Bad news on a local business. Last weekend Quinns set up to support the Special Olympics Over the Edge team Defy Gravity. Quinns advertised on their website that Saturday Evening they would be supporting the Over the Edge Team from 7p-10p. Quinns had agreed to make a donation of sales to the team. Today I found out that Quinns will not be donating to Special Olympics. They did not return calls or emails for a week, and when someone finally got ahold of the coordinator, they were told that due to low turnout that night they would not be making a donation. I have 2 issues with this. First, they still have the event on their website making it appear that they are supporting Special Olympics. Second....people came out to Quinns because of the event. If Quinns wanted to put a minimum door requirement, they should have done that upfront.

I just moved up into the Pflugerville/Round Rock area after living in Central Austin for the last 5 years, and I spent an afternoon driving around looking for local pubs/bars. A friend of mine told me about Quinns before, so I stopped in with another friend one night. The atmosphere was fun, and is in a way a "hidden gem" of a bar to hang out at. It is definitely in the historical downtown area of Round Rock, but dont be fooled about the "Sam Bass" story. I just read the review below! hahaha! Sam Bass was shot outside, and found dead in a pasture just north of downtown round rock! :-) Sorry if it is a buzz kill to the previous review. I have fun learning the history of bars, especially ones that are possibly haunted and stuff like that. So dont expect to find any ghosts here! hahaha! Youll sure as hell find a damn good time though!

Quinns Bar is a beautiful pub in historic downtown Round Rock with quite a story. From the imported Mexican (hand carved) wooden bar to the original stained glass lav doors from the French Quarter. Hand carved posts from the bed of New Orleans Queen of Voodoo, Marie Laveau, hold up the stage where legendary Austin bands and DJs play. Full service bar with new owner, management (Since April 09) and awesome remodel - no food, just all the best liquors and a great selection of local micro-brews on drought. Another significant historical fact is that the infamous train robber Sam Bass was shot and killed in this bar where the piano now stands in the corner. The bullet holes are still in the wall and the shoot-out it is a matter of the Texas historical record.

Love this joint. Awesome environment, but an even better staff, specifically Hope. I followed her from her last place. She manages a killer environment with fast drinks, fun themes and amazing live music. Now that Main St is nothing but bars, there are a ton of choices, but they keep me coming back. Go say hello, and support local business!

This was a cool little bar in downtown Round Rock. I was there on a Saturday night and they had a number of TVs showing football along with a duet playing various songs mainly country (which I enjoyed). They were really good. The bar tenders were friendly and some place Id return if I happened to be there at night.

A great little treasure in Round Rock. The prices are good, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is great. I will be back.. This is a great alternative to the distance and crowds of Downtown Austin if you are up north in Round Rock. A great neighborhood bar. Thanks for finally bringing this to the Rock.

Im here alot and the service never sucks, i might have to wait on a busy night, to be expected. Some of the best bartenders around best in down town round rock. Between them all, a great knowledge of recepies and styles.
