I am from Kansas City Missouri and have lived in Dallas for 3 years. Im all about good meat and Barbecue is my favorite type of food so i know good barbecue when i get it. I was impressed with Winners quality of food. Finally got the good seasoning and my preferred style of potatoe salad and baked beans... I have searched North and South Dallas for 3 years. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for the quantity recieved when attempting to feed a family...or simply just me and my husband. I love the sliced brisket (best ever) but the quantity is minimal and not worth the purchase if you want to spend less than $30.00. Also, im used to Gates and Oklahoma Joes in KC so again, i feel like I am receiving kids portions when i get these little slices of sausage in a container. Should consider slicing it down the middle for a better hearty appearance to a true "foodie." Im only 125 pds but i could not come here if really hungry for a hearty serving of ribs and brisket which i eat weekly. I will continue to slide in when I am solo and want to curve my craving for good BBQ. Winners is #1 so far but still searching for fulfillment. I want meat not a baked potato!

I am all for family run businesses and support them over big name restaurants. So, I had high expectations for my first visit to winners bbq based on the many positive reviews. My first impression walking in. Dirty tables and dirty floors. I will agree the brisket I ordered was great. Very tender and juicy. Unfortunately within 30 minutes of eating. I was looking for the nearest restroom. I blame the lack of or no food safety training for the employees. The young ladies up front were simultaneously handling money, food orders, busing tables, emptying trash cans and on their phones without washing their hands. Back to my first impression about the dirty tables and floors. I can only imagine what the food prep area in back looked like. The heavy set fellow bringing out the orders from the back was clearly using his shirt and pants as a towel to wipe his hands(ever hear of disposable gloves). He even licked his fingers to open a plastic to go bag. COME ON MAN not in front of the customer. Judging by the hand full of customers at the peak of lunch. It seems Im not the only one whos noticed the unsanitary conditions at Winners BBQ.

Can you say Thank you Jesus!! This food is amazing! I just made it home and just took two bites into my food and I said let me write a review Right now. A co worker told me about this place a while back. The crazy thing is I was supposed to go try a bbq place on McKinney today. No thank you. I live in Garland and this is close!! I had the mvp with pull pork and ribs and got my boyfriend the mvp with sausage, pull pork and ribs. He is bbq champ and even he said damn this is good LOL!.The real MVP is Winners COOKS . I will be in the gym tomorrow but for now I will enjoy. I saw reviews saying this a backyard bbq you damn right.. its southern folks backyard smoking bbq. This food is good. And I rarely do a review. I hope they continue to be prosperous!!

Sausage was good. Ribs were good. The dry rub on them was a little sweet and a little spicy. The pulled pork was also seasoned well and very tender. My son ordered a baked potato with pulled pork and it was the size of his head. All the portions were generous. My other son ordered the brisket sandwich and it was stuffed as well. Had to be a pound of meat on it. My sliced brisket had a good flavor but I was disappointed that it was dry. The sides were good and I liked the smoky flavor in the mac and cheese, seems like they may mix in some brisket drippings to add flavor. Will try again and hope the brisket is not dry the next time. Overall enjoyed it :)

We have tried many BBQ places through Texas and Oklahoma. This is one of the more authentic smoke flavor I have tasted. The portions are generous, the BBQ sauce has that smoky flavor to it, the sides are just the right portion and very tasty, the ambience reminded me of a very traditional Louisiana hang out. The only reason I dont give a five star it is because as a Texan I eat my BBQ with good sweet tea, and thats where this place needs to improve a little bit. The sweet tea was not fresh, maybe because I came at 1p when the tea was a couple of hours old. But overall I will recommend it and I will definitely comeback for more.

2nd time eating here. Food is great. Pregnant cashier is completely RUDE. The first time I came here my co worker felt like she was rude and asked did I think she was. Well hell yeah!! 2nd visit, me and my daughter. I order pulled pork she says, we dont have none but its the look she gives like I was getting on her nerves..i asked my daughter, did she come off as rude my daughter said ...Very RUDE.. Hmm..Maybe its because shes pregnant!!Hell no if you cant have a half way decent attitude in a customer service position take your ASS home!!

Got the lunch special. Chopped brisket tasted good, but the sides were bland or tasted like they were out of a can. They only serve potato salad, sweetened pinto beans, and mac and cheese, so they should be excellent, not lame. Not worth $10. Maybe $7. But would be worth it at $5. Music is loud so it was uncomfortable taking to others. The bbq sauce bottles were sticky. Little to no decorations which made it boring to be in there. Place just looks dirty.

Ive been in Texas for 18 yrs and finally have found a BBQ joint to bring my family and friends to when they visit. This place reminds me of Kansas City BBQ. And if you been to Kansas City you know what Im talking about. Good God, that 2 meat potato with brisket and ribs got me hooked. The staff is very friendly. Unlike other reviews, every time that I have visited the restaurant it was clean. As long as theyre doing business, Im a customer.

Brisket had excellent flavor, but was a bit dry on my initial visit. Sausage was phenomenal, and easily the best thing there. Ribs were good, but definitely not as good as Lockharts. Beans were passable, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The potato salad was most excellent, very hard to find it as good as this! The sauce was quite similar to Lockharts, in fact, hard to distinguish from it, which was a good thing really. A good bang for the buck!

Super great BBQ. They give you plenty of it. The flavor is there, you dont even need the sauce annnnd finally a place where the sides are even awesome! I get the baked potato with chopped beef and it is delish. I have had the ribs which the last batch was a tad spicy for me but tolerable. (Side note: I dont do spicy). Mac n cheese is creamy, potato salad has the right balance, the green beans are on point!

I came here with a large group on the recommendation of a friend and was pleasently surprised by the quality of food. Everything tasted great and we got our food within a timely manner. The music was so loud that my friends were yelling at each other to be heard and it was still difficult to understand what they said. They were also very busy and didnt have enough people there to keep the tables clean.
