Well, we should have kept going....we knew better! In small towns there are no county health inspectors to keep places like this in line or to CLOSE them. My wife wanted to go when she and the other lady noticed roaches (6) crawling on the floor near the kitchen, The waitress said they were water bugs from all of the rain. I persuaded my wife to stay. I am 55 years old and I have NEVER walked out on a full plate of food...but I did yesterday. I knew it was going to be bad when the waitress brought powder creamer for the nasty coffee. I had Cowboy Eggs Benedict. It sounded pretty good on the menu...I took one bite and nearly vomited. The "gravy" was cooked in 2 week old grease and the biscuits tasted like they were half-baked from a can. OH my gawd this was nasty. Wife had a pancake and it was nasty. She took one bite and said she was leaving. The pancake was made with baking powder or some such thing. We got up and got the heck out of there. We didnt get sick but the taste in out mouths stayed for about 4 hours. Dont stop to eat in small towns where there are no check and balances for these businesses...I should have listened to my wife...I will next time. The place has been updated...looks nice but gawd the food is nasty. .

I kept ordering things because they continued to tell me that they were out of everything. First they were out of Chicken Fried Chicken, next they wanted me to eat my salad without dressing. They were out of 1000 Island and I only eat that. The owner got me on the phone and told me I had to pay for it no matter what. I had told them to cancel my order and they made it anyway. Finally, I paid for the food that I did not receive or eat and left. I will never do business in Memphis, TX again. I should have known with the church flyers and scriptures at the register that something was wrong... Sad thing is the restaurant is very nice and we were hoping to eat here a lot as we travel by it. The first time we tried it for breakfast, but they were very slow and the food is better at IHOP or Waffle House.

From the nasty waitress to the nasty food to Broomhilda the owner. The whole place is just plain nasty. You better off eating dog crap off the parking lot. At least the dog will act like a dog. The locals must not know how to cook or too poor to drive elsewhere to eat. DO NOT STOP HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY NASTY FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD POISONING.

They moved to a clean facility and have all new staff this place is wonderful. My husband and i travel all over. We r truckers and after eating in 48 different states and this one is the best and they have truck parking. The buffet is to die for and the steak is cooked just right. This is now our regular place.

Good environment bad food. Famous chicken fried stake, very bland. Fresh lettuce but ranch tasted like it wasnt refrigerated well. The fried green beans where OK. Over all 5 star on environment and 1 star on food. Coffee OK too.
