I can only describe it as AWESOME. Its a dumpy place in a dumpy part of town, but well worth the drive. I had the rib basket and my gf had an old fashioned cheesburger. Both were delicious. It was a very enjoyable lunch sitting under the covered patio eating good food and drinking happy hour Lone Stars for $2.25. Wendy was a great waitress! Very charming and very attentive to every need and want. While you are in the neighborhood, make sure to stop at Daiquiri to go for the best stiff drink served through a drive through window. Also make sure you stop at Fuel City for a taco and the BEST elotes.

Good food. Decent prices. Loved the sausage. Ribs were par for a BBQ joint. Im not a huge fan of their BBQ sauce. Waitresses are helpful and friendly. It has that great "hole in the wall" feel to it. Owner is Greek, I believe. They have several Greek options on the menu (I asked why, because that seemed random). Apparently the gyros and Greek food are great.

I ordered a combo sliced beef and sausage plate. Meat was cold, fries were cold and the corn had a tangy taste, the plate was supposed to come with Texas toast, it wasnt in the order. For $12.00 I should have gone to Fuel City just down the street and gotten fresh hot tacos made to order and saved $6.00. Hickory House Barbecue SUCKS

My coworkers and I eat there often and its delicious! The service is fantastic, the prices are fair and the portion is really good. I always get the chopped beef sandwich and it never fails. Lastly they offer extra sauce for free! Best hole in the wall hands down.

Great Food! I have not once been dissapointed with their menu items. They have amazing Country and Greek food. I come here almost everyday for lunch. The Waitresses and Cooks are very nice and curtious people. They make me feel very welcome.

The staff was amazing, the wait was fast..I stopped on my way out of town and they were very gracious towards me... not mention the brisket was off the wall amazing.. I will be coming back and telling my family and friends about this place!!

The 2 ribs that we got on the rib basket were ok...not the worst...not the best. It came with fries that were under cooked onion pieces, pepper and slice of bread. Almost 10$, online menu had a much different price. Good for something quick

Id been driving past this place for years. Stopped in yesterday with friends for lunch and it was great. I had the ribs they had the pulled pork plate. Sides and all were stand outs. What ever you order get the french fries to go along!!!

Went with a few colleagues who hadnt spent much time in Texas here, and we all loved it. As a native Texan, Im not easily impressed but they had good brisket and great fried okra. The staff and other patrons were very nice!
