I didnt have high expectations for this place as we just randomly stopped as we were driving by. I was so blown away by the level of quality and service we received. For the price you pay, they REALLY deliver on some extremely top notch dishes. They could easily charge double for the level of quality and taste they serve up. We ordered crab cakes, campechana, and fried shrimp. That was by far best shrimp Ive ever eaten. They just melt away like butter in your mouth, it almost made me cry. No other restaurant has come close on that. The crab cakes came on top of grilled sweet corn. Absolutely perfect! Great flavor and plenty of crab meat. We loved the campechana as well. The seasonings were delicious and there was plenty of seafood in it. While we were eating we were longingly watching all the other dishes that went out! Cant wait to go back and try more of their menu. This was the best chance visit to a restaurant Ive ever experienced! And thank you to the wonderful and friendly staff. They were on top of their game :) We loved our entire experience.

We arrived as a party of five, received a warm welcome, and waited just a couple of minutes while a table was prepared in a private room. (The restaurant was full.) We enjoyed two appetizers: calamari and bacon wrapped quail & shrimp "kisses." Our host had the salmon, our friends had the soft shell crab tacos and Caribean shrimp tacos, my wife had the fish and chips and I had the PEANUT BUTTER & JALAPEÑO sliders. YES! These are mini Angus burgers with pepper-jack cheese, jalapeños, apple-smoked bacon, and peanut butter. Think of the flavor enhancement peanut sauce adds to Thai or Vietnamese food. Every one at the table used the word "LOVE!" in the description of their plate. Atmosphere was comfortably elegant. And the service (Cody was our waiter.) was impeccable. My burger plate was $8. My wife and I may have found our new favorite restaurant in Galveston!

All I want to say is crab cake sliders!! I cant stress enough..crab cake sliders!! I havent had any crab cakes like these since I moved from Florida. Hands down in my top 3 best crab cake experiences in life!! The drinks were delish!! The bartender was not too familiar with my drink (French 76) but had no objections in looking it up and mastering it. Tasted amazing! My hubby ordered the strawberry vanilla martini...amazing as well. I can definitely say do not judge this book by its cover. If not for the reviews I would have driven right past it but the food was great and Misty was a doll. She needs a raise!! My husband and I just wanted to get away for a small daycation and drove from Houston/Spring area. Definitely glad we chose this spot, and we sat by the window so the blue, sparkling waters were a perfect backdrop! Will def be back!

Was recommended by a local to go eat at the Blvd. We thought the place was contemporary and bright. Food however just didnt taste good. Had the Chefs special and the Grouper was tough and over cooked. The masked potatos were tasteless (green color not appetizing). My wife ordered the filet and tasted fine. Was over cooked and had a mushroom cap on it that tasted rancid. The menu had a notation of 1855 next to the steaks description and the server didnt know why or what it meant. Apparently it comes from the 1855 ranch. We did enjoy the smoked salmon appetizer. We were offered a dessert for the experience and we choose the banana pudding which we would skip if we ever returned. The manager did end up taking off the steak once we didnt enjoy the dessert and as we left was very apologetic about the meal.

Awesome waiter, great food and drinks for happy hour......BUT!!!!!! We specifically wanted and asked to sit at the bar. My daughter & son in law had the day before and had an awesome experience. There were not 4 seats together at the bar and so we sat at a table. When we asked for the bread/olive oil that is served at the bar during happy hour the manager came over and told us that was only for bar patrons but we could pay for it. Remember ----- we WANTED to sit at the bar and told the hostess, bartender, and waiter. Customer service 101, right? We were also charged different prices for the same drinks on different days --- both during happy hour. Mark- our server, rocked it!

We went to this place only because of the star ratings it has here. Unfortunately they took about 45 minutes to serve our food (the restaurant did not look busy), and then we noticed that all tables but ours had a couple of bottle of water for refilling purposes, so we asked the waitress and only because of that she brought them for us. Then, when the food arrived it was not even hot since it was probalby standing for a while before it was picked up by her. And be aware that the portion sizes for this place are extremely small, so if you are really hungry, forget it, or at least be ready to eat two dishes which cost about $25 each. Not coming back, sorry.

I had the andouille redfish with blackened shrimp. It was good, but not spicy at all. Not if you are going to call it "nawlins". However, I tasted their gumbo and thought it was great. They have a laid back, casual atmosphere, which I liked, but they charge you upscale dining prices. For example, fried shrimp was $24, my redfish and shrimp was $27. If they are going to charge those prices, they need to remodel the place and improve the food quality. But still, the food was decent. I would rate them a 3.5.

We are local and just discovered this place. The food is made by Chef Mary and it all reflected the care and ingredients that went into the meal. We had apps and each one was professionally presented , full-filling, interesting and very yummy. No frozen or canned food here. Wonderful friendly service, great view of the ocean and Jazz music ambiance. I do not agree that the lighting is off~ as I found everything very inside pleasant and welcoming. My husband and I will be back as soon as we can.

Absolutely impeccable meal with top notch service! They made it easy to call ahead for reservations and we received joyful and helpful service for our whole party, which consisted of both small children and some rather discriminating foodies. The drinks were perfectly balanced. The food was five stars across the board - perfectly cooked and seasoned. Everyone raved about their meals. A true home run and much needed addition to the Sea Wall. This will be our Galveston go-to!

The shrimp and quail kiss were amazing. The different flavors blended well together and none were over powering. The staff was extremely friendly and want to make sure everyhting was good. The Chef even came out and talked to patrons. It does not look like much from the outside, but I let the food speak for itself. I will definately be back next time I am in Galveston. The fish and chips was good but what really made it was their homemade tartar sauce.
