I pick up a box of Acadian Bakery every time Im dropping by a family gathering or potluck, because they are ALWAYS a hit. These cookies are magical. I dont know what they put in them, but if I lived on this street. I would probably start to resemble Bo from Dragon Ball Z after a few months :-) Go for the walnut chocolate chip. There is no question. The others are good, but walnut chocolate chip is, and always will be, the Acadian Bakery classic. Then go buy a jug of milk from the bodega next door. Get yourself to Central Park and take a big, rich, life-affirming bite of that cookie.There might be a line out the door, but it goes by super quickly. I used to reward myself with a cookie every time I went for a bikini wax at Max Wax upstairs, then I noticed I was scheduling an awful lot of waxing appointments.

The Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookies manages to be both a cookie and a good lava brownie at the same time, all for just. Now, I know for just one delicious treat seems like a lot, but this cookie is worth the splurge. We got both the chocolate chocolate chip cookie and the original chocolate chip with walnuts. To be honest the original cookie was good but I didnt think anything so special, BUT the chocolate chocolate chip cookie is literally the BEST most decadent cookie Ive ever had. If you check out these yelp reviews youll find people actually rag on Acadia Bakery. I read the negative comments and I completely disagree, but dont trust me, go try one for yourself. but do yourself a favor and have the double chocolate its worth it..

Weve ordered our wedding cakes from Acadian Bakers since 1992, when we started hosting our weddings. In 18 years!!, the cakes have always been first rate; and have never ceased to amaze the wedding guests who have partaken, as well as our staff, who covet a bite of Acadians cakes. They have never been late with an order, nor have we ever received anything other than a first-rate cake or other goodies we ordered. Sandy, the owner, and her staff, run a first-class operation. I went into the bakery on a Tuesday and ordered a cake for Saturday pick up. When I arrived on Saturday the bakery had a sign saying they were closed until Tuesday!!!!! They had my phone number and never called to tell me. I called the Emergency Number, and left a message, it is 4 DAYS later and I have yet to get a call back. The cake was for a friends 40th birthday, needless to say I was extremely upset not to have a cake. Do not depend on this bakery if you are needing something for a special occasion.

Poor management and unethical work attitude makes this please a definite no no. The cake was not ready with the desired design on time which completely ruined my 1 year olds bday party. The design was sent to them 3 days in advance even though they claim they never got it. They even replied to the email and still claim they did not get it. Save yourself and keep away from this place. "Baker for the stars but definitely not the common man"

I misordered a couple king cakes for a party in Galveston from Mail Order Bakery in New Orleans. I called Acadian at 2PM on Friday afternoon...ordered 2 cakes and they were ready by 4:30. The Party on Saturday Morning is Saved. Thanks for the great service. Ill be back next year.

A hidden gem! Soft, in house made buns, crispy rings and a juicy burger to die for! This was my first visit, but not my last. Even met the owner Sandy who happens to be an old neighbor of my friend John. Also ordered a praline brownie. That will be my dessert later.

The Italian cream cake... Flawless.. Idk what it is in that particular cake batter that gave it such a unique flavor but its amazingly delicious. Ordered a humming bird cake for my daughters party and again we were very satisfied. Looking forward to my next order!

The best Italian Cream Cake you will ever taste. Ordered a sheet for an ex coworker, there was not a slice left off that whole sheet cake. It was ready on time and fresh. Everyone loved the cake.
