My sister and I were two of the first customers when this opened up. The food is great! The atmosphere is lovely. I dont know if she is the owner, or just this locations manager, but the lady with blonde hair who often runs the night shift is lovely. She always recognizes us and tells us its good to see us. It rocks. Whats really, really disappointing given that is that the lunch crew is pretty terrible without her around. I took my mother who was visiting there. We arrived right at 11, which is when they are supposed to open. We werent sure if they were open yet or not and tried the door. The bartender, the cashier, and a waitress were all inside. The door was locked. And instead of one of them giving a signal that itd be 5 more minutes or coming to the door to tell us they were opening later today, they just looked us and then proceeded to ignore us. So my mother and I sat at a table outside the entrance and waited until it was 8 after 11. Not once did any of those three people, who could clearly see we were there for lunch, acknowledge us. I was so upset that my mother was being treated like that. So we left. The lunch crew seriously needs some common courtesy training. Major bummer for an otherwise fantastic restaurant. So skip going there for lunch. Only do dinner when the people working are awesome.

Unique menu items, fresh ingredients, and delicious food keeps us coming back time and time again. The poblano soup is a MUST HAVE! Its creamy texture and subtle flavors are a great compliment to any meal here. Ive had the ultimate, the orchard, the chicken salad and the Mediterranean vegetarian sandwiches. Of which, the first 3 were notable and I would have them again. My husband usually goes for the either the southwestern chicken sandwich or the chicken club - both served on a fluffy, slightly sweet fresh baked bun and both eat-every-last-bite delicious. Their side salad is quite tasty and comes with cranberries and shaved almonds - not your run of the mill cherry tomatoes and cucumber normally found in a typical side salad. The sweet potato fries are served slightly overdone and with a mayo based dipping sauce that compliments the sweetness perfectly. Overall, weve always enjoyed our meal and will continue to eat here for both lunch and dinner.

I had a reservation with my husband for a date night at 7:45pm. We arrived at 7:50 and were seated. We were given menus and wine list. We waited until 8:10. No waiter came to our table. No one brought us water. Other that the host who seated us, no one visited our table. So we left. We had our children with a babysitter until 9:30 and since only ONE table around us (in a full restaurant) had food, the service did not look promising. Maybe this was an "off" night for them, since all the reviews are so fantastic. Nonetheless, this was a big disappointment. Picnikins came highly recommended, but I was not impressed. Hopefully this not-so-glowing review will help draw attention to the service, which clearly needs improvement. Supposedly the food is good, but that means nothing if a server never visits your table!

Food-wise, I am such a creature of habit. When I find something I like, I keep going back for the same thing over and over. When I first started coming to Picnikins, all I would get was the pulled pork sandwich. One day, my daughter went with me and raved about the "Ultimate" sandwich. I decided to try it. OMG! It was sooo good!. Now this is my favorite. Well, today, I ordered the Ultimate and the guy behind the counter asked if I wanted soup. He told me all the different types and one sounded intriguing. The poblano soup. I decided to try it. This soup is a HOME RUN!

Picnikins Patio Cafe is a very nice restaurant, it is however more on the high-end scale of price and setting. Yet, you get what you pay for and the food I have had here is all excellent. I dont frequently eat here, when I do it is worth it. For me, I would recommend this place is appropriate for a fancy dinner date, special occasion, or when dressed up with well to do company. Or if you just want really good food for lunch and it is within your budget. They also seem to have a good wine selection, but I am not a wine connoisseur so I cant really comment on that.

First time here. Lunch around 1:30ish on a Monday, so after lunch rush & very calmed & relaxing. Staff was super friendly & attentive. I had the black cherry tarragon soda--Im strictly a red label Coke girl, so this was new--fantastic! Also had the tomato soup, Vermont salad, orchard sandwich, homemade potato chips & sweet potato fries (umm. I was hungry ok, but I somewhat shared). All of it tasted very fresh & was beautifully presented. Id eat here again for sure.

This place was my top favorite until the one day I decided to try the Tomato Basil soup with my sandwich. It tasted like straight up Ragu and it wasnt pleasant at all. Later in the evening I had a moderate stomach ache. This didnt ruin the place for me but it surely disappointed me. Please try to improve that soup. Its just not good. The Poblano on the other hand, mmmmm.

Perfect place for lunch. Phenomenal soups and sandwiches, with unique flavors and fresh ingredients. Good tea and craft soda from the fountain. Portions are perfect, and prices are good. Outdoor seating is an option too. Its a counter service restaurant, but wait staff will come around to check on your experience and make sure you have everything you need.

More of an upscale feel than some Nigerian restaurants you may visit, although definitely not fine dining. Other restaurants have more of a cramped feel which Picnikins Patio Cafe doesnt. Delicious food. I didnt have any special requests but the level of service and the questions from my server indicated they would be well met. Unreservedly recommended.

Love this hidden gem! They have killer sandwiches, my favorite being the Sunrise - egg salad with bacon! But by far the best thing ever is their Roasted Poblano Soup. I have it all year, even when the temperatures outside are soaring. It is JUST THAT GOOD!

I came by in the afternoon just to try this monster out. It was absolutely delicious and I wish I could have taken it home with me, but as I could not, the wait staff was more than kind enough to cut it up and devour it themselves!
