I was excited when my bf wanted to take me to Red Lobster on a whim. Now granted, I know I am not getting Joes Stone Crab in Miami, but, I really like Olive dining for casual Italian and I was hoping that RL would be like that. The place looked really nicely remodeled, very modern and earthy, and we were seated in a nice quiet area booth almost immediately. The cheese biscuits arrived, and it was looking good. Our server told us it was his FIRST day, but my bf and I have both worked in the service industry and agreed we would be as easy as possible. Well, that is where the peak of our night went downhill. I can understand being new, but our server was almost "embarrassed" to ask us what we would like to order. We sat there watching as family after family came in behind us and were all getting their food and wrapping up their bill...still no salads. It took forever for the food to arrive and it was overcooked and cold. My Salad came about 30 minutes after I ordered it, and it was soggy and warm. Our Calamari/clam strips appetizer was deplorable- the Calamari was okay but there were only 3 or 4 small rings, and the rest of the plate had deep fried broccoli and peppers ( I assume it was to fill up the plate), and about 10 teeny tiny clam strips that were extremely rubbery and had been burned to a crisp. Our waiter came 4 times to ask how we wanted the steak cooked, and when it finally arrived it was medium well (we asked for medium rare), and the mashed potatoes had a "skin" that had formed from sitting in the window for so long. My boyfriend and I couldnt stop laughing thinking we had been PUNKD by Ashton Kutcher. The reason i gave 2 stars is because the manager was nice and removed the appetizer from our bill. Additionally, the more experienced waitresses in our section, saw our server having an ongoing panic attack, and jumped in to help refill our drinks and see what was going on in the kitchen. I was upset with him though, when he finally came back to the table with my tea, I asked for a whole bowl of lemons and he brought me one lemon slice. after all that waiting around, he should have brought me a whole lemon tree!

Red Lobster - 13232 Northwest Freeway, Houston TX This was my bf and my first time at this location - we will never go there again. From the moment we walked in, the people were rude. The restaurant was mostly empty, but we could see many tables with no one at them and yet they gave us a buzzer and told us we had to wait. We asked about the empty tables and were mostly ignored. Then they tried to seat us at the bar. We wanted a table and the woman that seated us gave us major attitude that we wanted to sit somewhere other than the booth at the bar. The young woman that took our drink order seemed nice, we both ordered water with lemon, and she promptly brought us water, but no lemon. We asked three times for lemon - as she took our order, she said the lemons were begin cut. The last time being when she brought our salads and bread (the salads were not fresh, there was no butter to go with the bread, and one of the bread plates was dirty). Finally my bf walked to the bar and was given a glass full of lemon wedges. When he showed the waitress that he had already found some lemon, she walked away and never came back to our table. We waited and watched as she bussed tables, and served other customers, but she never came back to retrieve our salad bowls, or check on us, certainly not to bring us our food. After waiting for over 1/2 hour, we asked another waiter to find the manager - who never showed up. We walked out - since it was obvious we were not going to get to talk to the manager or be served. I personally do not think there was a manager on duty - the place seemed to be in limbo, with no one directing or making any effort to seat people quickly or serve them. There were many tables that had not been bussed with the check and dirty dishes still sitting on the table. Almost everyone we dealt with was rude, with the exception of the bartender. We were prepared to spend around $100 for a nice crab dinner for the both of us - needless to say, we took our business elsewhere, where we were treated right.

Ive just got this page and Ive just back home from this restaurant! Iam surprised about the rate Ana the negative previous review!!! well every one may rate it as his own experience , for me and my partner, honestly we didnt stop smiling since we get in this place till we reach our car, every thing went amazing, the staff were helpfull and served us as well as the high class restaurant do! the lobster ( the live one which we choose) was tasteful and they show it to u before they take it to the oven! so u have to b patient till its well clocked other wise u gonna complain about the taste! I celebrated my partner Bd , make him a surprise , so ... they did thier best and take goof care of us and whatever I asked for, hold my presents , candles Ana card and present them to my partner in a great way and warm smile at the dessert time, he felt great and I did too. this will be my first spot on the seafood restaurant, loved every thing about this place! they care about the details <3

Got there at 3:00pm. Plenty of tables open but they were making everyone wait 30-45 minutes before being seated. People were leaving after seeing the place was only about half full yet the waiting area was more than packed. So packed even that people were waiting outside. I was alone so I sat at the bar and ate the Lobster Lovers Dream. The food was okay. The lobsters were very small as was the portions for everything. I think they purposely buy the smallest potatoes they can find. The main lobster was better than the rock lobster and the linguini Alfredo was overcooked. This place used to be so much better just a few years ago. They spent $$$ remodeling it when it was fine the way it was. They shouldve spent all that money on training the wait staff better and making sure the food is prepared properly.

Went there a few weeks back and my family and I had the worst service, the food was ok. But our waitress wouldnt come by unless it was for her whole section. So if I asked for a refill she wouldnt come back with it until there was other stuff to bring to other tables or a group is ready to order. When my family member mentioned to her that the food was undercooked my father also asked for another beer and she didnt bring him his beer until the undercooked food was ready which took 20 minutes. Me and my parents use to go there when I was a kid and I loved it, But its a shame that it was like that. My parents stopped going because of this years ago.

Worst service Ive had at a Red Lobster that I can remember. Took almost 2 minutes to be acknowledged by someone to seat us. The place was practically empty (Between lunch and dinner). My party had 4 adults and a baby. When finally seated we got 4 menus, 2 bundles of silverware; no highchair. Took 15 min to get a highchair. Longer for the adequate amount of silverware. When ordering... one order was for the endless shrimp promotion... The order was incorrect upon arrival. The babys order was forgotten. And everything was cold. The food was tasty, but the temperature had the flavor fall flat and felt like we were eating leftovers.
