My wife and I have been faithful Okazuri visitors for about three years. We thought it would be nice to go to Okazuri this Valentines day and decided to sit outside since the weather was pleasant. Our drinks were prompt but my tea had grinds covering the bottom and I asked for a replacement. The next tea that was brought out was very weak. It looked and tasted like tap water and only had the slightest color of yellow to it. My wife ordered a mixed drink from that came in a nice glass that still had the purchase sticker attached and she said she thought it tasted watery. Victoria was quick to place our orders but left the menus at the table. Our sushi came out at the usual speed of about ten minutes. What was odd at this point is that the only things on the table were the two drinks, our rolls, and the menus still at the table. Victoria asked us if we needed anything else. We asked for wasabi, soy sauce, chop sticks, napkins, and sweetener for the water tea. She did apologize and said she would come with those items and didnt return for about five minutes. She did bring everything that time, and then my wife asked her if the sushi rolls still came with miso soup. Victoria apologized, saying that they do still come with miso soup, and said she would get it right away. When she came back to the table, she apologized again and said that the delay was because they were making a fresh batch; however, our soup was barely warm where it is usually hot. We thought it was odd that freshly made soup would be almost cold straight from the pot. We have had excellent service at this restaurant in the past and we will attempt another visit in the future. When I review a restaurant I usually just do so with a star rating. I felt encouraged to write this in hopes that a manager or some sort of supervisor would be aware of the quality of service we received.

The Miso soup was nearly perfect - best Ive had in years. I was very disappointed to see fake crab pieces on my combination Nigiri plate. The huge octopus slices were a bit tough, but I expected baby octopus. Otherwise, very fresh, and made to order. Large sushi pieces. Im not sure thats Kikkoman soy sauce in their Kikkoman branded dispensers. Its a LOT saltier than any Kikkoman Ive ever tasted. My guess is its a cheaper imitation, and they dont think we can taste the difference. Their iced tea was good and dark. Good friendly service, but it was nearly empty (between meals) when I was there. OK atmosphere, a bit small inside, and Spanish music playing vs. anything Japanese. Prices are about normal. They have a $4 Sunday wing special, but Im not sure what is included. Two TVs in the dining area, both were set on mid-day sitcom re-runs at the time.

I have been to this establishment over 10 times due to the fact it is just around the corner from my house. Usually I order the same thing, a spicy tuna roll and a vegas roll to go. The sushi has never been amazing, especially for the price, and the service almost always is way below par, however again the location is perfect for me. My last time there my order was wrong, I spoke with the manager and she said it would be comped on my next visit, however on my next visit there was no recored of my order and the manager was unavailable to speak. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 9 years and this is by far the worst management I have ever seen. DO NOT GO HERE, ITS NOT WORTH IT.

Time and time again we have gone here hoping for a better experience than the last and every time we have been utterly disappointed. The service is horrible every time no matter what time or day we have gone. This specific time we went, we had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. ALL of it. They didnt bring out the miso soup first, and then the appetizer and then the entree. They brought us EVERYTHING at the same time. The miso soup was lukewarm, the calamari was mediocre and there was almost nothing in the bowl, and the sushi rolls were considerably smaller than they shouldve been. Safe to say I will NEVER be coming back. The west side Okazuri is so much better in every aspect.

Food is good, but good luck getting them to deliver. The food was excellent when my wife and I ate there, so we took a delivery menu with us when we left. A couple weeks later I called in for deilvery. All I could hear on the other end was their stereo, I had to repeat most of my order two or three times, and the person who answered to phone waited until I had completed my order to inform me that they were not delivering that evening. Experiences like that can turn someone off to an establishment if it happens even once. Why would you advertise that you deliver if you dont?

I went here with my wife and it was horrible. I was concerned immediately when I saw three young men behind the sushi counter, and rightly so. They use twice as much rice as is needed on their nigiri, with fish sliced thin as paper. While we are in El Paso, I have had fresh fish...not here. You could tell it was aged and frozen a few times. My wifes California roll was like a salt lick. She also had a specialty roll with a quarter inch of cream cheese on it, far too much. Ive eaten sushi regularly for six years all across the US and this was by far the worst Ive had.

We order to go 3 California rolls 1 spicy tuna and the fish soup with octopus. Horrible the rolls were just rice they barely had any fish and had a funky flavor. The soup omg it just tasted like hot water and sea food no flavor at all I had to add my own seasoning because it was flavorless. Ive gone to this place in person to dine in and everything was great in the restaurant but to go youve been warned youll ask for sushi and receive a bunch or rolled rice. To top it off it was more than $40

Awesome environment, whether you want to just come in and enjoy great sushi, or just have some wine with that special someone. I love it here, from the set up of the restaurant to the food, A+++. Its small, but not noisy or annoying like some small restaurants, and its not your typical sushi place, its very modern, but never forgetting of that sushi culture. They also have a tv, and usually they are showing whatever is happening on that day. I recommend this place to anyone, of any age...

More rice in the freaking nasty rolls than there was any crab meat or salmon. Your sushi chef sucks straight out! Whatever the heck he made was not the rainbow roll you guys advertise. You guys put way to much rice, idk if its something that the owner wants done, but more rice on the roll than what the actual amount of seafood that is suppose to be inside, is not a sushi roll ! 05/23/2016, 8:00pm.

Okazuri is a great sushi bar! It has a mod type atmosphere making it especially inviting to the younger crowd! They have a great special on Monday where every roll is only $6!! The only downside is the staff! HORRIBLE service in my opnion, I have to ask to get a refill and it took at one point more than 45 minutes to get Miso Soup!
