I waited on hold for 11 minutes so I decided to call back after being on hold for another 3 minutes my order was taken they got my name wrong but thats okay Im used to it when I arrived I watched them give my order to someone else finally the gentleman who gave my food away to someone else then ask the cashier if someone had ordered that food and they said my name the incorrect name I let them know that was mine but after so many failed attempts I let them know that I would go somewhere else to eat I have never had so many problems with this establishment before and I am highly disappointed that I had not one not two but three different occurrences within one day its almost like they dont care about being organized or they dont care about good customer service or you would take the time to make sure no one Waits on hold for that duration of time. And that when someone places an order you actually wait for them to get it instead of giving it away in front of them while theyre in line waiting to pay

Ive always been turned off by the clutter I see behind the register, but recently the tiny atmosphere looked cheerful and made over. I cant stand the unfriendly food servers, but I tolerate the attitudes because for the most part the food is good. However, as of lately the food has quality has been on the decline. Examples, the rice was covered in a gooey substance and tasted like it had been sitting next to trash. The curry goat was nothing but fatty parts! The cabbage was good, but the jerk chicken was very tasteless. I thought they use the same gravy from the goat curry on the jerk chicken. I hope not! I normally like this place so I hope they step up their services soon.

My wife and I have been coming to this food heaven for the last 2 years. It is the proverbial whole in the wall place that perfectly embodies the food they serve. The portions are copious and the food its self is without a doubt the best Jamaica food I have ever had. The service has always been friendly and quite polite each time I have been there. I recoment the jerk chicken, plantains, yams, rice and peas, and the curry shrimp. I have yet to fully expore their entire menu. October 1st they will be moving to a new and larger location on further east on Walzem rd. Highly recommend this foodies paradise!

The food is typically good. Today as always I asked for gravy on my rice and oxtails, I didnt check it before leaving, because they typically get it right. I called back to inquire if she forgot, she argued with me that she put gravy on the rice. It was clear, she had not. I was instructed to stir it and warm it up... I drove 21 miles home , 74 degrees, it didnt need to be warm. It is BAD customer service to ARGUE with your customers, especially those that patronize your business regularly. I was very disappointed with her attitude. The owner has always served me well.

Our food was amazing! We are in San Antonio because my husband was badly burnt on good Friday and he was shipped to BAMC to their burn unit. We came back for follow up and was just tired of everyday food. Originally from New York, my husband had been craving good Jamaican food since he moved south in 2006. I am pleased to say that this place put a emails on his face. ☺ This is a place we will return to in the future!!!

I heard the restaurant was a 5. But, I am not happy because people at church told me how good the food is. Therefore, I went scurrying over after church service and was told they were closed on Sundays. I totally respect the fact that they are closed on Sundays, but my mouth was watering for some of those authentic ox ptails.

I ate there when I was doing my tour in San Antonio and did a little video of how they serve their food. The rice and beans were kind of hard but the beef pattie with coco bread was on point. The jerk chicken was not hot enough for me but it was tasty. Check out the video of Little Jamaica Foods on my website.

Place is small, but Im okay. I enjoyed the mango chicken and plantains, and veggies. The rice and peas was different from what Im used to at the Caribbean restaurants in the DFW area, but every spot is different. Overall I enjoyed my meal and ready to enjoy the rest of my night. Big up Little Jamaica Foods.

I was born and raised in Jamaica and surprisingly the food is just as good. I had the curry goat and also had serving of the oxtail and they were both amazing. Taste was good customer service was on point. They had the reggae music in the back ground to set the mood and the environment was quite pleasing.

Ordered some catering of Jerk Chicken, red beans and rice, curry chicken with two sides of fried plantains and mixed vegetables. We ordered for 15 people and it could have fed 25!!! Can we say YUMMMERS!! Martino did an absolutely AMAZING job the food was PERFECT. Thanks Little Jamaica! Thanks Martino!!!

Was greeted by friendly staff but was told they only had jerk chicken and rice due to holiday catering. The Jerk chicken and rice was very very dry and only tasted the heat from the spice. Ice machine was broken. Through young lady apologized for everything. Definitely not like the real Jamaican food

I love their food. My favorite dish is the oxtails with cabbage and rice with peas. They always give a healthy serving. They dont skimp on the plates at all. Anytime I need my jamaican food fix I come clear across town to get a plate from here. Love it. Next time I will try some jamaican beer.

Been a regular customer since Martino been cooking the food. Cant say enough superlatives about his cooking. Took my Jamaican mother there when she visited. She said the same thing. When mom says its good, then you know its good. Always get outstanding service and food. Thank you.

Went there for lunch today and usually always good food. Someone new was working there and the food was terrible today. The chicken was bone dry to the point you couldnt eat it. The rice was also dry and the cabbage was under cooked. Usually they have terrific food but not today.

The jerk chicken was super salty, and the plantains were dry. Rice and beans and cabbage were well seasoned and tasted good. My husband got the vegetable plate and said it was pretty good. I tried the mango chicken as well and that was okay.
