this pier does not accept cards. do not drive 4 hours from austin to get there only to have the guy tell you cash only. there is a simple thing called square (or their competitors) they can use to accept card. it comes with a free reader and they only charge 1%. you can even charge an extra 2 dollars for a card fee. they refuse to do this and lose tons of business because of it. i sat at the entrance and watched many families get turned down because of cash only. if these people want more (MUCH MORE) business would ADAPT TO 2016 and accept cards like every one else.

If I could give this a zero star I would. Says its 24 hour, and it was locked up tight at 6:00pm. Called the number on the door and it it didnt work. Finally got ahold of someone and they were rude and said they werent open anymore. You could still walk out on the pier if you have your own gear, of which we did not, which is why we came to somewhere that supposedly had rentals. What a great experience...

Wish I could do zero. The owners a bigot. Im not allowed in there for any specific reason. I always followed every rule and paid for everything. I assume its because Im transgender. Just told me one day never to come back, no legal statement or anything. Place is overpriced and has poor upkeep.

The descriptions of this place are very misleading. The fishing pier that the restaurant is located on was rebuilt in the 1980s after a hurricane took the original pier down. The pier is a 80s design rather than the 1950s wood design.
