My birthday dinner was held here recently and it was truly a great experience! From what I saw, and what I heard about the planning, the staff went above and beyond to make sure the dinner went smoothly. From going out to buy the balloons for me to cutting and serving the cake that was brought, they handled everything with such aplomb. To add to the incredible service, the food was excellent and brought out quickly while making sure all of our needs were met. They were very gracious to us and I cant thank them enough for helping make sure that my birthday was memorable. Id give them 10 stars if I could!

My co-workers and I eat here about once a week. The lunch specials are delicious and the portions are more than enough. The service is always great. Travis, our usual server, remembered our names and preferences after our first visit. The owner is frequently there helping out, something that is lost in many restaurants these days. If you work in or near Citycentre you should make a point to try Caliente! I usually opt for the fajita enchiladas with the red chili sauce. Its so good that Ive been reluctant to order anything else.

I love this place, it is in the Town and Country complex and very handy. The atmosphere is not like a typical mexican restaurant, it is quite minimalist but the food and prices are really great. The staff are lovely and they have an option to build your own bowl which is delicious and such good value, I would eat here every day if I could! Do be aware that you must not park there if you are walking over to City Centre as the two shopping areas have separate parking options and there is a hefty fine if you mess up!

The service was very attentive and friendly. We were treated more like friends than customers. The recommendations were spot on. Excellent mixed fajitas and queso dip. We shared the fajitas for 2 between 2 adults and 2 kids it was perfect. Needed more tortillas and they were very accommodating (some places charge extra). They have a Tuesday special that I will have to try but even without the special this is an great place that will become a regular dining spot....I have to try the margarita!

Ate here for the first time last night - will be back! The pork enchiladas were out of this world!!!! I will have cravings... Black beans and cilantro rice were a welcome change from the obligatory Mexican rice and pintos - very fresh! Salsa is also delicious and a bit different from the more tomato-y salsa at most Mexican restaurants...I would have foregone the second serving had I known how good my entrée was going to be! Casual atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, clean and good atmosphere. I ordered shrimp fajitas (pic) and my wife ordered vegetarian tacos. The food was tasty but took very long to make/serve, nearly 25 minutes. My wife finally had to request her entree to go as it took so much time. The reason I am still giving it 3 stars is that we were told that the food is prepared fresh and they do not even have a freezer. We will visit again and hopefully, then, the service will be quicker.

Food was really good! SERVICE WAS AWFUL!!!!!! Seriously lost about 10 customers because it took an hour for us to get drinks, and took about 10 mins for the other half of the table to get their food! The servers name was Jessica and she had no desire to work or to do her job! the other server was Ivy and she had to run around and do everything!!! When we asked for the manager, he was out of town? No wonder no one wanted to do their job.

Breakfast tacos are amazing! If you like spicy, try egg with their signature pork... Just wow. And even more amazing is the service. The owner thanked us for coming out, and everyone there showed a level of hospitality that you just dont get anymore. The inside was clean and modern but not intimidating. We sat outside on the patio with our puppy and they even offered to fill up his water bowl. Great food & great people!

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. We didnt realize we arrived not long before closing, and they still gave us amazing service. The food was delicious! I didnt expect for those fajitas to be as good as they were. Will definitely return and recommend this place to anyone craving fajitas!

Nothing terrible about the food, but nothing exciting. Tortilla soup was...interesting...and was full of gigantic chunks or the most random ingredients Ive ever seen in tortilla soup. Caliente bowl was decent but bland. Enchiladas and queso were good but nothing special.

Strictly average TexMex and definitely not Mexican food, though the chips and salsa are good and the service was friendly. The tortilla soup was a big miss - chicken soup loaded with vegetables and a handful of chips on top does not make for good tortilla soup.

I am a regular here for lunch. They remember me and go out of their way to serve me quickly. The food is consistently good and fresh, and I love that they have black beans. I would definitely recommend for elevated TexMex in the Town & Country area.

When my wife and I are in Houston, Caliente is always one of our top spots to hit. We live in ATX, home of Tex Mex so we know good food. Caliente is awesome!!!! Go see Chris and his staff. Make sure you try the pork quesadillas.

I have to admit, this is my go to Mexican restaurant. Ive never had anything that has even disappoints me in the slightest. I dont live the parking there at City Center but will put up with it to get my Caliente fix!

Really, really enjoyed the food here. (The crawfish enchiladas were incredibly tasty.) Staff was very friendly and considerate. Parking was a little limited, but this place is assuredly worth it.
