I do like this restaurant, but its better for lunch or dinner than breakfast. I just had the Tasso Shrimp & Grits. Tasty, but nothing to write home about. Main complaints? First off, the coffee is weak and watery, bad start for breakfast. Next, my $14 entree had exactly 4 small (30-32s, approximately) shrimp. Add in 2 (nicely) poached eggs, a half cup of grits, bread, and hollandaise, and you have a small breakfast that should be priced around $8 or $9. Still hungry, and bill + tip is $23 (for breakfast? Really?). Service was perfunctory, and no coffee refill has yet been offered, but its so weak I really dont want anymore. Myself and one deuce are the only customers. Hope this helps those reading decide. I have been here for both lunch and dinner, and was happy with both of those meals.

Ate dinner here a couple of weeks ago and it was terrific. Sat outside and it was nice to be in the evening atmosphere of Magazine St. Went back on a Sunday morning for Brunch, and it was even better!! The back seating area is beautiful and bright with the natural light from the bar and the windows, but the openness and brick look creates a great atmosphere. The service was great, Olivia was very on top of things and great at suggesting items and offering her thoughts. The biscuits and jam side were possibly the best biscuits and jam my girlfriend and I have ever had! Had the Brisket Hash Humpty Dumpty (omelet) and it was amazing. A huge portion, had enough for breakfast the next day. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone!

The service was slow. The kitchen took forever. It was full but not busy- just steady. The prices are too high for a dinner and the food was ok. I had the mandarin turkey salad. It looked pretty but I hate when they skimping the lettuce. The dressing is homemade and was good. That was best part of the salad. Otherwise it was bland. Hubby had a turkey sandwich which was large. The sandwich was dry until he out the cranberry sauce in the sandwich. The potatoes strings did not go with the meal and did not compliment it.

Come hungry! We came in to the Diner when it first opened and have been there almost every other week since. the service is fast and great, we even know the manager by name already. Breakfast; the best is the lump crab & eggs sardou but the other choices are very good too, and also is comparable to the ruby slipper if not better. I have had most of the sandwiches and they are very good and large portioned. The dinner choices are very good especially the lamb. did i mention they have wine on tap

This is a spot that is owned by the same folks as the Rum House next door. And it shows as they both have the exact same attributes. Vibrant atmosphere, great cocktails, and average food. Do come here if you want to have a good time with friends and drink plentiful excellent cocktails. Do not come here expecting great cuisine. Protip, order the Bloody Mary one of the best Ive had in my life. They purée their own vegetables as the bloody mix.

We were served by the wonderful Olivia who was very attentive. Ordered drinks which were delivered promptly and ordered the cheese platter which was delicious. All the food arrived quickly and was in generous portions. This is a casual place, everyone is down to earth and friendly, not stuffy. I would definitely bring your apetite as tje portions are very large, and save room for the yummy deserts. A must if youre in the Garden District.

The beet pizza is officially one of my favorite foods of all time! We wandered into this restaurant as tourists in New Orleans and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From the appetizers to the main dishes, nothing disappointed. The service was also excellent (our server was Rebecca.) This is a gem of a place and an easy stop on Magazine Street.

We stumbled up this place. So glad we did. We sat outside and enjoyed margaritas and hurricanes. The duck waffles are awesome. The pimento cheese was also very tasty. We also had sausage pizza. Everyone in the group was quite happy. Make sure you find out about the drink specials. Great service. Friendly staff.

Hidden Jem of uptown restaurants, large seating area and bar in back, almost never a wait for lunch and dinner. Great happy hour and not to miss duck waffles!! croque monsieur sandwich also fantastic. Weve had about half of their menu and everything so far has been amazing. Little red dogs dont hurt either.

So this restaurant is nice. Great customer service. Food was tasty.. Issue- There was eggshells in my eggs and I told the waitress- Ask me did she take anything off of the bill? Ask me what her resolve was.. Did you want more eggs? Now why would I want more eggs if Im not eating the ones I have honey?!

Place was almost empty on St. Patricks Day (a good thing). We wandered through the small dining room to the back alley bar, a really cool setting. Two happy hour margaritas, a green PBR and a shrimp and blue cheese bar pizza were all good. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely go back

The Green Eggs & Ham is one of the most amazing breakfasts Ive ever had & Ive lived in Chicago! The subtle sweetness of brown sugar on the ham, fluffiness of the biscuit combined with the presentation makes it an amazing meal & very affordable. A must do in New Orleans!

Originally tried to seat me at a 1 top instead of letting me sit at the bar, but it was a slow night so I understand they were just trying to get servers tables. The cocktail was good, solid beer selection and I enjoyed the pizza. Very nice and interesting bartender.

Over all, I really liked this place and would definetly come back. Friendly staff, and a very interesting menu with all kinds of dishes. I cant remember the name specifically, but the vegetarian sandwich was delicious. The only minus was the long wait for the food.

One of the best breakfasts Ive had in a very long time! Prime Rib Benedict was amazing, as was the Crab Benedict (so good that you wont want to share!) Shrimp and Crab Omelette was cheesy and delicious. Grits. Bloody Marys. Will be back soon.

Best place for Breakfast. Went twice in a 1 week stay in NO LA. With the food in NO that says a lot. The breakfast milkshakes w/ alcohol. Are to die for. My wife dislikes eggs. But absolutely LOVED the seafood Benedict.

The back ally bar is one of the coolest locations Ive been to in this city. The food was delicious (elephant ear garlic platter, beet salad, and roasted turkey club) and the music helped match the mood perfectly.
