When reading the other reviews here for Chef in Blue I thought it had been stuffed with friends reviews. Nevertheless I decided to treat my wife to her Favorite, Crepes ! The restaurant is next to Scotty Ps at the Preston road location, easy to find. A review of the menu demonstrates a wide variety of offerings, since we went there for crepes, crepes it was. Susan got her usual sweet tooth variety with strawberries and asked them to add blueberries which they obliged heartily. I chose the Southfork Crepe(Brinkman Ranch in Frisco is the model for Southfork) which included chicken , ham, spinach, red onions, chiles and two varieties of cheese and a Salsa Verde, to which I added two easy over eggs. The veggies were cooked al dente which gives the Crepe a very fresh appeal to the palate. In addition to what we had as available on the menu is Quiche, Paninis, soup, salads and sandwiches, grilled or fresh. There is an extensive Coffee Bar for expresso, cappuccino, lattes and American Coffee which we enjoyed. The weekends are busy but weekdays are not crowded , so the retired population should find this as a cheap flight of the imagination to a European experience. And did I mention Senior discount. I highly recommend this place and we are adding it as a "go to" place for us for breakfast and light lunches or dinner.

Our names are Jason & Katrina. We just returned from a fantastic trip to Paris, France celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary!! Today we were reminiscing the fabulous Paris memories and of course the french food ..... when we suddenly saw CHEF in BLUE CAFE & CREPERIE right here in our home town of Frisco, TX. To our surprise not only the cuisine was absolutely magnificent but, they even offer GLUTEN FREE Crepes and everything was absolutely delicious, flavorful and the service is very friendly and fast. The owners daughter and the owner came by our table and chatted with us about our travels. It felt like we were still on our Paris trip. Were so excited we found this little "Paris Gem" right here in our city of Frisco, TX!! We highly recommend it and well be back for sure <3 <3 Merci!!! J + K

Best place ever, so cozy, and so delicious the food. The owner was such an amazing person, to see him interact with the customer, come to us and see if everything was ok and had a little conversation, that on my opinion is priceless, when they owner/cook have a moment for their customers. My niece was amazed by watching how they make the crepes. As her first time I decided to introduce her to the sweets first, my mom got the Maya(not sweet) and my niece was eating from both since for her both were just so "yummy"(her words). We had an amazing time and we are definitely going back with more friends and family. Is totally worth it.

Ive rated this place on Yelp so its only fitting in put my two cents here. The crepes are fantastic. Try the Maya, it is by far my favorite. My wife and kids love the Frisco. Also, try the Nutella and strawberries crepe for dessert, good stuff. Theyre regular breakfast items are good but not exceptional. If youre going to a crepe restaurant and are disappointed with the omelette, then I think you missed the point. Lol. Try the crepes, you wont be disappointed.

What a tasteful, friendly, and peaceful breakfast experience we had at Chef in Blue Cafe and Crêperie! The crêpes had the best texture and each of us were fully satisfied with one crêpe each. The mocha was smooth and comforting. We know food and are adding this place to our monthly rotation. You will not regret giving this great local and family owned place a chance.

Great breakfast place! A lot of restaurants in Frisco can get pretty crowded around breakfast. But this place isnt too long of a wait. I usually get the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Its excellent! Ive also had the strawberry cheesecake crepe. It was great as well. Reason why its not 5 stars is service can be a little hit or miss.

The pictures of the food on this site and, even in the restaurant, dont do it justice. The crepes were so fresh, so light, so delicious and, did I mention? HUGE. The crepes are pictured on a 14 (?) inch dinner plate, so that may give you an idea how big these things are. Its a clean, casual place, definitely going back.

Amazing food and amazing service! ! They treat you like family. I tried the Maya crepe and the Apple cinnamon crepe. And my wife has had one of their salads. It was all great!! I was even given a really good espresso to try. I cant say enough good things about Chef in Blue! Will be definitely going back again!

I have been here a few times now; with friends and kids. I have tried a savory crepe and scramble and specialty coffee. They are super nice, clean and good food. My kids devoured their kids plates and Nutella crepe! Nothing you cant make at home, but thats not why you eat out- so the prices are perfect.

I had a nice lunch with my wifes family at Chef in Blue. The Maya crepe with chorizo and avocado was delicious. My in laws enjoyed their crepes as well, although my wife wasnt fond of her EuroVeggie crepe. The dessert crepes were very tasty. Overall recommended.

Excellent food! Crepes are fantastic. Veggie omelet is deceptively simple but outrageously good. Service is friendly but food can be a little slow to arrive. Honestly, it might bother me somewhere else, but here its worth the wait. Love this place.

Crepes are good but large. You wont need more than one! The coffee here is always excellent. I enjoy the mocha and the latte. The lunch choices are good as well. The paninis are so thin and super crispy. It is never too busy here either.

I love crepes. Something i got introduced to recently. I always eat their Euro Veggie and it is delish. Visit this place. This is probably going to be your best bet for Crepes in the Frisco/Richardson/Plano area.

They make very good omelets and the staff is friendly. The coffee (like some of their competitors) isnt anything to brag about but it is a caffeine fix. Quiet location and never seems to be packed.

My family enjoyed breakfast here. My husband enjoyed the spicy crepe dish, I really liked the toast with eggs, and my in-laws loved the Paninis. Good coffee selection, too.
