I have been to this restaurant a couple of times before it was ok, good enough for a casual take home food I thought. I ordered an order to go on my way home from work tonight. I gave them a 15 minute heads up when I was coming. When I got there I waited another 15 minutes with out explanation why I was sitting there. Finally someone came out with my food and told me because I had a different area code, from another state, they did not make my food. Yes I do have another area code, but I live here, I have no desire to change my number that Ive had since 2003... So I can order food and have it made for me when I order it. I was then asked again to pay for my food after I received it, I told her I have already paid, she proceeded to check that. Wow do I look like I am lying? I was wearing my hospital scrubs coming from a 12.5hr shift on Christmas Eve, while my husband and family are in a different state with out me. I leave, and get a phone call on my out of state phone number, letting me know they forgot my egg roll for me to come back and get it. By that time I was already peeved and said I dont want the egg roll any more. When I got home and had my food I thought it was bland and greasy. I will not be coming back here again.

Very disappointed. Talked family into trying this place as it used to be a favorite of mine when I lived in the area. I was shocked and embarrassed when all 3 orders of Orange Chicken had issues with gristly pieces all throughout. We were all pulling bites from our mouths unable to eat majority of the chicken. Sooo embarrassed to have recommended the place. I eventually couldnt take it & i called to ask if they had started ordering their products somewhere new or if a new chef was the cause...but their response was to tell Me to next time order the chicken to be cooked "more soft" -which they meant "tender". The meat Was tender, when not mixed with all the gristle! Tons of inedible bites due to this alone which clearly points to lown quality chicken. Not worth $40+ for 3 orders of inedible food....definitely not the place I remember. It seems Ill have to find a new fav. I can recommend to others~as this was embarrassing.

Ive been eating at Hunan Wok since 1980s and was hooked from the beginning. Chinese is my favorite cuisine even though Im Pure Texan! Where ever I travel or live ALL Chinese food is compared to Hunan Wok! Very few have come close but none compare to or, exceed the flavor and quality of Hunan Wok. The staff is friendly and attentive, with a warm smile to greet you. Ive watched a whole generation come and go at the restaurant, but not the uncompromising flavor and quality of food and service. Yes the restaurant could use some updating but Ive eaten at lots of Chinese restaurants whos decor was new and, beautiful only to be disappointed by the food. I would rather have a clean restaurant and staff, who is both attentive and kind with great food ANY DAY! Prices are very reasonable as well. I pity those who have not found this jewel.

Nice people, absolutely horrible food! Ordered schezuan Chicken, crab rangoon, spicy duck, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. I was looking forward to a good family meal at home in front of the t.v. I thought the majority of reviews being well, meant that this was a good place. Wrong! Every single bad review that was on here is true and I only hope that I dont get food poisoning from the little bit of each dish I tried. Extreme greasy, poured on with heavy sauce but somehow still extremely bland. The egg rolls are just stuffed with cabbage. The vegetables may have been spoiled or cooked much earlier in the day. I could go on. I spent 40 dollars on everything which was small to go sized portions by the way.

Linda Lin....Todays experience was terrible! Im furious! Ive been here one time before today and the food was great but today I ordered sweet and sour chicken and egg foo yung the chicken was cooked so hard it was hardly any chicken in the pieces I spoke with a lady named Sofia and her customer service was awful! On top of that I spent $72.00 on my order today. I wont ever come back here all I asked Sofia was to please take my name down the next time I come in and I could get a replacement. She would not agree to it. On top of that Ive been in the restraunt business for 6 years. Your always suppose to do your best to resolve any issue with the customer. Sofia should be sent home!!

Ive been getting delivery from Hunan Wok for the past year now (3.9 miles away). That ended today when two different people were too close minded to listen to my full address. They cut me off and asked, "What city?" As soon as I said Hurst, everything was no, no, no. No delivery to Hurst. I tried to explain that they have delivered to my house in the past, but... "I been here 28 year; I know where we delivery!" Then he said thank you and hung up on me. I guess Ill be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Also, they like to go heavy on the vegetables, and skimp on the meat. So if you REALLY like broccoli and only want four pieces of meat, go with the broccoli beef.

They asked me if I wanted the dinner sized servings with my orange chicken and sesame chicken, I said yes, when it was delivered the guy delivering walked right inside my apartment when I opened the door, didnt have change so I had to tip him five bucks instead of 3, there was 5 tiny tiny pieces of broccoli, I called to express my frustration and the lady argued that it doesnt come with vegetables, told me no Chinese place serves vegetables with these `entries, she had a bad attitude, she is the main reason I am leaving this review, that and it scares me that my food arrived , 12 minutes after I ordered it.

This was the worst Chinese food I have had since Ive been in Texas and I have lived here for 4 years now. Nothing tastes like it was supposed to. We got sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken very simple Chinese food and Im still trying to figure out what those flavors were because they were not those. The fried rice had no flavor how do you mess up fried rice and part of the rice was hard. It was just horrible! There was nothing about it that was even decent. I will not be back and do not advise anybody else to go if they want Chinese food that taste good!

I have been to this place many times, its addicting.Any bad reviews posted here are by people who enjoy McDonalds. The best I have eatin all over this country. Wife eats cashew chicken without fail. She has a yearning to try other things on the menu, but cant bring herself to go here and leave without eating cashew chicken. Wonton soup with egg roll is fantastic. I have tried multiple dishes and none have ever disappointed me. Always more than I can eat at one sitting, so lunch is no problem. Service has always been great.
