a little toasty and the inside was not cooked enough. The chef assured me after letting him know I didnt eat the crust that they will be working on protecting the gluten free pizza. The other regular pizza my friend said was great.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We ordered a pizza for delivery and it took over an hour and a half, and I live in the apartments right behind them. I tried calling the location to see if they forgot my order, but no one answered the phone after a half hour of re-dialing. I left to go to the store when I saw the delivery car drive past my complex. I literally tracked him down in my car after he missed his turn and drove into a random parking lot. He said he got "lost" and I just asked for my pizza right there in the street. THE ICING ON THE CAKE, is that I am writing this post being totally sick from the pizza I ate earlier. I promise you, I am not making this up. I will not be eating here again

I went there yesterday, and it was busy! However everyone was being rude except for these three girls the one doing the toppings other taking orders, and the one at the cash register! When I went up to pay i told the young lady she was doing a good job, cashing people out and throwing pizzas in at the same time! She didnt complain she wasnt being rude, and I honestly think thats the only reason why Ill be going back she explain to me she was sorry for what had happened she made sure if I was fine asked if I needed anything, I fully appreciate it! I asked her for the girls names and she told me Taylor, Cynthia, Kristin thanks to theses wonderful people I will be coming back!

Saw the billboard this week that Urban Bricks delivers so I ordered 2 pizzas at 7:20 on Sat 7/30. The online checkout and email confirmation said it would be delivered at 8:15. We called at 8:40 because the pizzas hadnt yet arrived. We were told that, yes, they had received the order but that they were so busy in store that they hadnt gotten to it yet. No phone call saying theyd be late or that they couldnt deliver tonight. We like dining in, but clearly they are not set up to handle in store business plus delivery. Hopefully they get this worked out but during busy times if you actually want to eat, I would not recommend ordering from them. Now Im just hangry.

Pretty disappointed. Ive been going to urban brick in the RIM since they 1st opened. Pizzas were outstanding and customer service was great. This past weekend I wanted to use a coupon "that THEY mailed us" for my kiddos so did the high five deal (5 pizzas - $25) to only find out the owners no long want to honor it. Why are you mailing out coupons to then not honor it. Horrible business...my great $25 meal turned it over a $50 meal. Pizza dough wasnt cooked all the way and the dessert pizzas...Well lets just say it was like a sloppy joe. Pretty bummed out and I guess what can you expect from small business that tries to grow to quick.

The food is great, however my overall experience was disappointing. It took 40 minutes for me to get through the line/order my food at 2:00 in the afternoon. They were out of mozzarella cheese and I was told it would take a while to grate another block of cheese. Thankfully someone found more mozzarella in the back before I decided on another type of cheese. They only had one oven going at the time. To top it all off my to-go pizza was placed in a wet pizza box. The employee noticed it and got me another box, which was the last box. That box was wet too and I was told "well at least this one is less wet, we dont have anymore".
