Title might look a bit offensive, but thats the most decent title I could write for this place. I have been visiting this place for past two months and I feel that their quality is on decline. I had taken papri chaat a few weeks back and found the papris to be stale. Taste of aged oil was ruining the taste. I thought it might be one off mistake, so decided to have dinner at this place tonight. We ordered Keema Mutter and Shrimp Curry, from the specials for the day (specials.. eh?). Looked as if they just boiled everything and put in front of us, for there was no taste in anything. We had to pour black pepper and salt in considerable amounts to make it a bit eatable. I dont think I cook very good, but I am confident that I can cook much better than the person who cooked those dishes. Speaking about cleanliness and staff, no problems with that, but food.... yukk.. Disappointed second time, I dont think I am going to visit this place ever again.

The food was decent, Ill give them that, but the experience was so terrible I will definitely not return. I was prepared for a decent wait based on the reviews, but I was not prepared to wait an hour and fifteen minutes. After 45 minutes or so I went up the counter (and mind you, the friend I went with had already gotten food and almost finished by this point) and was *assured* it was just about done. I sat back down and it became clear that the order was never placed. After waiting for quite a bit longer, I finally got up to demand a refund and leave (since my company was done eating anyway), but of course as soon as I do they bring the food out, so I ate it in quiet anger (its hard to stand up for yourself when youre hungry). They were not apologetic and did not offer any compensation. Avoid this place and go to Vindhu down the street. Same price but you get a buffet instead of a la carte.

I HAVE BEEN INSULTED IN THIS RESTAURANT JUST BY ASKING ONE SPOON. Any restaurant, no matter how delicious food they are providing, What taste you will feel, If their staff or server rude, stupid, idiot and crazy? just for one spoon. I got same experience tonight 09/13/2014 with one silly server who wears yellow jewelry . on my way i ordered Samosa Chat by phone, she told me i can pickup in 15-20 min. When i got there after 20 min, it wasnt ready. No problem, i dont have problem to wait. But when she was giving me food she didnt put spoon or napkin in bag, she did before also same thing. She did my insult middle of there customers by talking bullshit and by arguing with me. I really didnt feel good and i left from there as soon possible. This is my first my first experience for spoon in earth, i am not sure what Aliens does in outside planet.

One of the worst restaurant in Plano , I am an avid and hardcore lover of North Indian food and pretty much have decent taste bud. The dishes are overly priced for the quantity they give . This restaurant is meant for Americans rather than Indians . We ordered Garlic naan, Paneer tikka masala and Gobi manchurian and to my surprise garlic naan came as starter , disgusting !!! When we asked the waiter about this , we were shown the menu. This itself shows that they dont know what to serve when, leave apart the taste of the food. The waiter was continuously talking on the phone while taking the instructions , this is a general problem with the restaurants in DFW, so it never bothered me . will never visit this restaurant even when everything in Plano is shutdown :) , overall a bad choice :(

I ordered a Goat & a Lamb Biryani for carryout, and what I got was total crap!! Firstly, when I went to pick up my order, they had a thievish look on their faces because they knew what they were delivering!! The Biryani was not even close to what Biryani tastes like!! Seemed like they simply added curry to the rice. The preparation was dry, & they used the identical crap rice preparation for both the lamb & the chicken biryani! Oh! BTW...the lamb & the chicken were hardly visible! The chicken was smelly. Even my 12 year old son remarked looking at the biryani, "Is this biryani!! Looks like rice & curry to me"! India Chaat Cafe stop fooling people. Your biryani prepartion was a complete joke!!!

This place has a new owners who take pride in the quality of food and service. Very clean and pleasent enviroment. Dont make a mistake of judging it by the old owners or menu/service. He has the BEST DESI PIZZA in town. It is far more superior then any American Franchise barnd pizza. If you like spicy pizza without tons of cheese, then this is it. I think his indian/desi pizza is a award winning pizza. So far I have taken 4 different people there and they all love it. Price is the best in town for so many toppings. If you want tons of cheese thicjk base and american common brand taste, then do not bother and go to a francise brand..

The worst food and service I ever had. First of all they serve you stale meat and when you bring that to their notice, they come back to you telling that they cannot change it. I mean, you could have acknowledged the issue and addressed it. After all you are in service industry. And to top it all the waiters and waitress were really rude in responding in a way that they dont give a f**k about thier customers and they really dont care for your feedback apparently (according to the person behind the counter when we were complaining). Never going there again. NEVER EVER. Would advise my friends the same.

We go to this restaurant on a regular basis. I have never found the service to be lacking and they have always been helpful on menu selections. My husband and I dont like spicy food but even if it is a little spicy I will eat all of my butter chicken every time because the food is wonderful! Very cost effective. The cost is inexpensive (less than $10 a plate) and the quantity and quality are worth every penny. The decor is enjoyable and the people that come to eat there are so different and interesting. Go check it out. It might not be for you but its a fun experience.

Terrible!! We ordered Okra curry among other items. The Okra was chewy / not tender. Most like frozen stuff cooked up. We let the waiter (who was also the order taker & table cleaner). He gave a perplexed look, told me he would let the chef know. Did not say sorry, offer to bring a replacement dish or anything. Behl Puri was sub-par too. I was curious if he would charge me (I had an open tab to settle later) for the Okra dish. He did. I just paid it all given this guy wasnt empowered to make any decisions. Service overall was poor too.

I was really sad when I saw the closed sign, as this is the closest Indian restaurant to my job. However, the new owners remodeled the place and reopened the restaurant. Ive tried several curries here and love them. They have the hottest vindaloo I have tried in the DFW area. And that naan...You can tell its made when you order your meal. The only thing I wish they would do differently is divide the naan and rice in their lunches - as I love to mix my rice with my curry and just have to have that naan on the side.
