As a native of SA, I would say this is the BEST TEX-MEX IN SA. If you are looking for "traditional" Tex-Mex ambiance (mariachi band, fruity drinks, fountains, etc)...go to the Riverwalk or La Fogata. If you have a ton of guests from out of town...this is probably not the place for you (since there are only about 10 tables in the tiny restaurant...but you may want to try their Fred Rd. location). If, however, you are looking for the quintessential San Antonio hole-in-the-wall Mexican Restaurant with the best Tex-Mex that you will ever have...then this is the place. All of the Garibaldi restaurants are great...but there is something about this one that is special. Its greasy...its in a sketchy part of town...and its AWESOME. From the thick, homemade corn tortillas to the tres leches cake...everything here is delicious. And I dare you to find a better enchilada in town.
