Overall the experience here was awful. Had a party of 6, plenty of booths and smaller tables open, we were asked to squeeze in a booth for 4. Not going to happen, but thanks. Not quite sure why the hostess didnt think of pushing two smaller tables together, must have been too much work. So we waited at the bar for 20 minutes where not a single person acknowledge we existed or if we wanted to order drinks. Which we all wanted to order a drink, not how to run a bar but thats fine. They continued to smear their dirty little hands INSIDE the margarita glasses. Guess I shouldnt want a drink at that point. Finally we got seated, at a table for 8, hostess sat 4 people on one side and two on the other. Logically that made more sense than 3 and 3. The drink order was taken by one server who forgot everyones orders by the time she returned. Ordered queso which is subpar its just straight velveta cheese melted. So authentic. 4 plates were brought out with the queso, guess 2 people dont count. Food order was taken by another server, who apparently forgot one of our orders completely. Our food arrives surprisingly quickly, minutes one entree. Server asked how the food was. Would be better if we all had our food... She does come by to ask if he still wants his entree, clearly yes. We went out to dinner to order food to eat. Sitting and watching everyone eat for 20 minutes didnt magically make someone full. By the time the last entree arrives we had already finished our dishes. No manager comp on the dish that was completely forgotten in the order. Food was acceptable but Im sure Taco Bell would have been just as acceptable at that point. Terrible service for sub par food. Highly do not recommend wasting your time, money or life here.

My family & I ate at this place this past Friday/Aug. 4th, 2017. We were provided with very poor service & the food wouldve probably been better at Taco Bell. Sorry Taco Bell. They extorted $20 in gratuity that was not at all deserved... I am a giver & have no problem paying for good service. One, they didnt have coffee as a beverage stating thats only delivered in the morning. Their puffy tacos were more like taco bowls, btw my sister did request a different order. My flautas were ginormous & quite greasy I mayve used like 4-5 napkins just to absorb the excess oil... my order didnt include the standard rice, beans & salad/pico. We were celebrating a graduate & I chose to not complain or be confrontational. I truly fear the evil service ppl do when angry & whats truly done to ones food. However, regardless how convenient this place is or how hungry you find yourself... DO NOT EAT HERE! Im usually cool, tolerant & empathize with the service industry... but this place needs to be hit on their bottom line to really understand that we, the Customer Does Rule. Ok, done

We stopped to have lunch at this little hole in the wall while touring Water St. Square. My husband is a disabled vet who requires the assistance of a service dog. When we walked in the restaurant the person at the counter looked us up and down and said "Wow... Uhh, 2 seats on the patio?". We probably should have left right then, but against better judgement we explained to her that he was a service animal. She responded with "well you know, hes a dog and people are going to get caught off-guard" referring to the customers. The dog wears a bright red vest and several identification tags that say "SERVICE DOG", so I dont really know what she meant by that. She found us a seat in the back and we ordered our food. I ordered a chicken fajita salad and my husband ordered fish tacos. The chicken was terribly dry on my salad and the fish did not taste fresh at all. Food was bad, service was awful. Would not return or recommend to any friends traveling to the Corpus Christi area.

Waited 35 minutes outside. They called us in and said they were waiting to clean the tables. We waited 15 more minutes to clean the tables when there was a restaurant full of empty, clean tables (about 20 of them). Mentioned the empty tables right next to the clean ones and they made an excuse as that it wasnt in their section and they were understaffed. We waited a few more minutes for them to clean the tables and no effort was made so we finally left. A few groups of people that were also waiting before us decided to leave due to the bad service. After reading the other reviews, I am glad that we decided to leave. Hire more people or get some help instead of wasting everyones time. Environment: No music, only one TV was on, no one was checking on the people waiting and they would not let us order drinks while waiting.

I ate here today with a group of ladies. The service was a complete disaster. We waited 30 minutes before our waiter came around. We finally ordered our food. Another 45 minutes, the waiter brought our food in and set it all on a serving table and left completely. We all got up and got our plate of food and served our selves. After we ate, we waited at least 45 minutes for our ticket. After he picked up our tickets, he thanked us for helping him. (The nerve of him). This is the worst service Ive ever in my life ever had in a restaurant. Oh by the way, management needs training on how to treat customers. The first time there and the last time Ill ever eat there. P.S. Almost forgot, we also had to place our finished plates on the serving table left in our room.

I asked the waitress what kind of soft drinks they had since there were none on the menu and she told me them, adding that they also had fruit teas but they were "expensive". I have no idea why she need to add that comment, but it made me feel like she thought theyd be too expensive for me. Then I went to the bathroom which was not clean at all. It was 12pm and they open at 11. Surely someone must have been told to clean the night before or at opening. I could tell it had not been cleaned as there was clumpsnof hair and dust at every corner and the toilets were dirty. So besides the service and the cleanliness, the food was not great. It was very dry and the portions were smaller than what the usual Mexican food restaurant would serve.

I went there last night and had a bad experience. Starting off with the service it was slow and our waitress was not attentive at all. It took about 30 minutes for us to get queso, the salsa here is probably the worse Ive ever had in my life. I dont understand how they could mess that up, I tried to fix it myself so I asked for salt because our table didnt have any she took about 15 minutes to find me some. We ordered some fajitas it took about an hour to get them, they had absolutely no flavor, and the rice taste over cooked. I would not recommend this place for the food, its a pretty place with a pretty patio and its downtown but the food and the service here is horrible.
