Oh my God, this place Demeris does not know what they are doing with brisket. I read a warning review from Guillermo and legged in with a chopped beef sandwich to test the waters. I must first declare that I am a smoked BBQ eficionado that fully understands the inputs to good BBQ. Quality of meat, Seasoning and trimming meat of excess fat or facia, temperature control and time required to achieve color, tenderness, and pull of the meat. My chopped beef was served and looked like chopped ham with no blackened colors. It has the texture like ham. It had zero seasoning. I pointed this out to the counter server lady who insisted this was brisket. The horror. This place even charges $18 a lbs. for brisket which is robbery for junk quality. No effort, no love in the the name branding of Demeris. Central Texas BBQ would shut this place down in a side by side competion to earn your business. Now to exasperate the BBQ phenomenon that does not exist here. Big Red soda. Good BBQ goes to another level with an ice cold Big Red. No such drink here. I returned the flat fountain Coke for a can of soda. Saltine crackers. They go fantastic with greasy, bad ass BBQ, along with a whole Del Dixie pickle. The same lady produced the Saltines upon request and get this, asked me if I had an upset stomach. My mind was reeling. I hope this review helps fellow BBQ lovers make the right decision!

I was surprised by this place. I had never really noticed it, though had driven past the location hundreds of times, and there is a whole parking lot and a giant seating area in the restaurant. I was also surprised at the reviews I had read, because my experience here was mostly delicious. I went on a Saturday around 1pm, and I guess I had missed the lunch rush because it was just me and another lady in there. The staff wasnt super friendly, but I ordered and the food came out minutes later. I got a half pound of brisket and a large unsweetened iced tea, to go, for around $11. I would say thats about average pricing for BBQ around these areas. Anyway, the brisket itself was SUPER moist and the BBQ sauce was delicious - not super smokey, not super spicy, not super sweet, and just completely balanced. Im newer to Texas (and brisket), but I made some Frito pie with the leftover brisket for my friends and they commented on the quality of the brisket as well - and they are all native Texans! So that must say something!?!

I eat at places all over the country, especially Bar-B-que. I enjoy Texas beef bar-b-que but I was expecting more when I drove in to this location. A Monday night at 7:00 pm and only 1 other car in the parking lot should have been my first clue. The staff was helpful and patient while my family ordered. The style of sauce in a typical Texas vinegar/tomato/smoky base. But was not spectacular. I had the combo plate with ribs and brisket. Portions were acceptable and juicy. Sweet tea was above average and the sweetness…spot-on. My side of fries was only slightly warm and a member of my party had onion ring which were the “too thick” variety of what appeared to be standard commercial food wholesale band. In summary, the décor was nice, cozy and clean. Booth seats had so-so padding. Food had good value compared to price. There are so many places to eat good Texas BBQ, so I would move on to those

Been here several times, so I feel I have a good idea of their consistency. First off, the Mac and Cheese is the star of the show. Its perfectly gooey, and the Mac is tender. The baked beans are the perfect level of sweetness. The potato salad has the right mash consistency, as well as a great flavor. On to the meats. The Chicken is a solid smoked BBQ chicken. Juicy and tender. The Link is great. Doesnt have a bite to it, but its not bland either. The Pork Ribs were lacking. They tend to be a little chewy, and arent what I would even call a solid showing. The service is great. The lady behind the counter seems cantankerous at first, but is actually a sweetheart. You wont be disappointed with the sides, but if youre a rib person, you might be underwhelmed. Just my ten cents, your mileage may vary. Cheers. AX P.S. Try the bayou goo for dessert. Its delicious as hell.

Ive had the luxury of dining here as well as receiving several catering orders for my office. Their salads are amazing. Ive had the grilled chicken salad as well as the greek salad. Both were phenomenal. Greek salad at a bbq place? YES! Super delicious good times! Their cookies are also worth enjoying. The meat is top quality and never disappoints my hungry crowds. The customer service/timeliness/presentations of deliveries exceeds my expectations ALWAYS. When you order baked potatoes, all the toppings are on the side and in abundance. Thank you! Will definitely order again, soon!

Demeris catered a large event for me this week. They did a great job. The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. There were 4 staff members and one bartender that worked the event for 75 people. They all did an excellent job of keeping the place clean and serving up the fabulous barbecue and fixings. The bartender remembered what my guests were drinking and was very professional. I highly recommend them for any catered event and will not hesitate to use them again in the future!

Awful. Cannot even describe. I think a group of 6th graders might be able to make better bbq than this "professional" restaurateur. I was forced to eat for lunch today because my company hired them to cater. Reminded me why I havent been back since the first time 10yrs ago! I am definitely a bbq snob, so please take this with a grain of salt. But for the same price I can go to Gatlins, Virgies, hell even Goode Co. is far superior and not much more $$.

Demeris Catering prepared and served the food for my daughters wedding. They did a superb job. The food was outstanding, the service was fantastic, the place settings were beautiful. In addition, Demeris also performed some services that were outside of their contract (actually, way outside), and they did NOT charge me for them. If you are looking to cater a large event...you MUST call George Demeris - he and his staff are fantastic.

Wish there was an option for bland. While the brisket sandwich I had was not bad. I dont think I would qualify it as good. It was bland and the BBQ on the meat had very little flavor. Coming from NY I would think even the worst BBQ place in Texas could make a brisket sandwich on par with anything I could get in NY. I guess not. I will just have to wait until I head back to Dallas for that great sandwich I had at Cowboys stadium.

We ordered the roast turkey for Thanksgiving. The second day after Thanksgiving the left over turkey was rotten. It really stunk and we had to throw it out. Thanksgiving day it tasted good, but within two days it was absolutely rotten. Hope no one gets sick. We had a big gathering. And my name is not Susan Harcorte. (My name is Shirley Currier. I dont know where that name came from and cant change it on the review.)
