First off on my two visits food has been great Excellent bread, a rarety in Houston. The major problem was the people behind the counter. It was 3 in the afternoon and I asked of ok to order from the breakfast menu. They said yes. Tried to order a banana chocolate croissant and a side (thier word from the menu) of bacon. The young lady could not understand a side. She got help from a guy who took over. I ordered a chefs salad with no olives. They use that annoying system of paying with tip before you get any food or service. Lowest tip is 15%. For counter only service where you you get your own water and set up. I normally leave 10% cash on table for the bussers in a no service place. Well my salad comes but there are no set ups available. When I ask the counter people act surprised and ask me if I really wanted a fork. Apparently they think I should bend over the bowl and graze. The croissant shows up but no bacon also we discovered no banana in the croissant just chocolate. I ask why no side of bacon and they say I ordered bacon on my salad on the side. Salad comes with crumpled bacon laid out on strips like the chopped tomatoes, cheese, the supposed grilled chicken (which was not there),etc I explained and pointed out language on menu as to what a side is If they truly understood what I said incorrectly the salad crumpled bacon would have not been on the salad but in a cup on the actual side. Not on the salad What they were doing is blaming me instead of simply taking care of the error. Like a lot of modern resteraunts the noise level is bad, apparently by design. Only 5 others in the place. All speaking normally yet the hard surfaces made for loud echoing noise supplemented by an even louder refrigeration unit

This is a well kept café its a peaceful place to be and meet up with company for a morning conversation. But if Black beware the own owner calls the cops on U himself for no reason @ all to make u look soo low.Im guessing my color wasnt allowed the way he laughed at the image he gave Me to look as.It was embarrassing to explain myself to the officers that Ive never meant no harm I was just meeting a Friend like any other human being. But little do he know I work right around the corner. And those same cops came to dine an seen Me. The black officer apologized for the incident but nothing can bring back my pride of Freedom.Nothing,Rice Village need to get over the image thing we are here and stronger than ever.

Lovely quiche and macarons that were light as air. The staff are all very friendly, and its got a very nice interior. The main thing that lets it down is the coffee - we got an americano and an iced coffee and they were both terrible, not European style coffee at all.

We had brunch there last week and werent impressed. The staff were nice, but struggled to get our order correct. The pastries looked very nice, but we didnt try anything since we just werent impressed with the omelet and crepes.

We had an excellent espresso and cappuccino. The owners are French which is why you can find real espresso. There are a few tables outside, we enjoyed January sun over there. A real pleasant spot, exactly like a Café in Paris!

Flo dishes out authentic fresh pastries and a good selection of hot beverages. Tried a couple from their selection of about a dozen types of macarons and strawberry fruit tart and loved it.

Croissants are Served in a correct way. Toast up crispy. Soup is delicious. However, it will be great if they have better teas, use local tea merchants.

Disappointed with this place. Pastries are way too heavy and sweet, almond croissant has cinnamon. Couldnt find the French taste I was looking for...

Cake was just all right. Crepe was good but on the softer side, guess I prefer mine with a little crunch. Cute place, nice people.
