Ive never rated anywhere a 5 star but this came VERY close. What a great experience! On a staycation weekend downtown, ran across this place near the theater district. Food was absolutely great with perfect portions, a good wine list and prices much lower than places with food not near as good including those crappy chains. The service was great with the owner checking in on us to make sure it was worth our time. (it was...). This could be the best place in Houston and certainly a new favorite I will go out of my way for for a great meal and experience. P.S. The tiramisu was good but the Italian cream with fruit - wow. UPDATE: upon further review and subsequent visits - definite 5

First time to visit this place. Location was close to theater district! Excellent food!! Loved every item from the freshness of the spinach and shrimp to the wine and dessert was delicious! Coffee and courteous service! Felt like a friend of the family! Would definitely eat here again! Small restaurant and Its only open certain hours during the evenings, call ahead for reservations! Love this place!

A mixup in reservations initially caused a problem, but the owner graciously had a table ready in just a few minutes. The service was excellent and the cuisine authentic Italian. This is NOT your chain restaurant fare. The linguini and shrimp was delicious, obviously made with fresh ingredients. After a long day at the International Quilt Festival, it was refreshing. We will be back!

This is one of my favorite Italian places in Houston. Despite the high ceiling, hard surfaces, and loud atmosphere, I still enjoy coming here. The food is always freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients. Im especially fond of the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio (garlic, olive oil and mushrooms), $10.95 at lunch.

Great family feel. Part of that charm comes with slightly slower service and closer quarters than are usually expected from a place like this, but they understand that most of their clients are on a business lunch or having a pre-show meal and they take care of you. The fish dishes are always a good option.

Walked it and they luckily had a table for two that had just cancelled. The chef came out and told us she can make anything outside of the menu and gave great recommendations. Food was fresh and delicious, service was absolutely perfect too. Wear nice clothes and make reservations though!

The food was great and contemporary. Staff was scarce and my husbands salmon was undercooked but we appreciate how quickly they corrected the issue. We were in at 7p and out by 7:45p. Loved the quick service that gave us plenty of time to get to a nearby show.

Both me and my mother enjoyed the atmosphere and service but the fish isnt what we expected after seeing all the reviews we thought it was amazing but highly disappointed. As for the pasta is was quite delicious . Overall it was a good experience .

Wonderful! everything I have tried there has been great. The chef is from Capri and the food is authentic. FYI, they keep gluten free pasta on hand, just ask for it if gluten is an issue for you.
