I dont know any other places in Houston that offers honey bread other than this place so I was really looking forward to visit this shop! (Class 502 in Bellaire used to have honey bread on their menu but unfortunately, it didnt sell out, so they removed it from their menu and went with the rolling ice cream, which is a major hit!) Anyway, I really love honey breads (other names are honey toast, brick toast, or Shibuya honey toast) ever since Ive eaten one in California. This dessert originated from Tokyo and became very popular in other Asian countries, and in California! The honey breads in Tokyo and California looks fancy and grandeur in comparison to the ones that are in Caffé Bene, but I thought thats fine because I just really want to eat a honey bread. So one Friday afternoon, my brother, his girlfriend, and I visited this place! The shop is really small but clean, cozy, and very pleasant to the eyes! The place looks really nice! There was only one customer there when we went in, but he also left the place after a few minutes, so we basically got the whole place for ourselves. My brother and his girlfriend ordered Misugaru Red Bean Ice Parfait and Tropical Sunrise drink. I ordered the Taro Bubble Tea and Banana & Walnut Honey Bread. After 5 minutes or so, we got our orders and I tasted the honey bread, right away! What a disappointment it was! I dont know if this is how the honey bread is prepared in Korea (where Caffé Bene originated) and that was how they taught them to prepare it, but it was a total joke! The bread that they used taste old and dry! Also, they didnt make that square cut at the center of that bread to pull that part out, and cut that part into cubes, etc. What they did instead was, they just cut the center top part twice vertically and twice diagonally. Warm it up, put a lot of honey, six big slices of bananas, and walnuts coated with powder at the top. They didnt even cut the bananas nicely! I think they forgot how it looks like in their fake display. The Misugaru Red Bean Ice Parfait was so-so and just full of ice. I think they should just rename it into "Shaved Ice" instead of "Ice Parfait" because its just basically shaved ice! The Tropical Sunrise basically tasted like an orange juice, nothing special. Taro Bubble Tea was decent, it was the only decent one! The food looks good... BUT the taste is another story.

Who skims out on chocolate on a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was $3 and it was mostly dough. The waffle and Gelato was a great choice. A single scoop of Gelato is $4 and the waffle is an added $2 so might as well. The mango and peach smoothie was good, a good balance of mango and peach. They were out of tapicao that day though and the bathroom was out of order also. There is only 1 person running the store. He takes the order, makes the coffee and clean up. So if there are 3 people on front of you expect to wait like 15 mins at least. Over probally wont come back, the place was too small and it was too pricy for the quality and there are others in the area too.

The staff is so nice! I was a new customer and struggled to decide what I wanted and the staff was extremely helpful and gave me a suggestion on what to order . I ordered a coffee frapp and a truffle chocolate gelato and it was delicious. Then I was on my way to the restroom with my stroller and one of the gentleman in the front I believe the manager open the doors for me and even when I left the store they waved and said to have a great day really made my Sunday evening experience one to remember thank you for your kind service . I will be coming back.

Atmosphere is very high end but this location isnt obvious. Very few chairs that I saw. I got an iced latte and a banana cream waffle. It was rather expensive so Im expecting their profit margin to be about %85-90. Coffee is good, menu is small, seating area is small. I might visit again for the coffee. The waffle was literally a small waffle with one banana cut up, canned whipped cream (how hard can it be to make whipped cream?), canned chocolate sauce, and canned caramel sauce. I dont think anything about my waffle was made in-house.

The blueberry danish was so so delicious! And although the squishy, sweet tapioca in my Thai tea was on point, the Thai milk tea itself was way too creamy. Because of the overcreaminess, it lost its unique flavor that makes this tea so amazing. Its a very cute place within GreenStreet but limited on seating. You could sit outside in the little covered patch of greenery, which is a good option when the weather is nice! Customer service is great too!

The place is really tasty but they dont listen. I recently ordered 2 Large Taro teas iced. I specifically told them LIGHT ice. I received to large cups filled with ice and very little tea. I posted a picture of how much ice was left 30 min later after I finished it. Whats the point of ordering and paying for large drinks if all I receive is 2 small drinks?! This is the second time this happened here at this location.

Cute coffee and dessert shop with quick, friendly staff. I typically go on weekends (so its not busy) and it has a nice atmosphere to write or study, and is near outdoor seating with a lovely fountain. Ive tried the coffee and gelato and both are pretty good, though prices are above average.

Popular South Korean cafe chain finally here in Houston! Their coffee tastes wayyy better than Starbucks and prices are cheaper. They also have cakes, pastries, gelato, smoothies, and bubble tea. Seating is a bit tight, but its a cute place to stop by for a dessert or afternoon coffee.

If you want REAL matcha latte, go here instead of Starbucks! I was so excited when I heated caffe bene opened in Houston. Its a really popular chain! Really love their green tea frappe. It is not sweet like the ones in Starbucks. Very authentic. Love love love!

The caramel macchiato was really good! I went there to study. I was able to plug-in my laptop and connect to the wi-fi. Th inside sitting is kind of small, but they have outside seating. Other people order food and it smell delicious.

New café and dessert shop in the heart of downtowns Green Street shopping and dining district. Cordial staff, european/industrial decor, tasty desserts and so-so music make this place a new asset to downtown.

Wonderful South Korean-styled coffee shop, complete with the monster south korean-sized deserts. Great place and a very friendly staff, for one of the few good downtown coffee options.

My friend and I always feel welcomed and the staff is very patient. Weve ordered something different every time we go and were never disappointed!
