The place offers great events most of the time but it seems kind of run down and shabby. I recently went there to watch a local band and saw they moved things around a bit since I was last there and it looked a little better. My biggest quip is that its a cash only bar. They do have an atm, but it sucks to get charged an entry fee and have to get an atm fee on top of that just to get some money for alcohol.

Very cool, very old. Great prices and great service. The bartender was friendly in letting us know what the place was about. As someone has already said there was a cover, there was also a band though...hints the cover..? Anyhow, bathrooms werent great but the whole pace is hundreds of years old. Filled with friendly locals. We love the south-west for that reason

Recently had a complete overhaul inside.. roof is supported strongly. Walls retextured, tvs updated. They did it properly! Well done guys. Outside still keeps the feel of a 100+yrs old bar. One of the last "dives" in Cruces. A valued Gem I still frequent in Mesilla for the past 15 years!

This place is historic and perfectly located. Seen a friend do a comedy show here, and it was great. The place was cash only, but has an ATM on site. Really simple place. Definitely going back, and im sure the stars will increase with more experience.

The most worst bar I have ever been to, we paid $30.00 in cover charge to walk in as the band was walking out at 10:00 pm .
