Having breakfast at Olmos Pharmacy before I head to church. The Rx Grande Breakfast Taco, When my taco came it was a hand made taco had burn marks all over it they must have fried it cuz it was to crunchy but thick and doughy like, as if they dont know how to make tortillas or something or just threw it together THAT LOOKED LIKE I TOOK FLOUR AND WATER AND TRIED TO MAKE FLAT BREAD BUT FRY IT INTO A TACO, it was burned, the potatos I ordered to go inside did not even come with the taco so I waited, the house made salsa did not come with the taco so I waited for that too and also the potatos was an assortment of different potatos some looked like real potato and others looked like bag fries it was gross and gave them a funny taste like freezer burned and a strip of bacon was a dollar and it had no taste at all, it was hard and dry and thats hard to do with thick cut bacon , just a very very bad taco for $299 plus bacon $400 plus tax Im not eating there again. Now update after weeks I go to look at my bank statement and its showing $6.31 I was billed for that taco. My receipt shows different.

I hate to give this place a bad review but here I go. My Mom has been on the hunt for a real malt for as long as I can remember. A friend of mine told us about this place and we went to try it out. When we got there, there was a young blond haired guy there who really took his time and made us a real malt and made my Mom real happy..Fast forward to today one of my Moms birthday wishes was to go back the Malt Place and have a vanilla malt. Well we did and it was really, really bad. I dont know what happened but it was syrupy and extremely sweet. So sweet it made the inside of our necks burn. What happened? We were going to stay and listen to the excellent guys plays that were playing music. They were awesome, but as soon as we got our malts, we took few sips and left. Sorry to say I wont be going back. Well our mission for a real malt continues I guess. :(

Went to olmos pharmacy on a Wednesday afternoon. The decor was cute and in the style of a typical vintage diner. They have a basic breakfast menu, with options for everyone, and they serve breakfast only from 10a-3p. The portion sizes are HUGE. I had a chocolate chip pancake that was as big as my face, and my friend had the Davy Crockett (biscuits and gravy with sausage bits) and it was enough to feed maybe two or three really hungry people. The food was basic, and the service friendly but absent, however the malts are to die for. They also have a lot of community events (jazz, karaoke, etc) at night and an excellent beer selection with FULL cocktail bar. Go on a busier day to get better food.

I lovvvve this place❣️I love vintage things since a young age and when I first walked in I fell in love with the beauty of how vintage it was, it had such a lovely feeling. When I ordered a milkshake I expected it to be given somewhat portioned to how a typical restaurant would, but it was better, they serve it in a lovely glass similar to what was used in the 50s and top with wiped cream and a cheery, and at first I didnt know what this tin thing that came with it was but found out they serve it exactly how it was in the 50s and gives you everything even the rest of the milkshake that couldnt fit in the glass inside the tin(sorry if it doesnt make sense) but I love this place❣️❣️

Went here for my birthday. Wasnt even busy and Im a pretty understanding (have spent years working in restaurants) but it was a disaster. So many things went wrong. Too much to tell the whole story on here. To keep it short, my parties food sucked, the egg on my salad was rotten, everything I wanted, they were out of (like 3 diff. menu items.), food took forever to get, band didnt even play (one of the main reasons I went there for my birthday), was charged 2 (over $250.00) had to wait about a week to get my money back to my acct., The only good thing about this place was server/bar tender how did his best to please us. WILL NOT GO BACK!

Talk about a let down .... The shake machines we down bummer number 1. We asked our server three times for dressing for the salad and as I write this in the restaurant it has yet to arrive. When ordering lunch my mom asked for sliced lemons to go with her lunch and after lunch was delivered then she was told they didnt have lemons either. The server seemed more interested in helping a "big top" that sat only two more than our group. Little local places like this tend to have a personality but this experience was more about being left to fend for ourselves.

I rode down to olmos pharmacy thinking it looked like a unique and fun little place. I went on 7/28/17. The place feels dingy and unkempt. I was there for around 20 minutes for a beer and I saw no less than three different small COCKROACHES infesting the bar area. The bathroom isnt kept up, I would not trust eating food there. Seems like there is a lot of not giving a damn going on by the staff. Skip this place, maybe someone who cares will take it over one day. The beer selection is alright I guess but I mean, what has been crawling in the glasses at night?

First time to this place last Saturday. Overall it was a nice place and the food was good. The only negative to me was that there was live music that was so loud that we were joking that we needed to text in our order to the waiter. He came over to get our order when there was a break in the music. But my negative may be a positive to others.

I visit the Bharmacy every Tuesday night for open mic night. If you let down your guard and just enjoy the atmosphere and get to know the other patrons youll fall in love with it. The food is good and the service has always been pleasant. The Whipples run a great open mic and make everybody feel welcome.

Today was my first visit. Its around 2:30 on a Monday. This place is very nostalgic. Its the only pharmacy that doesnt have pills but they make some good burgers and fries. It would be a cool place for a first date or a good place for burgers, fries and a milkshake after a day at Brackenridge Park.

Personally I think this place is a little overrated, the milkshakes are really good but the burger my boyfriend got tasted a little weird. Service is friendly, but the place seems kind of oddly empty/under construction inside. I havent tried the pancakes yet but they look really tasty.

Maybe it was an off day, but took 30 minutes for the wait staff to take our order and after 45 minutes more waiting, we watched other people who came after us get their food and finish. Ended up leaving before our order ever came out. Not a good experience.
