I will not eat from this restaurant again and wont recommend it to anyone. I traveled to India, have eaten Indian food everyday for months, and the food here is definitely not Indian food. Given the lack of quality, the cost is way to high. I ordered almost $100 worth of food and could not enjoy any of the dishes. Here were the dishes I tried: 1). The samosa was horrible, tasted nothing like Indian samosa, just like deep fried Chinese food. The dough was not fully cooked; the stuffing tasted like smash potato; the the sauce looked neo-green, too much food coloring! 2). The lamb chili tasted nothing like Indian food either, more like Chinese spicy sweet and sour dish with too much vinegar and food coloring. It was the worst case of imitation of Indian food. 3). (Chicken) Coconut Masala: this was not masala at any stretch. It did not taste like masala, at best, a water down curry with coconut flakes. 4). Dhall Makhani: this was lentil soup but definitely not Indian black lentil soup. The beans in the soup was not fully cooked. Tomatoes cubes were chunky and raw. The worst lentil soup I have ever had. 5). Last but not least, the basmati rice included in the order had a hint of water down Indian spice taste to it, but nowhere aromatic and tasteful. What a total disappointment.

We were looking for an indian restaurant that was close to home and a quick search found Shivas. It was literally 10 minutes from home. We came on a frigid night here in Dallas(23 degrees) and found parking behind the bldg. They werent busy when we arrived and we got a good table up front. Seat to greet was a bit slow, we got our drink orders and ordered some samosas too. Place wasnt busy but it seemed like things were moving slowly. Our drinks arrived then our samosas showed up. 2 large golden meat filled samosas appeared and they were excellent. We place our food order and close to 15 minutes later our food arrived. We ordered the Tiika Masala and the lamb Saag with some peas palau. It was all very good. We wanted some more rice and naan, and requested some but it never made it out to us. They have a good wine list and some decent beers to choose from too. Id definitely recommend this place but the service wasnt stellar. We had 3-4 different people taking care of us and sometimes it was an eternity before we saw any of the servers. Well go back and hope they have better service because it doesnt get any more convenient than Shivas.

My husband and I love this restaurant. It is the best Indian food in Dallas. My husband always wants the hottest vindaloo they can make. On a scale of 1 to 10, he asks for a 15! He is never disappointed. I love the yellow lentil soup, the Keema Samosas and the Rogan Josh Lamb Curry. The Garlic Naan is divine - thin and crispy. If you want something a little sweet, try the Peshwari Naan. Everything Ive eaten here has been wonderful. We eat here almost every week.

My wife and I had our 1st anniversary here on a Monday night. We shared the Hyderabadi Biryani, and were VERY impressed. Weve spent 7 months total in India and this is the best biryani weve had stateside. They even had Kingfisher on draft! The only negative was that it seemed a little understaffed. One waiter for 6 or more tables. But even still they got our food out at a reasonable time. And the chai we ordered wasnt up to Indian par. Definitely worth going to.

The hosts where fantastic and attentive, I have to do a shout out to LO-DASH your guys food is excellent. They layer in heat and flavor to there food so well I was drawn back to my first time trying Indian cuisine when I was a boy. To me that is good food.

Completely awesome. Such a great oasis in the middle of Lower Greenville on a busy Friday night. I forgot my coat and literally while I was walking back down the street the server was out in front of the restaurant holding it, looking for me.

This was the best Indian Cuisine I have had in Texas. I am sending a meal to my son in college for his birthday fed ex because the food was so good. The restaurant is family owned and the service was wonderful. Very inviting atmosphere.

Excellent Indian food! Each dish prepared when ordered to your desired heat level. The owner is onsite and makes sure everything is to your satisfaction. Great indian beers on tap. The best Indian restaurant in DFW in my opinion.

A solid spot for Indian food in Lower Greenville. Their non-veg dishes are fantastic and hearty (chicken and lamb in particular are great), and their appetizers are classic - try the sampler plate for a little of everything.

Came here for the new brunch buffet and mimosas menu. The food was amazing with a wide variety. From chicken and waffles to chicken biryani. Theyre really generous on the mimosas haha!

Really good for tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala. I would also recommend the chicken tikka (no masala). Oh and definitely get the garlic naan. Really good place.

Unique Indian dishes with actual spice. The wait staff are not very attentive but I know the owners are trying to get them up to par. The food is always on point.
