What a gem you have downtown Tulsa. We came to town to see Matilda at the Arts Center. We got to the Dilly Diner at 11:50 on a busy Sunday morning and we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. I didnt think that was bad for how delicious everything smelled. We waited a few minutes when they told us they had patio seating available. Bonus! Out we headed and how glad we were that we did. Fun set up outside. Our girls are 12 so they were a little to old for the playhouses. At first. As soon as the other mom went to check them out, off they went too. Did I mention how good everything smelled? Its because it was phenomenal. My daughter got a cinnamon roll and sausage. Best sausage of her life. She said it tasted like a flattened meatball that was fried. It is a huge compliment coming from her. She loves meatballs. Speaking of huge, check out the picture of the roll she got. It was delicious and we took most of it home. My friend had the breakfast tacos and kept raving over them. I had a bite of the potatoes and it melted in my mouth. Her daughter had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Had she been walking in a dark alley with that sandwich I would have stolen it and left her purse. When she broke open the yolk on her egg we all gasped. She had a side of fruit that was spot on. Every bite was delicious. Our server was good. She had no problem with me changing up my order because of my diet restrictions. She never rolled her eyes or huffed like I sometimes get. She went out of her way to get me some more lettuce for my burger and was upfront with what would be extra. All four of us left very full for less than $55. Thanks for an awesome brunch Dilly Diner!

Horrible. I wont go back. The food is bad, service is worst. Were sat within 30 seconds, took 10 mins for server to show. Milkshake cup covered with melted whip cream, cause I looked at my shake sat there for 5 mins. Didnt care to clean the cup before serving, they cheap with the ice cream, so its a $4.25 milkdrink, room temperature bendable celery sticks, with deep fried dry no taste unless there is sauce. (Sauce on side). Return one time to check almost at the end, "is everything ok?" She asked... couldnt notice our water n tea glass are empty. Had to ask for refill ice tea, pour with a jug, but all the ice melted. Filled up with no ice at all. Didnt brother with my empty water at all. Talked with manager, offered free meal. Put 15 bucks down, left in a hurry. Hostess at door is the only good experience. Perhaps I am just expecting too much from a good looking restaurant. I do have 15 years of family restaurant business. If this is my restaurant, I would hire a few "pros" to show those young ones how to full hands in full hands out, cold food cold, and hot food hot. Some of these servers dont even know how to handle a broom, or clean the table right. I hope yall would improve, cause yall invested a ton of money into it. Your lifestyle is in your workers hands. Get your team strong!

Food is okay for lunch - their brunch is a bit better. Id recommend Chimera a few blocks away for better quality at about the same price for sandwiches. Dilly Deli also plays their music way too loud. This was one of the main reasons my family stopped going for brunch. Even though the food was good, it was way too loud for my grandmother to hear and kind of rough to have a conversation even if your hearing is fine. If youre a penny-pincher, make sure your sandwich isnt cheaper to make on the build-a-sandwich part of the menu. For some reason you can build some of their "named" sandwiches for less than they charge if you order it by name. I might have rated this 3 stars but my most recent experience was not great. The waiter rounded down my change by about 60 cents. I understand that it takes time to count out the coins and the money was probably going to go to the tip anyway, but auto-rounding the bill up seems very rude. If this is an accepted policy of the restaurant then they should just make everything a round dollar including tax. If it isnt their policy, I dont know why they would let their waitstaff think it was an okay thing to do.

Visiting from SLC Im always wanting to go where the locals go and Im lucky to have friends who can drag me away from the hot dog food truck across the street and into the waiting arms of Dilly Diners comfortable fare. We started out with a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. Removing the outer, slightly burned parts of the cinnamon roll revealed a tender bun slathered in rich and tangy cream cheese frosting. Next, we split a generous portion of the chicken and waffles, the star being the Sriracha honey you absolutely must drizzle over the top. The chicken was moist inside and held its crunch perfectly. The waffles were a little tough, perhaps a flour/batter tweak would help. The coffee was delicious and our waiter was attentive and not over or under serving. I loved the letter board signage, subway tiles and soda shop fixtures. My only regret was not ordering the biscuits and gravy! Therell definitely be a next time for that.

This place was perfect as soon as we walked in, sat down, and ordered. After that not so much. The hostess and the girl that puts your name on the waiting list are super sweet. Our server was nice until she ditched us. Literally! The coffee was great but I only had one cup because we had no server to attend to us. We wanted to order mimosas but once again couldnt because we had no server. Everyone else, including other servers helped us out with small things like syrup and straws. Even ringing us out. I just dont get it. It was bad and ruined what could have been a perfect breakfast. I couldnt even eat my pancakes until 5 minutes later when we flagged someone down for syrup. Im very understanding in most cases because Ive worked in customer service for so long, but this one was unacceptable. Alexis was her name I think. Shes brought their 5 stars down to a 2. The food is great by the way.

DILLYS IS A HIP LITTLE JOINT WITH A SORTA 80S THROWBACK FEEL AS FAR AS THE FURNITURE AND DISHES GO AND A YOUNGER CROWD FEEL AS FAR AS THE STAFF GO WITH THE TATTOOS AND COLORED HAIR. THEY HAVE A FULL SERVICE BAR AND BAKERY IN THE RESTAURANT. THE FOOD AND STAFF WERE GREAT, BUT THERE ARE TWO THINGS IN PARTICULAR THAT STAND OUT TO MYSELF. 2ND WAS BEING SERVED WHAT I COULD ONLY IMAGINE TO BE THEE MOST PERFECT OVER MEDIUM EGG...EVER!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE #1 THING ABOUT THIS PLACE, I SUGGEST AT THE VERY LEAST GOING DOWN TO DILLY DINER FOR THEIR BISCUITS. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE MAKING THEM AND WITH WHAT INGREDIENTS....BUT HOLY COW!! SO WORTH $2 A PIECE IF YOU BUY THEM SEPARATELY. IT SEEMS TO STAY VERY, VERY BUSY.

We ate at Dilly Deli to enjoy the exciting new atmosphere of downtown Tulsa. I had the meatball sub which was fantastic, with the style being a bit more modern and California cuisine-like than say a traditional New York meatball sub. Others in our party had soup (decent, but not fantastic) and a vegetarian sandwich (decent, but against not fantastic). The atmosphere was very trendy, urban and hip for Tulsa. Even cooler the area in which it resides is becoming a hip, urban oasis for Tulsa. Thats a welcome change to what has historically been a struggling, sad downtown. So go Tulsa, and go Dilly Deli! Hopefully it will only improve with age.
