Ive always been a fan of Red Lobster, so its almost an annual tradition to eat there on my birthday. Weve been doing it for over a decade, though not always at the same location. This year, we decided to all meet up at the new Denton location (after they moved across the highway). While it was certainly a nice atmosphere, I would have taken us elsewhere if I knew how they were going to handle our party. After realizing we were going to have a party of 8, we decided to call ahead and warn the restaurant in the form of a reservation. We were told that they do not reserve tables. Really? I can understand not wanting to hold a table for 3 or 4, but EIGHT? How many eight-seat tables can you possibly have ready at a moments notice? We were told that if we arrived early for dinner, there should be no problem seating us quickly. We took the advice, showed up shortly after 5 (planning to have everyone show up at 5:30), only to see a parking lot almost filled to the brim. Sure enough, we get inside, explain were a party of 8, and told that the wait will be 30 to 45 minutes. Delightful. Thankfully, two more large parties walked in the door shortly after us, and the hostesses and manager began to panic with all of the people crowding the front door. They decided to put something together for us, which was nice...but the end result was a collection of tables pushed together in the bar. Granted, it served the purpose, but being 6 feet away from the clanging of glass and silverware at the bar (and connected kitchen) doesnt really help the dining experience. The service was good, with two waitresses helping us (one appeared to be training, but still good). The food was brought out in acceptable time, and a goof on our appetizer got us one extra for free. Everything tasted great, which almost made us forget about the seating problems. When asked for dessert, my sister mentioned it was my birthday, and we were quickly told that they dont do birthday desserts anymore, but we could get a deal if bought multiple desserts...what? At that point, we were ready to leave. All in all, the restaurant isnt terrible. Its still all the seafood you could ever ask for in a nice, updated location. Im sure the average family heading out for a seafood dinner wont have any of the same problems, but special parties of larger size should be forewarned; dont expect too much effort to go into making your group feel that welcome.

What is it about this place that profiles the ppl that go there? Came here a year ago and we were ignored my our server then, came again withy daughter to have a dinner date and again our server paid more attention to other tables than to us. I tried to brush it off as being hungery and cranky but the table that came in 20 min after us got their food first and that didnt sit right with me. I found out about lobster fest by the server explaining it to the older couple next to us. When i asked for the manager to voice my frustration, another manager came over and expressed his concern. I asked for my check that we had been waiting for and the server spoke to the manager loudly enough saying thatwe were trying to just get a free meal. By then i had had enough. I stood up and confronted him and he got upset until the manager asked him to step back. What kind of people are they hiring? Ive been a server, its not easy but if you treat everyone with respect and equal then thats the basis of customer service! I may not look like a rich old lady but you do not judge anyone by their appearance. Needless to say my dinner date with my daughter was ruined and we didnt even try to take a box home. The manager was nice enough to walk us out and offered me a gift card but after being accused of being there to get a freebie, i have more respect for myself than that. We will never be going to any red lobster again. This experience really hurt my heart and i wish this had not happened. The manager really was nice but id rather take my money somewhere else.

A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Last night was my wifes birthday and she wanted Red Lobster. At 7pm the parking lot was almost empty (should have been a sign). After being seated and waiting for 10 minutes, seeing waiters walking around and having NO ONE talk to us, I went to find the manager. When we finally got a waiter, he was rude and did not care at all. The food was horrible. I ate 3 bites of my flounder, and my wife had maybe 5 popcorn shrimp. No drink refills, no offer for dessert, nothing. The waiter simply brought our check. The manager decided to "only" charge us for the popcorn shrimp because, and I quote "you ate a fair amount." Really? Apparently $14 was that important. This place is pathetic and we will NEVER eat here again. Why even bother keeping the doors open if you are not going to provide a decent experience?

Went here on veterans day. Mom celebrated her birthday here with me and my brother and sister- in-law. We had a really great time among ourselves but also our waitress and the head waitress and the manager were all great fun. The food was very good. Everyone was very pleased with all the foods we ordered. The place was nearly packed even at 2 in the afternoon. They had a special going on for the veterans that we had no previous knowledge of but since there were veterans in our group we were pleased. Choice of free appetizer or free dessert. We chose appetizer because we were sure we would have no room for dessert. Great time and food. Do recommend.

We made a reservation at this Red Lobster for 6 oclock and were kindly greeted and seated before 6 (impressive for a busy Friday night). We were waited on right as we sat down and received our beverages before we got a chance to even looked at the menus. Our waitress was extremely nice and brought our food out quickly, making sure everything was as ordered! Two of the managers generously came to check up on us and make sure that our meals tasted good! The atmosphere was peaceful, the waiters were superb, the food was awesome, and the experience was amazing! Thank you Red Lobster! Highly recommended.

Red lobster, I suppose, is an antiquated establishment in theme and menu. Food is over priced, portions are small for the average nature of dish quality and appetizers/desserts are lackluster so there is no incentive to try them. The most special thing about this location is the service. The first date my wife and I had three years ago was at this particular red lobster and we stayed well past closing with staff members patiently wrapping up around us and meeting all of our needs. We return on the anniversary of our first date each year just to reminisce.

Christine my waitress was wonderful. The food was good. The restaurant was clean and had a positive inviting atmosphere. It took longer than expected to get our meal, but before I could think to complain I was given an apology and a free salad while I waited. The Lobster punch was good. We did not get our meal since it took so long because of a mix up and we had other obligations. However, our waitress and the manager took care of everything with a smile. We will definitely give them another try. The people and the service were great.
