First off this is a complaint about the treatment by two "cops" as we were leaving. We left around 2 am when my cousin felt ill. So we exited out the back to meet two cops who cornered us outside telling us to leave the premises immediately. We were there eating for about an hour so we were all confused to why these cops acted like we did something wrong. Especially at the fact we were already leaving. These cops said one of us threw up on a table and the manager wanted us off the property. Not true! My cousin who was ill felt like she needed to throw up, but did not. The reason why we left immediately. We were never disruptive at any time nor did we disrespect anyone. We are all adults and did what any normal people would do when someone in your group gets ill, leave! These cops had no reason to harass us as we were leaving especially that we were all concerned about my cousin. They should have been more helpful. In my opinion these cops thought we were some dumb drunks because one of us was feeling sick. And wanted stir up something because they were bored. But we were not drunk and did not fall for their provoking bullcrap. It felt like we were walking away from an impending altercation. Luckily my family and friends are respectful adults and can see when immaturity takes hold of people. Which in this case it was two cops. I hope this does not happen to any other costumer stirring up problems for this business. My family and friends will not be returning to this particular establishment.

This Mama Margies location is pretty good I have to say. Service all depends on which employee is helping you. Some of the food here is pretty good while others are not. For example the rice and the guacamole. Like I said, it all depends on who prepared the food either the shift before or on that shift. Usually the beef or chicken is really dry depending on who is on the grill. For example, I use to work at this location and I made the best, juiciest beef but some managers do not like it that way. I know I made it the best because I had multiple customers tell me. I also like this specific location because of the karoake that they have. Their are no gloves that is required unless working in the back doing certain work. And washing hands are required before work, which I believe they should wear gloves no matter what the job. Also the service on the floor is pretty good, except this old hispanic lady that works their. I use to work with her and Ill tell you, that is lady is slow as hell. She takes her time picking up tables and makes the other bussers work twice as hard, she also likes to mop all the time. Never try to mop yourself because she will get on you about how shes the only one that is suppose to mop. Anyways, this place is pretty good

Ive given up on this place. I used to be a regular here but with the constant rude attitudes from everyone including the managers, being charged for items (in the drive thru) that are not in my bag when I get home, and the constant severe lack of accuracy in my orders, im just done. Its hard to tell when the drive thru doesnt get your order correct because they never repeat your order back to you so youre left hoping that they actually captured your order they way you want it. Numerous times Ive been charged for a side of guacamole and most of the time its never in the bag. If you call and ask that they issue a refund to your credit card for the missing food, expect to be denied. They just keep it. I once asked the manager why they so often get orders wrong, his response was that hed send corporate a fax to ask why... I promise, I didnt just make that up!!! Theyll add extra things like cheese to your tacos, charge you for the extra and then refuse to issue a refund for their "mistake". Go to Las Palapas across the street, its just as good and they actually care when they get something wrong and make it right!!!

I go to the Mama Margies on 1604 and Culebra. Ive been a customer since the day it opened. I Love Mama Margies food. Soo delicous. Its the best. People who work there are very nice. Unfortunately..the karaoke company they have doing their Karaoke is the Worse in town. Everybody who goes there says so. Ive seen good singers go there and never go back. The worse karaoke DJs on the planet. I have tried to get management to replace them with no avail. Mama Margie is the best and should have the Best Karaoke entertainment. We dont have karaoke in this area other than MMs. I wish they would give somebody else a chance. I take karaoke seriously..being a good singer. It seems like the KJ does his best to make you sound terrible. Doesnt balance the mic and music. Terrible. Sits there texting with headphones on. Give us singers a break. I would love for the Manager who hires the Karaoke to answer this review and leave a number i can contact them. The food is great. Needs great entertainment.

Ive been to this at nights and look as they make my bean and cheese yet never seen anyone wash there hands or put some gloves on... Ewww why scratch your head and go for the cheese hmm?.. my tacos always end up with lettuce in them and a lot of cheese, its more like a cheese flea taco in here :P . Mama Margies is great. We are sad when we eat at other Mexican places. The people who are saying their food is microwaved are just plain lying. They make the tortillas from scratch right where you can see all day long. You can also see them cooking the beef and chicken on the griddle. They arent hiding the cooking like at a most restaurants. The only time I have ever had food here that wasnt sizzling hot was when we couldnt hear them call our number so it sat on the counter for a little bit. The portions are huge too. We get the half pound fajita plate and it feeds my whole family( we have a 1 year old and 5 year old) as is with just a couple extra tortillas. But ask for extra onions and peppers.

A less refined version of Taco Cabana (I have no idea if theyre affiliated). Not the place you travel across town to experience, but if youre in the neighborhood, the food is good. Carne quisada was outstanding. Beef enchiladas were large and topped with nice chili sauce and cheese, but they were only warm. A bowl of queso is probably enough for four; we took it home for later, of course. Chips were a little on the thin side and several were very greasy, but for complementary you cant complain too much. The complementary salsa was very good, too. The staff didnt seem too enthused, but it was late afternoon so they were probably tired and it was probably about time for a shift change.
