Although clean, I was VERY disappointed with the service. First after we were seated no one asked us for our drink order, we had to ask a lady (that looked like a waitress to me) walking by to ask for our drinks. We had already been there a little while and knew what we wanted to order but she said she couldnt take our order that someone else would come do that. Then once our waitress did take our order she literally never came back once to refill out tea or to ask if we needed anything. Like I said the place was clean. They had two people out the entire time cleaning tables but apparently they were too busy cleaning to take care of the customers. Oh and as soon as we got up our waitress and another guy came to clean our table off. Its like they were in a hurry for us to leave! Very strange experience. And the food wasnt as awesome as I thought it would be. Ive had better. It was ok but nothing to brag about.

Horrible!! Horrible to say the least!! If opening up a can of vegetable soup and adding old leftover shredded chicken is what you call Tortilla Soup, I think the owner needs to sample EVERYTHING BEFORE serving it to their customers!! AND the kitchen help are Mexicans!!! The first time we thought o.k. we came at a bad time, I had the Caldo de Rez which was also old, (It had green beans and mixed vegetables same as did the tortilla soup!! The potatoes were brown and old!! ok...granted I ordered it at 6 oclock on a Friday night my fault, but the last customer should receive the same fresh food as the first!! NEVER AGAIN!!! JUST DONT DO IT if your hispanic, youll feel out of place with all the White folks!!!

My husband ordered beef fajitas and the meat was rotten on first bite. Gave it back to waiter, who apologized, and asked what else he would like instead. He ordered a burger, which took another 20 minutes to come. Waiter was excited to inform us that the rotten dish was "completely taken off" our bill, but that we would be charged for replacement meal. Told manager we felt it was tacky to charge for food we had to order to replace rotten meat, especially after not receiving it until everyone else had finished eating. Apologies were given, along with a statement that theyve never had a complaint about the meat, but no refund offered.

The people who give this place 5 stars and say they have been going here for 20 years are just that...they have been eating at the same place for 20 years in a small town full of old people with aging tastebuds. I havent been in Kerrville for too long but so far this is the worst tex-mex food in town, there is much better cheaper food elsewhere. I guess if you are 50+ this place will taste okay because you cant tell the difference anymore. Sorry, service was okay but food was gross and of very poor quality.

This pic was the best I could do. The salsa was a can of tomato sauce with pureed onions and a hint of jalapeno. The fajita tacos were decent, however, they came with a little sorry pile of pico de gallo and some pureed beans on the side that tasted like they were boiled with salt only. The rice was ok with a little bit of flavor but COME ON!! WHERE ARE THE MEXICANAS with their cooking skills?! This place lacked a TON of flavor for my craving of Tex Mex! Zero stars if I could have left that!

Long time customer from 1987 when there were garage doors on the side of the building. Ate yesterday and enjoyed the extremely fresh and well-prepared guacamole salad and chili con queso apps and passable Southwest salad which would have had better presentation with the large chunks of avacado on to with the chicken and more shredded cheese. The tea was great. The service from Caylin (? Spelling) was good. My favorite Kerrville Mexican restaurant. I love the Alcapulco platter.

Drove 5Hrs to Kerrville for a business trip; decided to get some food since my co workers and I havent ate all day. The waiter basically called me fat for ordering an enchilada plate. Not only that the food was HORRIBLE! My meat wasnt even cooked right & my co workers food was super cold! Definitely not coming back to this place at all!!!!! Rude waiter and VERY VERY BAD SERVICE! If it gave me an option to put no stars and not rank it I would!! Hated this service..

The food quality has gotten worse, the prices are higher and today there was a piece of hard plastic in my husbands tortilla soup. It looked like a circular disk and if hed bitten into it it could have cracked a tooth. The manager decided not to charge us for the soup, but did not even come over to apologize. Needless to say we werent interested in finishing our meal. Well not be back, and have been loyal customers for over 20 years.

I have been to Acapulco twice since the remodel. Sadly, the food and service has gone downhill. No more tortillas with a meal. Thin, runny, bland salsa. Tasteless enchiladas. This place used to be a lower priced but solid competitor for Mamacitas. Now theres no comparison. I wont be going back. Did it change owners? It is nothing like it was. If you want something like Acapulco used to be, try Los Dos Amigos in Center Point.

Mediocre food at best. Only survives because of the low standards and lack of competition. They seem to be dependent on an aging clientele that remember the "good ol days" when they were above average for a small town. On the good side it isnt a loud gaudy money sucking carnival like Mamacitas. Sorry for the negativity...I miss having to decide where I want to eat good food instead of settling for whatever is open and edible.

This place is a decent Mexican restaurant, but I think you can do better in this town. If youre wanting to try it though, theres nothing bad about it I just thought it was rather average food. Maybe youre taste will be different than mine. Its definitely a step up from fast food places like Taco Bell or Taco Casa though. Give this place a try.

Walked in and immediately was surprised at the manager. He refused to seat us where we wanted and five minutes later some other couple was seated in the same section where we wanted to sit. Thought it unfair and decided to take our selves to a place where we were welcomed and shown to a table by the window without even having to ask.

Waiter thought everything was a joke, kept forgetting things at our table and kept laughing it off. To make it worse, when I paid for my food he just kept my change! I had to go find him and ask him for my money back. I dont mind tipping at all, but I feel like you gotta earn it, I dont just automatically owe it to you
