My family had been coming to India Palace since my daughter was in kindergarten, and it always had wonderful food at a reasonable price. As my daughter grew older, she loved to watch them make naan through the window they used to have, and they would give her one as a treat. Fast forward some years: while the food is still good, service is super slow. They redecorated and the little window is gone; it is not what one would consider child-friendly anymore. The decor is more upscale and seemed to my husband and me that they are trying to go for the date night crowd or the more hoity-toity customer. Prices have gone through the roof, and just arent justified by the food. A $10 entree now costs $17, ridiculous when you consider the protein (i.e. expensive) part of the dishes is rather small. I doubt the cost of rice and spices have increased enough to account for the rise in price. The final disappointment: the time prior to my last visit, I was able to get a pot of tea after dinner. The last time I ordered hot tea, I was brought a tea bag and some hot water. Just an insult. Once upon a time, the manager (maybe he was the owner?) used to always be there and come around to greet each table. He knew us and my daughter by sight. I havent seen him in a while. Perhaps that change explains the unwelcome direction the restaurant has taken. So sad. After our last visit, we decided it would truly be "our last visit".

My boyfriend and I dined here on 8/19. The layout is well conceived and the low, moody lighting was appreciated. The booths were comfy and the whole restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive and took excellent care of us. The onion bhaji appetizer was so good, we couldve made a meal out of it: Crunchy, savory, spiced patties served with earthy, tangy dipping sauces! Ive committed to learning how to make them. The lamb curry was spicy and packed with flavor. The Tandoori chicken was moist and the caramelized onions and acidity from the lemon wedges took it to a whole new level. The kadhai paneer was one of the most satisfying vegetarian dishes yet, and was balanced and exciting. The garlic naan was the perfect complement to our meal (and was mega garlicky). Even the rice was perfectly cooked! Id definitely go back. It was worth the price. They use quality ingredients and clearly take a lot of pride in their food.

Worst and Racist restaurant. Been there with office team. Waitress were serving and being around table with WHITE people. When we ask to provide something, the answer was "it is rush hour, all are busy, please wait". But, 3 attendants were just concentrating on one table having WHITE customer, checking if they have everything they need. And we were just ignored. Another incident. Waiter delights WHITE people. We (myself, wife and small kid) were asked to wait outside until the table is allocated, Meanwhile, two WHITE men came in. They didnt have booking/reservation, (I specifically asked those two men) and the lady at front desk welcomed them and took them inside. Will pay ten times more in other Restaurant, but will never go to this kind of Racist one.

I eat at Indian restaurants all over the US and Europe, and this one was fairly average. The decor is warm and modern, definitely above average. The service was friendly enough and attentive. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, naan and aloo paratha. The chicken seemed to be kebab cubes with sauce poured over rather than being sincere and cooked in the sauce. The aloo gobi had a nice sour flavor and a perfect amount of heat. The naan seemed reheated but the aloo parantha was fresh and well prepared. We ventured for dessert with the mango pudding - big mistake. The pudding had an artificial color, only the slightest hint of mango, and was poured over canned fruit cocktail. All in all, it was an acceptable meal with a few big miscues.

DO NOT GO TO WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS PLACE. Excessively high price dishes! 10 nugget size (or smaller) cubes of chicken pieces in a spicy curry that came with a small bowl of rice cost $17 (compare Chinese orange chicken or any chicken dish that has three times more meat and veg plus rice or fried rice, only for $10.99, Red lobster platter $17 with unlimited biscuits, salad, two side dishes and 3 times more fish and chicken for $16.99). They charged $4 per one nan like bread with a thin layer of mash potato and few pieces of peas. Besides, they forgot to put salt in this Nan. Strangely enough, they managed to advertise 5 stars in a famous Magazine and made people misguided to go there and loose their money. .

It pains me to write this because I have always enjoyed India Palaces food. I went in to this restaurant about a month a go and was seated after waiting about 15 minutes. No biggie. I was seated and told to go ahead and grab a plate with food and a waiter would be buy shortly for my drink. I sat down to eat and realized I had flushed an entire player of food and no on had come by for a drink order. I returns for another plate a food and the same process of neglection occurred. I went to the greeting counter to talk to the manager (and ask for my bill), and she simply told me she would talk to the waiters. I sat there for 35 minutes, and she couldnt comp anything. Thats poor management in my opinion.

I had been walking past this place for awhile and I didnt even know it was there! I finally convinced my friends to have dinner there with me last week and Im so glad we stopped in. The food is delicious and so authentic! We had the Chicken Masala which is amazing, the garbanzos, potatoes, and the lamb. All of their curries are so good! We want to go back for lunch because its a buffet and its only $10.85! You can order for delivery or pickup too! If you like Indian food this is the place in Dallas you must check out. Intimate setting with Indian music and programming.

Good, and can recommend. I am redneck Texan, but who likes to try new foods. My first dinner with an Indian food fan, and it was very good. Chicken Tikka Marsala is what we had decided would be going for, and it was very good. But it was the Lamb Korma which stole show for me. Did appetizer plate, with grilled chicken tandoor being the best. Service was good, and quick, and ambiance was a bit more modern and refreshing (as I was expecting a 70s dark curtain vibe.) I cant give a 5-star, as I have not done enough.

Very ordinary and predictable food you get in the Indian buffets all over US - beans, potatoes, colored and obviously very old chicken dishes, packaged naans/ breads, out of box desserts. The cooks also are not Indians but Hispanics. No offense but that does make a difference in the preparation I think Being Indian I feel really sad and homesick when I end up eating such sub standard Indian food outside India. I usually try other cuisines. At least I dont know that I am being cheated. Décor and service is not bad
