This place is amazing! So many things go into having the perfect coffee shop: atmosphere, staff, seating, and coffee. This place has all their bases covered. The staff is very friendly and hard working. They keep this place very clean. The staff also work extremely hard to take good care of you. I often order my drinks lactose free. Occasionally, I forget to say that and the staff member making my drink will ALWAYS remember for me. Along with coffee, they also serve an assortment a little treats. If the food here isnt substantial theres a Bakery Lorraine next door. The atmosphere is so relaxing and casual. Theres a retro style here created by the music, furniture and younger hipster staff members. Theres seating for around 50 people inside and a few outside seats. The seating arrangements cater to small groups (3-5 people), pairs, and individuals. There are also plenty of outlets to go around! The only drawbacks here are limited parking and a one person bathroom. But if you can deal with that I would highly recommend coming here!

Awesome across the board. Facility is modern, spacious, and super clean. Staff are prompt, cool, and attentive. They offer free wi-fi. I ordered a cappuccino which was beautifully and artfully presented. The preparation here is no-nonsense with a focus on the product. The espresso in my cappuccino was stellar: super smooth, silky, and bright. No nasty flavors needed. I happened to be sitting near the Director of General Operations and the Store Manager, both of whom asked me about my experience, were personable, and extended a hearty handshake. My hat goes off to locally-owned small businesses that do things right. We ALL need to drive the mega-average coffee shops and support Local Coffee.

Beautiful facility and personable staff but Im not crazy about their coffee. Their espresso isnt strength brewed but instead they seem to put an emphasis on flavor brewing. So my cappuccino was very bitter and nutty. I did notice their barista packing the freshly ground espresso bean with what looked to be at least 60 plus pounds of force. He was a big guy putting a lot of weight onto the espresso. If youre a fan of coffee with a lot of complex flavors then this place if for you. If you like your less complicated morning roast and standard latte menu at Starbucks then you best skip Local Coffee.

Great coffee, great atmosphere, great baristas. Someone on here said these guys are too pretentious about their coffee. Umm yeah. Never seen that type of attitude from any of their employees and Ive been to all of their locations. Id say that their baristas are proud and knowledgeable about their coffee but absolutely not pretentious. Silly remark. Anyway, if youre a coffee nut or just need a great place to unwind with a caffeinated beverage and a great pastry, Id recommend Local. Great stuff, guys!

The term Mocha when used to describe coffee with chocolate is an American invention. We started that back in the late 1800s. I dont understand why a coffee shop that is espousing "local" coffee refuses to use an American term. Its not a chocolate latte this isnt Italy. It isnt a chocolate café au lait this isnt france. This is Texas and America. Stop correcting me when I order a Mocha.

The ambiance is very open, airy, modern, and comfortable. Its apparently quite popular and though I only had a chi-tea with a raspberry cheese danish as both were good, and I overheard no gumblings from anyone else about their order, I infer that most people are pleased with the beverages and pastries served. I look forward to visiting it again. ]

High-end coffee shop with high-end equipment and staff. My wife and I have our go-to shops when traveling around Texas for family trips and bicycle races. In San Antonio, this is the place. Several locations, actually, but not a "chain" in any other sense of the word. Whoever owns this place has it all figured out.

Nice little local coffee joint. Vegan and GF snack options. Has WiFi and ample plug outlets for electronics. Roomy but can get a little loud if busy. Has some home-made goodies (muffins, pastries, etc.) Parking in front and back. Menu only includes coffee but they have a small cooler with water, soda, and juice.

This is a hip study location with quality coffee and tea options. Their food selection comes from a nearby bakery. Staff is cheerful and works hard to serve and maintain the location. Great atmosphere combined with its close proximity to local schools make it a hot spot for collegiates.

Awesome real coffee.... I had the macchiato yall wow that little shot is smooth by itself the way they make it. Dont add sugar it will be bitter if you do. Also their cold brew is great and their regular house coffe...a minimal pro e and quality. I would recommend this any day!!!

This was my first time at this location. I fell in love with the one in the Pearl District then found out this one was closer to me. Lots of seating room, great friendly staff and good green tea. Ill be going back for more study sessions. Really prominent college crowd.

When local coffee first started they were like this, warm, quiet, great for a quick stop or visit, and the atmosphere being like this is what made me a loyal customer. Its also what keeps me coming back to this location.

I dont care for the taste of their coffee. Its too light for me -- not enough dark robust flavor and they dont have a large size -- just tiny, overpriced, brown water that tastes bad. If you like it, great. More for you.

Love local coffee but would really love it more if they were open later. Sometimes forced to go to Starbucks since they are opened late. And closing at 6 on Sundays is insane. Definitely need to stay open to at least 10.

The place is very clean, marbled out with brass fictures and thick wooden tables. Dim lighting and wifi is buzzing. Student friendly environment. Staff is very friendly. Coffee and pastries are amazing. Go for a latte!

The staff is friendly, coffee and food excellent. A great spot to stop in or study in the medical center. The only thing that would make it better is improving the wifi connection which is always slow.

Excellent local (ha) coffee shop within walking distance of the medical center. Theyre priced similarly to Starbucks but are sooo much better. Try their lattes are iced coffee while you are there.

Staff was pleasant & helpful. The Nicaraguan coffee I had was bitter but I was just trying something new. The place was spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of merchandise for sale, too.

First was a blast. Love the setup and the atmosphere. A good place to sit and chat or study. It can get a little loud when alot of people are bunched in but overall it was a great experience.

Went on a Friday which is apparently the day they restock. Only had one choice of coffee. Place seemed ok. Havent tried the other location at the Pearl but that one looked a lot more popular

I love this place a lot, its such a cute spot BUT most people come here to study or read etc. and the music is ALWAYS loud. And the staff is not friendly when you ask them to turn it down.
