Came with a few friends. I had a Cajun Sampler plate which comes with gumbo, red beans and rice, shrimp etouffe and sausage and jumbalaya. I also ordered a popcorn shrimp poboy with a side if chicken and dumplings. I liked that I was able to get a taste for many popular Cajun dishes. I will say that I wasnt a huge fan of the shrimp etouffe or the gumbo. The Sampler consisted of small side orders so it wasnt like I was getting a lot of food for around 9 dollars. The poboy and the sauce that came with is was excellent. The chicken and dumplings were amazing, i personally think they could go head to head with cracker barrels. Overall the meal was satisfying. my friend however ordered a strawberry milkshake that was over five dollars which was not worth it. Also the alligator strips were small and fried so it was difficult to get a subtle taste of alligator that one expects when the pieces are so small that theyre cooked to toughness. They basically tasted like chicken. my other friend loved her shrimp poboy. I would say that our waiter was friendly and we were seated right away. Its a big roomy place and it wasnt too busy when we were there on a Friday around 6pm. For me this place does not make me want to go back right away but if in in the area perhaps I will.

Worst service! We were waiting for our food for about 45 minutes and our waitress never came back to check up on us or give us the status of our food. We ordered fried catfish with 2 sides. After noticing 6 tables who sat after we did received their food and almost done. I asked the waitress for the status and she gave me attitude with a response of the food are going out how they are ordered. I told her that its not true because people who got there after we did are already eating and almost done with their food. She responded "what do you want me to do about it?". I admit (I raised my voice) after she said that and told her to check on it!. Then, the manager came out and told me not to yell at his staff without even getting my side of the story. This place need to work on their customer service and teach their waitress not to respond "What do you want me to do about it? So, after 2 minutes our food came out and my sons chicken tenders were cold. I didnt eat what they served as I saw my food swimming in grease. The fried catfish, fried pickles and jambalaya were swimming in grease. I used to like this place but somehow their food quality and customer service had decrease. I will never come back to this place again!

Ordered the Crawfish combo, which was half fried crawfish and half crawfish etoufee. Came with a side, I ordered the red beans and rice, and a choice of bread. I had the jalapeno hush puppies. The serving size was huge, a full plate of food almost overflowing. I treid the fried crawfish first which was lacking something and seemed a bit plain. Then I tried the etoufee, the crawfish in it had a fishy flavor that overpowered the etoufee flavor which was decent but not fantastic. Last was the red beans and rice. Again, disappointing with no flavor, just bland beans on plain white rice. 2.5/5 Sadly a well known Louisiana fast food chain puts this place to shame when it comes to flavor. As far as customer service, our waiter was excellent. He went out of his way to bring us extra sauces, check that our meal was good, had another waiter check on us while he was gone for a few minutes and then gave us drinks to go on the way out. I couldnt have really asked for anything more service wise. 5/5 Overall the meal was OK, but I wish the food had been better. This was my 2nd visit to Acadiana, my first visit was over 6 years ago, and I was unimpressed back then as well. I figured I would give it another try.

I had my daughter baby shower here. I came walking in for a job and manager had me roll up my sleeves and show him that I had tattoos, I told him I can always wear a long sleeve undershirt and he said no we all wear short sleeves here. Then he said "fill it out" and maybe Ill give you a call for a position I didnt apply for then walked away and denied me an interview. If you have tattoos do not eat at this prejudice place its not like I have tattoos on my face or my neck that are gang related either, all my tattoos are easily covered. I cant believe I had my daughter baby shower here with friends and family who all have tattoos, I wonder what they said about us while we were spending 2 months savings at their tables.Im from New Orleans where people dont judge you for what you have on your skin. This aint even authentic Cajun food.

From the time we entered into the entrance of the restaurant. Employees were greeting with smiles and welcoming attitudes. The restaurant has a large setting capacity. Very warm and cozy. The wait staff was amazing. I observed and loved the fact that they had team spirit. They were so helping one another Not once did i see an employee not occupied. And last but not least. The menu has a large selection to choose from. Which i liked that. The food was amazing. Very flavorful. It was the first restaurant that i have come across that actually was very similar to the cajun foods that i prepare from my home state Louisiana. I am pure cajun. I am a Texan now. But i brought the cajun food to my kitchen. I also loved the fact that the owner was also helping his lovely crew . Great Job ya guys.

Horrible service! My idiot husband decided to get change for a hundred dollar bill and paid the $30 bill we had he was exhausted and accidentally gave her two hundred dollar bills the cashier gave him a bunch of ones and ignored the fact he gave her two hundred dollars more she refused to give him a recete and thinking he had the right change he put the bunch of dollar bills in his wallet and left when he realized the mistake the next morning he went back and they said there was no over the amount of money in the cash register, they had cameras and refused to show the camera tape of the cashier, the cashier pocketed the two hundred Im never coming here again. Check your change they try to trick you out of your hard earned cash.

Tldr; fried food is their speciality. Went for lunch and had good service. Jambalaya was good, red beans and rice bland, mashed potatoes great, fried mushrooms frozen but okay (more on this later), crawfish fishy (I dont think I like crawfish), biscuit okay, chicken fried steak amazing. The steak was like fried almost to the point of it going horribly wrong and burnt but snatched from the fires of Mount Doom just in time leaving it with a nice smokey firey taste that was really great. Not kidding get it. Now if only the same care and attention would be given to those mushrooms man they would be the best in the city! I need to try the fried catfish, I suspect that is even better than the steak. Overall not too bad...
