Mediocre at best. Stale chips and they charge you for any additional baskets after the first one. Seriously? Who does that. Then the food comes and it has a little taste to it but not even as good as taco Bell. Everything tasted almost bland. Very dirty and dingy. As if it hasnt been swept or cleaned in a very long time. Dont expect extra tortillas or a fast drink refill, even if the restaurant is empty. First time here. Last time here.

Its authentic Mexican food. I was amazed at the prices, they are extremely reasonable. The servings are large and I was able to make another meal out of the leftovers. The salsas nice and spicy. The drinks are large. This has a little bit of a dive look that is a hidden treasure. The tamales are worth trying. They make them fresh there. Theres live music. Im not sure of the nights but for sure on Fridays.

Going to have to agree with theRomanian100 reviewer. There is a reason when we came in the place was empty. Margaritas on the rocks were okay, little too sweet like a store mix. Food was bland unfortunately. Doubt Ill be back. Can only assume the management changed or chef left. Was really hopefully this was going to be the good mexican foods I was looking for. Also expensive for the food :(

We love this place. Its a great place to eat and grab a margarita before heading downtown. If you get to know your servers like we have, they treat you like gold. Albert is our usual guy, but LuLu runs the show. Tortillas made in house. Great prices too, not like the overpriced "food" they serve on the square. Definitely worth the 2 minute walk from the square.

Im from San Antonio where Mexican food is the real thing. 29 years ago I came here and El Juarez was the only place I could find that made good mexican food. Til this day I still go there. Its the best you will find here in McKinney. Love it.

Very nice place. They had live music on the Friday night that we went. The food and drinks were every good and at a reasonable price. Only negative was our waitress could have been more personable, but her service was good. Recommend.

This is old school McKinney. They are the best Tex/Mex in McKinney. They have the best hot sauce Ive ever had in a restaurant. The pork guisada is amazing.
