You cannot beat the value, quality and friendliness of Fireside Chicken and Tacos. Between the fresh (free) salsa bar and extras like (free) homemade tortilla chip basket...then your food arriving at about a 50% larger size than youd expect...Fireside delivers. Ive tried nearly everything on the menu and there are no bummers. So dont be stressed out about what to get. Surprises, however, include the Greek Wrap, the Fish Wrap...and although the chicken is in their title, IMO its underpriced by at least $2-3 for what you get...and very tasty. I suggest ordering their fresh tortillas and filling them with the several (free) salsa options, chicken and a squeeze of fresh lime (also on the bar). Dont let the older-type strip center its in dissuade you - or the non-traditional business name and initial shock when looking at the menu. I see a lot of puzzled faces of first-timers in line, and I just speak up and say "just order anything and youll be happy"...and invariably, those same people thank me on the way out the door with wide smiles on their faces...and statements like well be back for sure!" And the owners/management couldnt be any more committed, friendly and genuine. Very welcome addition to Rockwall! :) Glad to sign my name to this review... -Darin Short, Rockwall TX

This was our first time visiting Fireside. We were wanting somewhere we hadnt been before and found Fireside by an online search. I hate to admit it but we have driven by it thousands of times and never noticed it. I can honestly say its very deserving of the 5 stars I gave it. The food is far from bland as another reviewer had claimed. The food extremely good and not like every other taco place around. The service was very good and they even let us taste the different styles of chicken so that we could make our choice. We will be going back to Fireside again. I enjoy spending my money at a place that appreciates our business unlike a lot out there that make you feel like you owe them your business.

My wife and I visited this new restaurant in Rockwall. Everything is clean and new. You order at the counter. The specialty is rotisserie chicken and there are a number chicken dishes as well as tacos to choose from. If you dont fancy chicken, steak and fish are also available. I had roasted chicken breast and my wife chose roasted chicken tacos. We were both very pleased. In addition the guacamole was great and the chips appear to be homemade. One more surprise: there were four different types of salsa which made it difficult to stop eating the chips. It could be a bit difficult to find. Just look on the hill overlooking Wal-Mart.

This place is awesome and they deliver! Getting tacos delivered to my door and at work is a dream come true. Their tacos are so good! And their steak sandwich is better than any steak sandwich Ive ever had. Their chips are the best chips Ive ever eaten in my entire life. Im a huge fan of their green salsa (go green, every time). And their rice cant be beat! Im addicted to this place! Give them a try and youll be addicted too! Try them out and you will be ordering from them every week.

Fireside Chicken and Tacos is excellent!! Whatever your preconceived notion of what it may be from the name or location it is way better. Weve always had take out or delivery. As soon as you open the containers you realize its different. Tacos stuffed full of fresh steak or chicken. Fresh avocados and cilantro. A variety of homemade salsas. The pinto beans are perfect. Roasted chicken also excellent. Give it a try. You will be surprised and not disappointed.

Normally this place is delicious, but today I was disappointed. I ordered for pick up and I didnt get my drink with my combo (didnt realize till I got back home). My potatoes were super dry, cold and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. It was like eating cold French fries...gross! And since when do they charge for chips??? I have gotten orders for pick up before and received chips and salsa at no charge. Needless to say I was not happy today.

I love Fireside! Locally owned bistro; tasty food served with a smile. Everything is made fresh and to order, on site - real food, made fast. One of my favorite places to meet my clients before or after a long day of showing property! Youll love the fresh Salsa Bar with several options. Roasted chicken, burritos, variety of gourmet tacos, roasted potatoes, fresh veggies. You wont be disappointed. Tell them I sent you!

1st time here. I sat in the parking lot and read the reviews before coming in. I ordered the Steak the Classic which was very good. Meat was tender and add a spritz of lime and the flavor is perfect. I also ordered a side of Pinto Beans and was surprised by the flavor. The chips were nice and thick and I really like the salsa bar is kept covered. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. I will definitely be back

More recent visit, more great food and excellent service... Great tacos and very good prices. Salsa bar is legit. Chips were great; housemade. Been back many times and its always good. The staff is very friendly and food is great. Many visits and always excellent. The staff is so nice. Food is outstanding. Samsung pay works here too.

I absolutely love this place!!! The mega-taco is incredible. The chips are delicious and the fish tacos are some of the best I have ever had. When I come through Rockwall, I have to stop here to eat! The staff is the most friendly of any restaurant in the area. You really wont be disappointed!!!

Bad Customer service. We ate here before and we had no problems. We got a order delivered and my husband wasnt pleased with his order. The guy over the phone gave him a hard time stating they cook the food the same everytime. He did not offer him anything in exchange for the food or refund.

The BEST LEMON PEPPER bone in, lighly battered and fried chicken wings in town. Forget Wing Stop, this is the last stop for wings. They have 3 flavors: Buffalo, parmesan, and lemon pepper. It was my first time, but definitely not my last. THOSE WINGS GAVE ME LIFE!

Very good food and friendly staff. The Buffalo chicken taco was excellent. The tortillas and chips taste homemade and the salsa bar is very nice. I would highly recommend trying this place and I look forward to trying the rotisserie chicken in the future.

Just tried it for the first time tonight. Got both the chicken l and Steak tacos, i preffer the steak they were amazing! But then again im a taco head. Staff was sooo sooo nice and friendly! Definitely going to gain a couple of pounds from this place

Enjoy the Food and they DELIVER!! which is great because our office is in the Trend Tower. Inside is a little loud and they forget things on our delivery from time to time or I would give them 5 stars. Everyone is very nice, hopefully they do well!

My husband and I go here almost weekly now. The roasted chicken is fantastic. Really, everything is good. Their salsa selection is really tasty, and you can take home a bottle if you like. Weve always had great service here, too.
